  1. RevPro will return to live shows in front of fans in July and they already announced that Shota Umino will return immediately, so they could also send Tsuji and Uemura there.
  2. That was a super fun show, six hours that just flew by! I think this was a huge success for CyberFight and I'm so happy Covid couln't put a stop to it. All three title matches delivered big time. The DDT vs. Kongo 12-Man Tag was a fantastic showcase and pretty much delivered everything you could want from a match like that. Kitamiya/Inamura vs. Takeshita/Ueono was great also as well as all three Six-Man Tag Showcase matches. Strong show of the year candidate!
  3. I kind of like it, but I hope this isn't the beginning of the sports entertainment era for NOAH. If they end up shaving Nakajima's glorious locks, though, I swear.... If anyone deserves to have his head shaved it's Kenou and his stupid bowl cut.
  4. Due to the "events" of Monday they also changed the DDT vs. KONGO 14-Man Tag to a 12-Man Tag and Masa Kitamiya will now face Hideki Okatani in a Singles Match. I wonder how long this show will end up being? This is now the 12th match on the main show plus three dark matches. 6-7 hours? I mean the three big title matches alone will probably take up 90-120 minutes.
  5. I hope Inamura vs. Tanaka II, Inamura vs. Ohtani and Inamura vs. Abe make tape at least.
  6. These guys had a match you wouldn't expect on a random NOAH house show.
  7. Holy shit, I wrote this on July 1st 2014 and almost seven years later it finally happened:
  8. I expected most of the card to be Six-Man Tags, since there are three big title matches on the show and all will go long presumably, but Match 2 is completely unnecessary, You could have that on any random NOAH show. And a 14-Man tag? Do we really need Haoh, Nioh and Tadasuke in there? Just scrap those three and three of the DDT guys and this would look much better. At least we get a small taste of the Nakamura/Sakaguchi confrontation I was hoping for. Match 4 is looking the best to me out of all the matches. Let's hope this show can even take place at this point.
  9. Oh, wow, I for sure thought someone would have already posted those by now. Both well worth a watch:
  10. Didn't they say Falcon & Winter Soldier would tie into multiple future projects? I wonder if Thunderbolts is one of them. I, for one, would totally be up for some Thunderbolts.
  11. Isn't it kind of weird that they are having two NXT UK Championship defenses within 24 hours and they don't even mention the respective other match on the respective other program? I guess everyone knows that NXT UK is pre-taped and that WALTER will retain in both matches, but just from a kayfabe-perspective, shouldn't they address what happens, if Ciampa wins the belt?
  12. If they like old people so much, why not sign Ishikawa and Ikeda to contracts? Cowards!
  13. I've been waiting for something like this. Just give me Katsuhiko Nakajima vs. Yukio Sakaguchi, that's all I want.
  14. Just coming in here to recommend a show, that might have went under the radar. One of the things I miss the most about Covid-era wrestling is PWG and all the Lucha guys like Bandido, Black Taurus and Laredo Kid. (I can't be bothered to watch Impact or ROH to see those guys and actual Lucha Libre from Mexico is completely unwatchable for me personally.) However this Lucha Memes show from January that's on IWTV completely filled my hole. Just look at this amazing card: Almost everything on this show is worth a watch! I mean Tony Deppen vs. Ricky Marvin, which genius booked this? Black Taurus is so unbelievably good, I still don't understand how he ended up with Impact. How are WWE, AEW and NJPW not all in a bidding war for this guy? Still wish the bigger US Indies would bring some of those guys over more often, especially GCW (probably too expensive to bring them to the East Coast?)
  15. New Logo looks cool and green is back, both in the logo and in the arena!
  16. A lot of people seem to think that Mutoh is winning the belt here, but I hope NOAH realizes this is not the way go. Having your company ace lose to a barely mobile 58-year old is not how you grow your company, even if that 58-year old is one of the biggest legends of the sport without doubt. That's a WWE-style move and even in the corny cartoony sports-entertainment world of WWE this is barely acceptable, but at least there you expect this kind of stuff. Sure, it would create some headlines, but in terms of actually establishing yourselves as the No. 2 promotion in Japan and as a serious alternative to New Japan, this would be a huge step backwards instead of forwards in my opinion.
  17. Last week's show was done by Mark Pickering and Stewart Fulton.
  18. Not really familiar to be honest, but this probably still deserves a mention:
  19. You only have to scroll down to his last review of a WALTER WWE match: https://handwerkreviews.wordpress.com/2019/10/29/walter-vs-kushida-wwe-nxt-10-9-2019/ But don't read too much of it or you might run the risk of having your eyes permanently stuck in the back of your head.
  20. I thought this would finally be the year. ? Unless Mark Davis is still injured and Kyle Fletcher is the mystery partner, but I doubt it.
  21. Wow, couldn't possibly disagree more. Blake Christian is cool and all, but Alex Zayne is in my opinion the best highflyer in the world right now not named Ospreay or Bandido.
  22. But you know they already did several times, right? Their 2017 match won MOTY accolades all over the place at the time.
  23. I'm a huge fan of Damien Chazelle. I've had Whiplash at #5 and La La Land at #13 as you can see, but First Man was a total snooze fest in my opinion, huge disappointment. OK, I'll give you that. You also voted for Boyhood, whereas I only had it in my honorable mentions. I think I moved it down there at the last minute, I had it somewhere in the 80s before then. As a bonus here's a list of the only 19 movies from the Top 248 list I have not seen yet: Free Solo and Tim's Vermeer have moved to the top of my watchlist. The Other Side of the Wind might be my biggest omission. I've been wanting to watch that since it came out, but always put it off for something else. I've recently watched First Cow and if that one's any indication of what Kelly Reichardt's movies are like, I won't touch Meek's Cutoff with a ten foot pole.
