  1. I enjoy watching Charlotte but she's never been safe or smooth in the ring. With her being the pushed at the forefront of "Women's Evolution" she was able to get away with being unrefined. She's safe in Comparison to Nia Jaxx. Some of her being rough around the edges is apart of her appeal to me in a weird way
  2. If Raw moves away from Mondays, do you think another credible network would want to have a wrestling program on their channel on Mondays just to fill that traditional void? Vice was ready to have MLW and CW almost had NWA, not on Mondays but they were willing to give these smaller brands a chance. AEW because of them not wanting to go up against the NFL have absolutely ruled out Mondays atleast on a regular basis. I think if another channel decide to pick up Wrestling on Mondays would probably do very well because it's not likely that audience would be big on watching Monday Night Football anyway. It would probably be an audience that isn't big sports fans to begin with. I'd like to see a channel atleast bigger than AXIS or whatever HDnet is get in the market for Wrestling on Mondays if Raw goes somewhere else on a different day
  3. If Eddie Guerrero didn't get hurt after he formed the LWO do you think it would have worked? Even as a kid who wasn't smart yet, I remember thinking to myself how it going to work with most of the Luchadores in one group? It was really entertaining the segment Eddie was in with them showing the personality he got to show after he left WCW. We would have got to see than side much sooner and would have had no choice to feature him strongly until Nash or someone like that volunteered kill them off. I wonder if the LWO would have stayed working with other cruiserweights or would they be working with people outside of the division that's already over at the time
  4. Wrestling fans don't consider there is still a number of fans that aren't on the internet and have yet to stumble across any of the shows. As for WCW, they had a terrible corporate structure through there entire history. Even when they were doing record business. Add the fact that Turner wanted them to fail. WWF/E even at their lowest times were at their corporate structure. Unlike WCW if Turner decides to put AEW off the networks then I'm sure they'd get picked up by someone else eventually and most definitely Tony Khan won't allow Turner to sell them to someone else without it being beneficial to the company overall like a TKO type deal
  5. Right, 2 years ago then they probably could have used him but even then it was a different corporate structure. I'd be naive to believe that they shouldn't have their guards up but I think Punk had a vested interest in making AEW a true Competitor. I don't think he'll care that much for WWE to make it better outside of just Wrestlers he himself takes interest in. It's not like he didn't have any friends in WWE most of which are in pretty good spots like New Day and some other people. I don't see him taking things to serious like in AEW to where he even gets upset to the level he did there
  6. I finished the show an it was a short PLE considering its a big 4, I expect to go at least 3 hours . They seemed to like Stark from the jump based on putting her with Trish in the beginning of her run on the main roster it's no surprise she got a title shot on PPV already but nobody believed she had a chance. She's got a nice moveset but it's almost a Babyface moveset with the Flashy moves she does. Against Rhea you forget She's a power wrestler. The men's War Games was ok. McDonough is the new Dolph in terms of bumping. I liked Jey using the chair from the audience instead of under the ring like everyone else. I didn't know they used the Bloodline (Solo) costing the title Drew at CaTC as a basis of his heel turn as well as Jey and his brother being reason Orton was out. I also loved Orton allowing Cody to take the pin. It's amazing that Jey and Cody are both insanely over without the company having to force it. Orton was insanely over too and I know it's not just because he's returned. I believe Hunter when he said Punk coming back wasn't something that was a done deal till recently because he just showed up at the end which was perfect and it gives a reason for us to tune in to Raw or Smackdown to see if the have him do something then. It's sort of a weird time to see what they do with him around Rumble season because I don't see him winning the Rumble and I don't think he should even be in the Rumble unless he went all the way. They should just book him like he was in AEW and just let him have dream matches with guys he just wants to face on some of the PLEs and weekly TVs he appears on. Have him face Rollins at Rumble or someone. I think he'll last longer in WWE than his entire AEW run because he won't be burned out by the schedule and unless he is coming in with the intention of being the top guy, I doubt he be much of a problem politically. I'm sure he has guys and girls he has interest in helping.
  7. Had a family get together at my sister's house and completely forgot about Survivor Series until I saw posts about some things on social media afterwards. I've watched all the way to the Dragon Lee vs Escobar. Lee was a better fit to face Escobar than Carlito was workrate wise even though the story was built for him to face Carlito had he not got hurt. Gunther is just something special man. It's still beyond me that Vince didn't see anything in him and honestly even if he didn't I doubt he would have this type of long run of dominance he's having. That match vs Miz was fun. It had me atleast once thinking he was going to beat Gunther which was cool in the moment. After the Hangman vs Swerve last week I think it reminded us all that WWEs Gimmick matches are a different type of violence compared to AEW. The WWE modern style of Gimmick matches are built around artistically creative looking spots and not mean to be violent offense. Everything looked cool the women did out there and I'm sure alot of those spots most of them got banged up or hurt to some degree. The War Games match was cool for what it was but he all know never to expect a JCP style War Games or any type of cage match from Titan Sports in this modern era. I'm up now so I think I'll watch the rest of the show now
  8. Between the Sheets is my favorite podcast but unfortunately for me my new job won't allow me just run through hours of the show while I work. When I'd get weeks a weeks behind I'd just Bing episodes through the week till I'm all caught up. I'm like a month behind and I don't know how long its going to take to get to run through 4 or 5 episodes
  9. I've said it before, WWE needs to move away from the mindset of teams and factions having to split up in order for the one emerging start to get a push. The New Day have made it known they never want to split
  10. I really enjoyed Sami vs JD McDonough and the Opener of Seth vs Drew. I thought Rey should've gotten more offense in the early parts of the match. If was hard to buy into Logan just getting the better of the 30 year vet almost the entire match. I understand they really wanted to put over the size difference but Rey should have shown how much more experienced he was by out wrestling him early in the match especially considering how much Paul was going to dominate. The Bloodline interference in Roman's matches are so convoluted but I like how the agents and refs stopped Solo in the main event. I will say that the interference by Jimmy was a way to keep LA Knight strong in defeat since Roman needed help. Its just that its the same formula for all of Roman's title defenses with the Usos involvement and the melodramatic selling, like Roman will never have a nomal match without these tropes .Solo got put over huge between that and Cena. The jury is still in about Solo not being good at all but tonight he held up but it's Cena he was against here and he went out his way to get Solo over. I even enjoyed the 5 way. Mostly everything was solid on the show.
  11. Miz last babyface run was surprisingly some of his best work character wise and inring wise. I can't believe how drawn in to him I was as a Babyface and it was over the IC Title but I don't think under Hunters creative control that he would be the one to take it off Gunther. It really shouldn't be something that's pretty much a lifer and already has as much stock and credibility that it wouldn't mean much for Miz to dethrone Gunther. It should be someone like Gable or Reed or someone like that who would be a made man and would also continue to have good matches against Gunther after the switch.
  12. As much as I think it was completely unnecessary, I see the logic behind Rey Mysterio unmasking in WCW. We know deep down it was just to rub the Lucha guys specifically Konnan and Eddie the wrong way. I really don't understand why Bischoff decided to also unmask Psychosis and Juventud. I guess juventud got more of a push in WCW and he a face that you can argue could've been put over more to get him over with the female audience. Psychosis I thought had the most unique look before he was unmasked. He made out the worst after losing he masked and they turned him back heel a year later. If WCW marketed the Luchadores masks then I think Bischoff wouldn't have having been insistent in any of them unmasking and perhaps some of the lesser pushed guys probably would've had to be given more attention based on mask sales. Psychosis really never recovered, atleast in the American scene. Juventud continued to be booked outside of Mexico he just became his own worst enemy.
  13. I hope they pick up more talent in the UK in that scene. I could see them going back more often. TNA and AEW should pick up more young talent there before the WWE UK project and alot of talent become stuck in purgatory for years
  14. I think theyll pick him up this time around. They passed on Brian Cage and Wardlow to but you don't think that theyll pick up either of them especially Wardlow if he was available tomorrow?
  15. If TNA was on a better network than Axs that would be the only way I see Punk coming to TNA. He doesn't need the money but I doubt they could afford him even though he'd probably fit in vest with that roster and it would be interesting how much the viewership would grow if he came in Plus being as though Ace Steel works there I'm sure he'd be showing up backstage alot.
  16. I finally watched the Cody Rhodes documentary. It is one of the best documentaries they've done on the Network. It also makes Cody not winning the title look like the wrong decision even more in hindsight. WWE have always been great at spinning the narrative in their favor but it's really no way around it. Thankfully Cody is still just as over as he was when he walked in to Wrestlemania vs Roman. I believe even in losing next week LA Knight will still be as over going in to his match with Roman as he will when it's over. I enjoy Roman as a heel and I'm enjoying his title run in general but I do believe alot of what the Bloodline has been doing since Mania didn't need for him to be champ. Even outside of Cody finishing the story, he is legitimately a draw and a reason the houses are trending up now. They don't need the main champion to be a draw at all anymore obviously. Roman is working Crown Jewel and not SS just a few weeks later as an example that they can afford to have Roman off of one of the big 4 PLEs and still draw the same house. I know it's completely possible that Roman will still be Champ past Mania which more likely would be the thing to hurt Cody if he does get a rematch and lose again.
  17. Before the new World Heavyweight title the IC belt was built as the second behind the Universal title which is barely defended. I think making that title seem important is great for Raw. Most the time he defends the title its the hook to tune in for the next Raw of when ever he's booked to put it on the line. I don't know it anyone on this board can name all the belts in WWE of the top of their head so I don't see why some of them shouldn't be prestigious. The titles seem more important to the wrestlers than the people booking the show. The lack of emphasis on the women's tag titles played a role in Sasha and Naomi leaving. It's not just a prop to some of these guys for some maybe sentimental reasons in the case of these older title and others just a sense of pride wanting to bring value to some of these titles. Seth Rollins knows deep down his title will never mean as much as Roman's but I get the sense that he really wants to build that title up to be the title to fight for and to be the main focus even if the machine isn't behind him the same way as they are behind Roman
  18. There's still enough of a difference between a HHH run product and a Vince run product to most people. Alot of people forget the time-line of the Bloodline angle and give HHH the credit for it even though it started long before Vinces stuff hit the fan. It's a clear difference in who Vince sees something in and HHH sees something in based on who they hire, give TV time to and release. If Vince never left we probably wouldn't have this Classic IC title run from Walter right now. I get that there's still Vinces fingerprints in Hunters booking. Sure some of that may be because that's who he's learned from but I'm sure alot of that is by design to for Vince to feel like he has some involvement. Unless you just completely anti WWE as far as what you like in wrestling, you wouldn't feel like this is a Vince run show. Until Kevin Dunn is gone, the presentation is going to be what it aways has been. It's a big enough change when Hunter is in charge based on who he hires and gives time to and not micromanaging every aspect of everyone's TV time. If Hunter believed that he'd be the longterm head of Creative then he probably would have gotten rid of Dunn if he really isn't a fan of his like everyone theorizes
  19. The reason it's so cringe is because you know in reality isn't that type of guy to bury talent and we all know he is licking his chops to have a match with Starks. I think he's ultimately going to put him over strong when it's time. I think it was more meant for him not to be outdone by someone who has a reputation in that company to be one of the best promos in that promotion
  20. Reyes too? I didn't know that. I only remember Rocky.
  21. I like the doing the "who's going to win the managerial services of" version of what brand is Jade going to be on. Having her show up on all three shows or in the case on Raw, tweeting as if she's considering just appearing on the show makes her seem like so much more of a big deal. Looms like she'll be on Smackdown though.
  22. I watched Rene Dupree's Cafe de Rene podcast stream last night. I enjoyed Rene and Jason Sensation make fun of Tony Khan. Considering how much I'm annoyed by people on Twitter making fun and criticizing him for his tweets over the last few days. I actually don't have an issue with any of his tweets. Even though most of us can a agree that Vince or even Hunter or Shawn would even sell that they where phased by the competition. I think most of us aren't used to figures so high up in food chain be so outwardly Vulnerable to the public. Even today, it's really not the business to show vulnerability if your the head of a major wrestling company because the fans will drag you. I don't have a problem with him calling out WWE for contract tampering. Tweeting about it isn't going to help his case and calling them out on it isn't making people feel sorry for him, even AEW diehards. Alot of people are talking about AEW needing to change their marketing strategy. I don't think there's anything wrong with he being the Carnival barker for his company on social media. I actually liked him hyping up everyone for Dynamite. It didn't look so well when he fell flat on his face in the ratings but I like that he was confident in what he was presenting and stayed true to what AEW was while WWE pulled out all the stops as far as star power, even those that have never been associated with NXT. I watch alot more WWE than AEW so I'm not even being an AEW sympathizer. Even AEW diehards were laughing at his response about feeling threatened for his safety with the CM Punk incident. He's a guy born into billions. How could you possibly expect him to even be in many physical confrontations in his life. Maybe he seen incidents between football players or soccer players and maybe wrestlers but how many he's actually be an upclose witness to the point where he was in danger.
  23. I was hoping Swerve went over on Bryan but the way he lost builds his match with Hangman plus it probably wouldn't be good to have to top heels facing off for the title. It's still surreal that Christian is having this run this late and he is at the same level or a bigger star than Edge as a singles while they are both in the same promotion. I think those injuries were a double edge sword. On one hand it took years off their careers but at the same time seeing as though they were able to wrestle again. Those injuries took years off their bump card.
  24. Both Edge and Christian are established names. Whatever they're building to, they have to do in a way that features homegrown talent. If WWE isn't done with these mass releases we'll be seeing more very identifiable establed WWE names come in. Just with WWEs attendance and other business metrics going up, usually the wrestling business trends up overall. I think overall AEWs product is as good as ever in my opinion. They have had alot of set backs in the past year that I think people are hesitant about settling into it.
  25. They treat her like Chyna except she has competitive matches with the Women. They could've done that with people like Beth Phoenix and Jazz. They almost ruined her before they formed Judgement day.
