  1. Talk'n Shop is fun as long as you accept it's meant to be bad. And if you have a drink or two in you, which I think is the intent. I normally listen to it on the drive home so so much for that part. But playing it on 1.5/x2x speed it''s a good quick listen. And they can be pretty entertaining. MLW for me is worth listening to when Konnan is on. Tried Cornette's podcast and it's good but not worth going out of my way to listen to. And hearing JR's podcast, I just adore Melina now. She sounds like she's got a good thing going for her, and she seems so damn nice. EDIT: Just thought back to the Victoria episode and I realized why I liked her so damn much. She just seems like an awesome person to be around. Too bad the restaurant went downhill as I would have loved to check it out.
  2. Not sure how Dana is in the ring, but she's the only NXT female where at this point I'm much more interested in her looks than anything else. Hopefully she's good in the ring because if so she'll be a big star in no time. Enjoyed Owen/Balor, especially the leg work. Owens was talking all kinds of shit, with my favorite being "C'mon, Balor, catch your breath!" during a chinlock. Couldn't help but laugh at that.
  3. If ever there was a case of "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!" it's that shirt. Holy fuck.
  4. Also you can 100% it for trophies in less than 15 minutes. Seriously. Got Mat Mania yesterday. Yep, trophies are easy to get. I got a few just by going in parts of the settings. As far as gameplay it's a button masher in every sense of the word. It's a fun time though. It's pretty cool to toss somebody out then do a running plancha to the floor. You can't choose any wrestlers, it's more good guy going through five guys towards championship. The gameplay's easy enough but it's hard to beat the guy. Also doesn't help that there's no life bar, just racking up points.
  5. Only thing I see from the store is the timed trial for PS3. Also an addon for the Extended Cut. Not a fan of timed trials, but given the options might think about it.
  6. Saw the Flash Sale link and was all in buying some games. Talked with my wife, had games we both wanted and added funds. What happens when I try now? The sale's done. FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!! Now to debate if we REALLY want to pay $10 for Katamari, no matter how great it is.
  7. They should have done a shirt similar to what's featured from Roots of Fight. That would be such a natural idea considering that's likely what they wear anyway. And the HOF shirts are great. Might consider that Macho Man one. And never thought I'd say this, but I might consider that Bellas Pop Vinyl figure.
  8. Couple things: -Just saw Roman on Conan and he wasn't embarassing. He wasn't the best guess ever but I expected worse. -Finally got around to seeing what Max Landis did before this video. It's got a neat evolution where it starts with grainy videos of him fucking around. Over time it looked better and now he has equipment to do great-looking videos. And this is definitely not the first wrestling video he did. One of his earlier ones was a tribute to Orton that got a chuckle out of me.
  9. Yeah, we've been singing his praises in the ROH thread. I need to see more of Dalton, that's for sure. As it is he might be my only reason for seeing his stuff in CHIKARA.
  10. That would be outstanding. No way it makes the actual tournament, but maybe something that could be done before/after it. Shit, is there anything stopping us from doing that now as long as it's outside the tournament?
  11. Is that the worst thing in the world? Arrive, Superman Punch, Spear, Leave. I mean it's not like we've had the champion on TV all the time the past year. From WM to now we've had what like 5-6 months total of not having a champion or not having the champion show up. Put that on a shirt and it would have sold tons more than that atrocity he's got now. Also would have been a smart play on Brock's shirt leading to WM. Good one, sir. Also, at this point I'm much more interested in the Divas tag match than the main event. And that's not meant as a knock on the Divas as much as it's a knock on the build for the title match. Never thought I'd say that, but they're actually doing a good job with the build.
  12. Foley's going to be there for sure. He has that RAINN raffle that he did, and it dealt with all kinds of stuff for the area. It'd be weird if Shawn's not there considering the Kliq. You never know though with his hunting schedule.
  13. I'm not into soccer(futbol) jerseys, but holy moly that is an amazing piece of clothing. Cesaro really should wear that for the show. Hell, he should have one with his name on it. That Outta Nowhere shirt is an interesting take on the flag, but I prefer the jersey. EDIT: On second thought that Orton shirt is outstanding. Still prefer the jersey, but can't hate on anybody getting that.
  14. Whoever said this is the chillest tournament final in a while is correct. Like many I'd be happy with either guy winning. Love Rusev, but voted Nakamura. The guy just has that something special that I would prefer over many a wrestler.
  15. The Gene Simmons interview was a fun listen. I was never a KISS fan, but hearing him and Paul sometime back I understand why people love them so much. Might not make me a fan of their music, but I get it.
  16. Three things I'll forever remember about that Rumble: 1. HHH winning it after his comeback. 2. Mr. Perfect in the final 3. 3. Hurricane trying to chokeslam HHH and Austin. Come to think of it that was a fun Rumble match.
  17. It's one thing to read about kids who like the main WWE guys like Cena and Orton. It's another entirely when reading about them liking Pentagon, Jr. and Sexy Star. Bless you guys. I can only hope when I'm a dad to have similar success.
  18. I remember I couldn't stand O'Reilly for the longest time. Didn't mind him as part of Future Shock, it was all from his teaming with Richards. I couldn't him or the music and wanted to avoid anything with him in it. Of course the main issue wasn't necessarily him, it was all Davey. Once Davey left I found myself slowly starting to like the guy. His appearance on Colt's podcast certainly helped. The teaming with Fish was the best thing that could happen to him. Now I'm actually a quasi-fan of the guy. Not to make it about me, but I told him pretty much all this at one of the after parties. He was absolutely fine with it and we chatted for a little bit. Nice guy. And Oyaji, it's good to know Kyle is so concerned for our prostates.
  19. For best commentary I want to lean toward one of the big matches that JR called. While not a great match, 'Taker/Mankind HITC was a spectacle. And JR did his damndest to make Mankind seem like the toughest guy ever. Lots of people still remember the match and JR's call, whether they still watch wrestling or not. As for Rumble 92, holy crap that was the best Rumble match in history. And Heenan was perfect in what he did. What a masterpiece. It's just unfortunate that I saw it last right before this year's Rumble which was not good.
  20. So what are the chances of all these sites correcting the sensationalist stories they ran about this? I've seen way too many articles about how Rey's move killed him or something along those lines. It's disrespectful and disgusting to blatantly do that without knowing anything. Would they even care to do it? I don't think so.
  21. Not so sure about all that, but I'm cool with Sami winning at the end of it all. Given how things go, I should spite vote for Rusev because of Sami. But it's Shinsuke fucking Nakamura. Picking between him and Rusev will be tough. Both have been great. Nak gets a slight edge because he's so damn wacky and I could watch shit tons of what he does. But Rusev had a helluva year and despite the fans being "too kewl for skool" they're getting the desired reactions. This is going to be a close call.
  22. I saw that Sami lost. Looking at the brackets I feel like Darth Vader and just want to scream "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"
  23. Looking at this a few times, it looks like his hands/arms took the brunt of it and he barely got his forehead to make contact. It still hurts I'm sure and it's advisable to not tempt fate with these. But unless I'm way off base it doesn't seem as bad as it was when first watching it. That's not how life works and his neck definitely took the worst of that. I don't expect that level of bumping from late '90s All Japan, much less Daniel Bryan on a fucking Smackdown throw away match. There's a happy medium somewhere between William Regal assisting a guy doing a backflip and the above. My bad, I guess it was wishful thinking on my part. Looking at how the neck came down upon impact you're right. I guess I was hoping that Daniel wouldn't risk paralysis with crazy shit like that.
  24. Dalton Castle is going to be a huge star. Not sure where that will happen, but he will be. In two appearances he's established his character, has a killer entrance and is good in the ring. And it can only get better. I get that WWE would "ruin" him, but maybe NXT could work for him? Either way, I need to see more from him. I'm just so bummed I got there late and missed this live. Resting on a man-made chair was aces.
