  1. I reflexively voted for X before realizing that I've never actually seen XXIV. Oops. But Bret-Owen edges out the Bret-Austin submission match as my favourite Wrestlemania match ever, and the ladder match is pretty great as well. I doubt I voted wrong.
  2. Well... not really, no. But I take your meaning.
  3. You're familiar with the concept of "begging the question", yes?
  4. Reading the results of 5 makes me miss the days when they had a real tag team division. Ten full-time teams made the card!
  5. I haven't seen 23 (or if I have I don't remember it), but I wouldn't call 11 dogshit. Owen and Yoko winning the tag titles was fun, LT vs Bigelow was one of the best non-wrestler matches ever, and, um... okay, that's not much for a 'Mania, is it?
  6. Matt D is right, but if we were to start listing all the things about modern superhero movies that people wouldn't believe ten or twenty years ago we'll be at it a while. "They're going to add Iron Man to a Spider-Man movie, not to give Iron Man some exposure, but to boost Spidey's box office."
  7. But Jake's feud with Honky Tonk and resulting injury were before Honky won the belt. Was the plan for Jake to reignite his feud with Honky after Steamboat transitioned the title to the latter?
  8. Nobody wants to see Bayley turn into a jerk of that magnitude, though.
  9. Using websites which have been likened to the collective farting of thousand assholes to determine whether they did a really good job or not is the problem.
  10. Finally got around to starting this. Might have made a mistake starting on Hardcore. So far I've shot some rabbits; let a bunch of coyotes run off with Bonnie's chickens (but she seemed to think I was a good shot anyway); finished the race with her on my third attempt - didn't come close to winning, but at least I didn't die or fall too far behind and have the mission cancelled; encountered two guys in a fist fight on the side of the road and accidentally trampled one with my horse; shot some outlaws with the marshal; and made some easy money playing poker in Armadillo. Game seems alright.
  11. I'd think a better analogy would be tying a director's compensation to the movie's Tomatometer score. Which I can't imagine actually happening, but then, I don't really know anything about how Hollywood operates.
  12. Not really, no. Is that common?
  13. True. Of course, we also (as a society) spend a lot of money training and paying people who should be keeping track of this stuff. You shouldn't have to do it yourself.
  14. I always thought "Kid Rock" sounded like some '80s cartoon writer needed a name for a fake rock star and didn't want to think too hard about it.
  15. Thanks! Do companies often tie contracts to Metacritic scores? That sounds crazy to me.
  16. I didn't think there was an actual bad match all night. Fine show. The main event highlighted the stupidity of multi-person matches being inherently no-DQ, of course. So the competitors had carte blanche to use any weapon they wanted, but all six spent the first twenty minutes fighting unarmed because... they're all idiots? Props to Corbin for being the first to clue in, I guess. Match was still good despite this.
  17. Sorry, but I have no idea what you're talking about here. Got a link?
  18. Do we know that for sure? I've been hoping a better creative team gets a shot at playing with the improved game mechanics of Fallout 4.
  19. Isn't Rusev vs Nakamura a rematch of the March Madness finals a few years back? I feel that's not being played up enough.
  20. Wow, I never considered that, and it sounds a lot better than Cena vs Undertaker.
  21. No mention at all of Rusev, currently one of the most over guys on the roster.
  22. After two and a half years I thought this game had lost all capacity to surprise me, but I just burst out laughing at the discovery that Brooks in Far Harbour will buy the murder victim's skull for a single bottle cap.
  23. Is it overly cynical to think that Vince not caring about the B show should result in Smackdown having better writing?
