I don't believe they didn't even sell the stupid thing so we would have something to talk about. They don't care about us at all.

The thing with the smackdown six is that they were basically in a 3 way tag team feud for a lengthy period of time. With this that's trickier. It just doesn't work that way. You can't just say Cody and Goldust and the Shield or whatever. You have the Usos in the mix with a ton of great matches. You have Team Hell No. You have Cena or Punk as the other guy in six-man tags. You have the Real Americans getting cycled in. You have the Wyatts, especially in that huge twelve man tag. It's basically everyone with maybe the Shield being the MVP just from the fact they had 1-2 good matches a week every week of the year. Really, who stands out more are Tons of Funk or the PtPs or 3MB who just weren't in those matches and aren't in the giant mass of good tag wrestling, but maybe they were having good ones together on the C show that I didn't catch. What this year feels like more than anything else is the Dangerous Alliance era of WCW where there were multiple good tag matches every single week.

IX is really an underrated classic, and it plays more to fans of those older games. I really enjoyed it. I don't think it was as in depth with sidequests, but still satisfying. I really liked IX until the last disc where the existential bs kicks in and you've pretty much gained every ability there is to gain which means that there isn't enough incentive to keep going to the end.

Surely 2013 NXT is putting out better matches than 2010 NXT and Superstars? I think the question is whether or not we'd count FCW which had its share of very good stuff in 2011-2012 at least.

The trick is to watch it on your terms. Even watching on youtube a day later, it was downright exhausting to get through all the good action this week.

How's that Final Fantasy Dimensions game for the Android? I honestly feel like everything I want out of the franchise will look like that, scaled down and 16 bit and on mobile platforms or as quick cash grabs made by people who actually loved the original games. The series peaked at FFVI and never came close again. Right now it's so far away from what made it stand out and be unique. I really hated FFXII on a ton of levels. If I wanted that MMO style battle system, I'd play one of the dozens of other offerings. The traditional jRPG still has a niche. I understand that a lot of what we got used to about it at the time was based on technical limitations that no longer exist, but either through familiarity or through actual merits to those features people look at a lot of them fondly still. I like something like Dragon Age as much as the next guy but I want something like FFIV or V or VI to be able to play as well.

I still think that for all the griping, the three hour Raws have a big part to do with this. At the same time, I don't think we've gotten the same sort of quality from the C shows we had in, let's say 2010-2011, but I can't say that for certain because I haven't seen every 3MB match from this year or waht not.

I viscerally hate the Jenkins run while admitting it has a certain quality.

WWE is scary good right now. We already know that over the next few weeks we're going to get: Daniel Bryan, Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. The Wyatt Family The Shield vs. CM Punk, Big E Langston and John Cena and the Bryan/Punk/Cena - Wyatt schmozz from the Troops show, plus whatever we get for Smackdown. A comp for this year, even if it just had tag and six man matches, would be a billion hours long.

One thing I'll say about Sayama is that when he hits his stuff, it's some of the prettiest Cirque De Soleil stuff there is. It's wrestling as ballet and for about two minutes at a time every four months or so, it's a joy to watch.

Now picture Vince backstage with Rene Goulet, Tony Garea, and Pat Patterson trying to figure out why Mandela turned down his offer to be the guest ring timekeeper for Hogan vs Slaughter at Wrestlemania VII.

I feel like we wouldn't have the sheer amount of high-end matches we've gotten this year without the 3 hour raw. It's pretty much the entire impetus for the extended tag team division and all the six-mans. I usually catch it on youtube a few days after and skip liberally. It's the only way to watch the show. Last night's Raw was a chore though because there were too many matches I wanted to see. That's the sort of problem I'm kind of glad to have.

What the heck was she going for there? Is the Burning Hammer a Bella Finisher I don't know about? Also, Cole wondering if Tamina shouldn't have been DQed was funny since no one's been dqed for interfering in a tag match like that in the WWE in the last 15 years. I think he wanted her DQed for kicking her in the face or something.

Well said. I frogot to say that. Ever since Battleground, where it turned out Tensai had a great announcing voice on the panel, I've been in favour of a Sweet T solo face push. Hopefully the fact that Clay as a self-professed "main event playa" is so ludicrous means Tensai will squash him in the coming weeks. I'm assuming they're building to Big E vs Brodus.

I want Henry/Big E/Taker vs Shield still but then I also want Hogan/Rey/Cesaro vs the Swagger/Ryback/Axel so I'm pretty sure I'm not getting what I want. I think we need to have a tag team battle royal for at title shot like in WM 14.

Boy was everyone pissed off when Xavier became ROH champ.

Of these two things, I think we can only get Jae to manage one.
