  1. I was thinking about this as well. UFC still is a nice chunk of the programing on FS1 so they'll have plenty of time to fill. I wonder if we'll get SD replays, quarterly specials, or WWE 24 style documentaries on FS1?
  2. They still work quite a bit. For Rockstar Pro Wrestling in Dayton, just debuted for PWG, weekly for IWA Mid South, plus other promotions.
  3. I know Kofi was apart of a team that consisted of Kofi, Kane, Big Show, and Santino and took on The Corre. I was at that Mania. I need to get to another because it's the only one I've been to and I don't want to say that the only Mania I've been to included Miz in the main event plus included the in ring debuts of Snooki and Michael Cole.
  4. I'm friendly with someone who shared a locker room with Ivaliesse a few years back. He's someone that almost everyone would know and has been around 15+ years and he said "that bitch walked in the door and sat right down in the locker room, didn't say hello or shake hands with any of the boys. 10 years ago, I would have ripped her ass a new one, but I'm too old for that shit now."
  5. Bobby Fulton, of Fantastics Fame, runs a "Big Time Wrestling" in Ohio. The FB page now dubs them "World Classic Professional Big Time Wrestling". He advertises "Live Wire" Sean Casey as a "WWE Network star". He may have done 3-4 jobs on WCW Saturday Night and WWF Shotgun Saturday night. He also had a post advertising the promotion is available for sold shows, fund raisers, etc and listed pics of stars available to appear on the show including Flair, HBK, Ryback, Cody Rhodes, and more. Classic indie stuff.
  6. HWA in Cincinnati was a developmental program for WCW and WWE so they had an old WWE rings that they no longer use and a couple WCW rings. WCW ropes were lower and the boys loved those rings compared to the old WWE ring, which hurt my hand when I slapped the mat hard as a ref. I can't imagine bumping regularly in those old WWE rings or someone like Foley, who fell through the HIAC onto one.
  7. I was lucky enough to win free tickets to the CWC taping on my honeymoon and good God was Swann over. He has a new(ish) song that the crowd was singing. His reaction was up there with Ibushi as best of the night.
  8. I went to the Columbus ROH show last night. I've only been to one other ROH show. The show was 4 hours. Are they typically they long? The previous one wasn't. I'm not the biggest ROH fan, but it was enjoyable. Four hours though on a Sunday night though? Maybe I'm just getting old. Cole v. Lio Rush was my favorite match of the night. The Bucks and Dalton Castle had the longest lines for meet & greet.
  9. Last I read, WWE signed Seth Petruzelli to be their striking coach at NXT, despite no pro wrestling experience, to my knowledge. Must be a kick that WWE brass is on at the moment.
  10. There's a video I saw on You Tube recently, not sure if it was through here or elsewhere that saw Koko Ware v. a masked jobber in Memphis. The jobber was allegedly working an outlaw territories too and Koko beat the shit out of him.
  11. Apologies if this is in the wrong thread, but Meltzer is reporting that someone high up in WWE, that has never swerved him, has stated Undertakers WM opponent is not an active member of the roster. Thoughts? Who's currently not an active member that is worthy for the spot? Angle, Goldberg, Sting. Anyone else?
  12. I didn't think Cornette would be crazy about LU, this shouldn't be a shock to anyone. I think he's really ramping up the hate and yelling from every mountain top that he can to help maintain some relevancy. He's not working for a major promotion and he needs to draw attention to his Twitter and Podcast so he can increase listeners and promote his appearances and merch. Similar to Donald Trump (he'd hate this analogy) he's going to say wild shit that some are going to love and some are going to hate but at the end of his rant about the flippy Young Bucks, grabbing Joey Ryan's dick, or how unrealistic Lucha Underground is, he's going to tell everyone to follow him on Twitter and buy his books about the Louisville Gardens and the Midnight Express.
  13. I think there's a bigger stink about Bryan because notable sports doctors have cleared him, while WWE's has not. I believe WWE's hesitation has more to do with the lawsuits than anything.
  14. Typically they have 3-4 guys/gals signing before each show.
  15. I'm not sure why anyone would ask for a release unless they had a fairly concrete deal in place in Japan. I get that the waiting game can be frustrating, but so can dealing with indy promoters and having to bust your ass to get bookings, sell merch, etc to survive on the indies.
