  1. I'm terrible at predictions, but I'll give it a go. Villa 1-1 Everton Arsenal 2-1 Leicester Brighton 0-1 Newcastle Man City 3-0 Bournemouth Southampton 2-2 Leeds Wolves 0-0 Fulham Brentford 2-1 Man Utd Forest 1-2 West Ham Chelsea 2-2 Spurs Liverpool 3-0 Palace The joke with the Beeb's version was that if Lawro's predictions were right, Liverpool would win every game of the season. Well, if my predictions are right, Forest finish the season on 0 points.
  2. Man, imagine that actual feud though. Yuta Vs Tully, Mox Vs Arn, Windham Vs Claudio, Flair Vs Danielson, Mox/Yuta Vs Tully/Arn, War Games, promos, Regal and Dillon shenanigans. Anyone else not want BCC to add any more members? I mean, maybe a female representative. But I feel they have the perfect dynamic and number right now, and adding anyone else, even though there are other wrestlers that fit the bill, would just be overkill and in danger of watering the concept down.
  3. The gall of Rollins in that tweet acting like he's some ignored talent. Dude's been pushed way beyond his level for the last seven or eight years.
  4. They should have Rush/Moxley end in a no contest with the two just beating the shit out of each other. This deserves to be more than just a one and done.
  5. If we're talking the booking decision that made me stop watching the product completely, I think I've said it here before but that was the Fiend/Rollins cell match. I was hanging on by a thread anyway by that point due to reasons both related to and unrelated to the in-ring product/booking, but after that I was just like, "why the fuck am I bothering with this shit?"
  6. The worst booking decision was probably the Summer of Punk for me. It's like they did the exact opposite of what people wanted them to do. I mean, bringing him back after a week, having him job to Triple H, feud with Kevin Nash and then spend his whole title reign playing second fiddle to John Cena actually sounds like a parody of bad WWE booking. But that's exactly what they did.
  7. I'd say 4, 15 or one of the recent death marches is the worst in history.
  8. Not so different from mine, Natch. For a long time I thought 9 was just the worst shit ever but watching it back, I think it's one of those things that actually becomes better when divorced from the time period. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's still the drizzling shits and still has an ending that makes me angry, but none of the matches are really outright bad (from memory), and it has a cool and memorable look at least. 4 is just soul-destroying and 1 is kind of the anti-9 in that at the time it probably was cool but watched in hindsight without the sense of being part of this 'moment in time', it's actually petty worthless. To reiterate though, WrestleMania 9 sucks. As an addendum, do you @The Natural(you might have been too young) or any of the other Brits ( @AxB, @SturmCRF, @Sky Blue Samet al) remember Bret going on, I think it would have been Live and Kicking shortly after WrestleMania 9 and basically calling out the WWF (in kayfabe) for allowing the end of WrestleMania 9 to go down the way it did? He was like, 'yeah, I told Hogan to go for the belt but I assumed the officials would look at the footage afterwards and realise the injustice that had been done and reverse the decision'.
  9. I'm amazed at this WrestleMania 5 naysaying. I think that was one of my favourites of the earlier Manias all told (partly because I think most of the early Manias are dross) but also because I think Savage/Hogan is largely excellent, Rude/Warrior and Rockers/Twin Towers are very good, and yes, Haku/Herc is a good match. If I had to rank the first 10 Manias, just off the top of my head, I think I'd go- 1. 10 2. 7 3. 3 4. 8 5. 5 6. 6 7. 2 8. 9 9. 1 10. 4 5, 6 and 8 I think are of roughly the same quality.
  10. The Best Friends trackies are personalised. That's adorbs. I wish Stat was still an alien though.
  11. I had a blast, thanks @The Natural Craziest match I've ever seen live. I always get so nervous when they climb up to the top of the cage, so I was having proper palpitations for a while there. Can we talk about what a freak Claudio is for wrestling forty minutes and then having the strength and mental focus to climb to the top of the cage and giant swing Jericho. We all know the guy's not real, but that's fucking insane.
  12. Can't see a scenario where they promise Claudio for the match and then don't deliver. I think Claudio picks up the win, which eats Eddie alive.
  13. As someone who doesn't really give a shit about modern NJPW, I thought this show was awesome, and better than the last two AEW ppvs. My favourite match was definitely Claudio and ZSJ, right up my alley that one, followed by the opener. But I had fun with just about everything. Did the women's title match seem weird to anyone else though? It kinda seemed like Rosa was booked to just eat Toni up, which I didn't really get. Oh, and as someone who's going to Blood and Guts on Wednesday, I'm absolutely over the moon at Claudio coming in. Can't wait.
  14. I really hope it's true. Since I refuse to give WWE my time, my money or my eyeballs, I've really missed watching her wrestle.
  15. To be fair, that was Rotunda's big high spot. It was that or slapping on an abdominal stretch and grabbing the top rope for leverage.
  16. Question for my UK bredrin. I'm going to be back in Blighty when this is on. What is the best way to order AEW shows?
  17. Glenn Jacobs, one of the smartest guys in the biz... Here's my Englishman living in America story. I happened to mention to my dad that I really loved Jaffa cakes, and ever since then I would periodically get sent care packages packed with packets of Jaffa cakes. Only they were off-brand Jaffas, from Aldi I believe (when you know your dad is working class). Not a big deal anyway- not as good as the originals but still not bad. Anyway, my sister somehow found out that he was sending me these cheap Jaffas and scolded him about it, and me and her kind of had a laugh about it. Next care package I got there was one packet of original Jaffas in amongst the knock-offs. Old habits and all that.
  18. Such a cruel way for relegation to finally be confirmed (conceding late on in a game we didn't deserve to lose, with Reading equalising in stoppage time in their game), but massively proud of the Rams this season, more so than for many a-year. With everything we've faced, we should have been down months ago. To a man, this team and everyone involved with it can hold their heads up high.
  19. No, not at all. At my wedding the DJ played our song and my wife and I just got up and danced. Or shuffled awkwardly, depending on how you look at it. Do people generally practice these things? I think it was obvious what I'm really talking about though. I guess 'gimmicky' wedding dances would be a better way to put it.
  20. Choreographed wedding dances are the worst. Just the absolute worst.
  21. I had a dream last night that I went to a dinner party at Cody and Brandi Rhodes' house (boy, I'm spending too much time on this board), and their new side hustle was selling board games. They had a big old stack of games in their living room that they were sorting through to see which ones they could sell. They tried to get me to buy one but I said "no, no, it's only snakes and ladders". Okay, I made that last bit up, but the rest is true.
  22. Queen Sharmell was a huge part of one of the best gimmicks in WWE history though, so it's all good. And don't try to correct me. I know what I said.
