  1. I agree with @TheVileOne about the speech to Natasha. “I’m sorry for what I’m about to do… which is intimidate someone whose father I killed into leaving me and my own family alone.” Also, how long was their Uber escape ride? They escaped at dark and got out when it was light outside, which given the time of year it is, isn’t that early.
  2. For the record, Old Steve was just my initial gut impression while watching the episode, when he was talking about a friend in hiding who wouldn’t want to be found or whatever it was. It makes much more sense that it’s somehow connected to Clint/his wife.
  3. I don’t think anyone mentioned it so I could have misheard it, but when Clint was talking to Laura on the phone, he referenced someone (Jack or the Tracksuits) working for “the big guy,” did he not? This episode almost felt like one of those Walking Dead episodes where everything felt light and happy and then something shocking and horrible happened at the end.
  4. Rumor going around that Letitia Wright is leaving Black Panther 2 and the MCU over their vaccine mandate.
  5. My gut with the watch is that it’s tied to Steve Rogers, specifically somehow Old Man Cap. The pending Elenor/Jack reveal is starting to feel like it will be set up as the/a cliffhanger for season 2. It also feels like Echo will find out, during the finale, that Kazi killed her dad before Ronin showed up on Kingpin’s orders. She’ll storm off/disappear to set up the actual face turn in her own show.
  6. For the movies, I’ll be surprised if this is anything other than acknowledging this is a separate universe in the multiverse, maybe a cameo in something like Dr. Strange 2, or at most, Deadpool being transplanted to the MCU. I’d be really surprised if they rely on the Fox movies for new MCU content. As for Disney+, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Fox universe show up in What If?
  7. Yeah, Screen Culture has a fake Multiverse of Madness trailer out there too.
  8. So hyped for that… then saw it’s months away…
  9. Likely first “look” at Kang the Conqueror, via crew shirt.
  10. I missed this during the show, but the garage the Tracksuit Mafia was in towards the beginning was Fat Man Auto.
  11. Can’t wait for them to reveal Mona was the boss during a finale post-credit scene.
  12. Jack as Uncle makes more sense as a surprise within the show, while Kingpin is the Kang-at-the-end-Loki surprise that “makes sense” within the larger MCU. Clint knows about Uncle, but it wasn’t made clear if he knows who Uncle actually is. If he does and it’s Jack, I’m guessing we’ll find out next week.
  13. I’ve assumed it would basically be Dark Avengers but called Thunderbolts.
  14. I literally only realized while watching the show Tony Dalton is playing Swordsman, not Timothy Dalton. I assume the “Thanos was right” graffiti in the bathroom was related to the Flagsmashers.
  15. The MCU is somehow nailing just how fucking traumatic living in a super hero world would be without being all “grim and gritty” about it.
  16. Or in some brief scene where Ock is fighting Tobey Spidey when suddenly Ock gets pulled from his universe into the MCU.
  17. It’s probably too much to hope for a surprise Liv Octavius cameo.
  18. I think we’ll get a fair share of X-Men related shows, especially since they seem to be using the shows to flesh out/introduce lesser known characters.
  19. I haven’t seen Eternals yet, but some of the reviews I’ve read have mentioned the cast size, and it got me wondering about how they’ll introduce the X-Men. Will it be related to the multiverse or the snap and all of a sudden there are all these mutants around and the movies pick and choose which ones get featured in a massive cast? Or do they start small with an original 5 and flesh out from there? I don’t think they’ll go this route, but I think I would seriously consider going the early Arrowverse route and have the MCU and X-Men worlds be two separate universes, a la Arrow/Flash and Supergirl prior to Crisis. It cuts out the baggage of “where have you been all this time” or merging multiverses and figuring out what happened when, but the TVA establishes that multiversal travel is possible so you can do the big crossover event movie every few years.
  20. Dr Strange is going through six weeks of “significant” reshoots, with Waldron and Raimi still writing/directing respectively.
  21. Most stuff so far has been announced/known, but this was the first I’ve heard of this:
  22. My daughter is watching The Ghost and Molly McGee, and it’s weirding me out a little too much that the voice of the titular ghost is Mastershake, not as in I recognize the voice actor, as in he’s 100% doing Mastershake’s voice for the character. That said, I’m now in the mood to rewatch some old ATHF.
  23. I can see Eternals being “high concept” while still being constrained to the MCU formula leading to reviewers and a lot of non-comics reading MCU fans being turned off. Knowing really nothing about the plot of the movie, the concept seems like it may have played better as a D+ show. Regardless, I’m eager to see it.
  24. They should rip off the Wakanda colonizing space story from the comics, just so they can do a Poochie-esque “T’Challa and Shuri died on the way to another planet.”
