  1. Spend 15 minutes getting hammered with Conan:
  2. Eternal Warrior is the only Valiant title to disappoint me thus far. I read the first issue twice and still don't know what's going on.
  3. I can't believe Orgazmo is higher than Age Of Innocence, jeez!
  4. Once Were Warriors falling from 114 to 293 really saddens me.
  5. We're getting a really different bottom half of the ballot thus far. I fear some films I really love and had up high aren't gonna make it.
  6. Bummed I didn't vote for Jacob's Ladder. Have no good reason for it.
  7. Note From Rippa - Last Seduction was the last movie on the last countdown. Televiper was again the high vote then (#37). I swear I am not picking on him. He is the only one that this has happened to so far. Yeah, not surprised I'm still the high vote here but I would've thought this would've garnered more votes than last time given how much this film still gets pimped.
  8. Yeah, sluggish play from Germany but that ref is irritating. Lots of bogus calls so far.
  9. Note From Rippa - Televiper was also the high vote in the original poll. Though he had it #28 then. This is true, it did slide down my ballot again because I've consciously exposed myself to even more 90's costume drama and other films were better but its still a really good movie.
  10. Went to a double-feature of Thrashin' & Gleaming The Cube this weekend: old-school cheesy 80's skate-or-die madness, its was awesome~!
  11. Would like that Invaders title more if Spitfire and Union Jack were in it.
  12. Klose just tied Gerd Muller's international scoring record.
  13. It's Harras but its also Didio. This shit's been going on since long before the New 52.
  14. That Robocop trailer looked like absolute dogshit. But I'll go see it anyway because I like the cast. The suit re-design is a big turn-off though and this film clearly won't have the heart, humor, blood, or guts (as in literal viscera and smart-directorial choices) of the original.
  15. I am stunned by how many of you in your 30's are crabbing about being old, acting old, feeling old, etc. Sure, sometimes, when I think about how I first joined this board in like '99/2000, I feel a little overwhelmed by how long ago that was. But I agree with whoever was quoting Dean that your early twenties are often barely worth remembering. I wouldn't trade 35 for 25 and I am damn sure looking forward to my 40's. 35 to 50 is prime adulthood right there, when we ought to be operating at peak faculty. I mean, shit, it's not like we're 70. Then again, my Dad is 73 and he runs circles around most men half his age. Age to me is entirely mental -- the physical signs are a blessing that keep me from overdoing it and treating my body like garbage, which I did from like 15 to 30.
  16. I swear I'm gonna wake up one morning and find all this DC stuff to have been one long bad dream.
  17. 35. Which is not old. Old is relative and mostly a mindset.
  18. Those of you diggin' the new Autopsy should also check out the new Coffins:
  19. (early) Peggy Lee is my favorite. Also, Blossom Dearie, Johnny Hartman, Abbey Lincoln.
  20. Yeah, Godflesh has aged surprisingly well considering how dated a lot of industrial sounds became.
  21. Jon Neise throw a complete game shut-out last night, which lifted my spirits as a Mets fan and gave all of us at CitiField something to cheer about. Beating the Phillies 5-0, we'll take it!
  22. And I have tickets tonight I expect another funereal pall over CitiField as without Byrd's bat we'll be lucky to even score a run.
  23. Daredevil had some of the best tie-ins with crossovers in the 80's: Mutant Massacre, Fall Of The Mutants, and Inferno particularly. I was always partial to Acts Of Vengeance myself, particularly the Captain America issue where Magneto confronts the Red Skull.
