  1. I just got a chance to watch the Dusty tribute on the Network. I'm not normally a tearful dude, but God damn, someone must have just let all the pollen in the world into my room there at the end. Awesome tribute, and an amazing career. Cool to see just how many people he touched. And Triple H breaking down like that, holy shit. Truly a touching moment
  2. Of all the great lines Dusty had "the Four Horsemen, they need to ride on another planet ‘cause I reserved the stratosphere for me and you” is by far my favorite. Hard Times and Partnah are great but this is the Dusty promo I love most. I couldn't agree more. Whenever I think of Dusty's greatest promo, this is the one I think of. It's easily one of my favorite promos of all time, from anyone
  3. Dusty is one of the guys that made me want to be a professional wrestler. One of, if not the, best talker the business has ever seen. His ability to connect with a crowd will never be recreated. I cannot stop thinking about the promo where he talks about reserving the stratosphere, as well as so many other lines he put down during his career. Legit crushed about this. I just hope he's getting a chance to wine and dine with all those kings and queens one more time. RIP Dream
  4. Alright, I'm just gonna say this, and I know I'm probably in the minority-it should have been Orton. They were in St. Louis, he needs to cement his face turn on The Authority, and the crowd was chanting for him. I understand Sting got a huge reaction, and I'm not trying to take away from Sting, I love him. But the pop for Orton would have been massive. All in all, the fact that I'm bitching about how something could have been better as opposed to how much something sucked says a lot about the show they had last night, though.
  5. I think i might be dumping this game. I like it well enough during co-op, but my brother, who's the main person i pay co-op with, seems to have no life, as he instantly jumped levels ahead of me. Now, it's really boring running around as a titan when there's a super leveled hunter killing everything in front of you
  6. I finally got my Titan to level 15 last night. I would be seriously interested in running some co op with anyone on the PS3 in the clan. Add me- B34stB0y691
  7. Just in case anyone was wondering, I'm Beastboy691[PSN won't let me change my username, and I was like, 15, at the time I made it-__-]. I'm also DMN's brother he was talking about. I really prefer co-op, but pvp can be fun if you're on with friends.
  8. So I've been to Powells and ground Kontrol, and had so much freaking fun! Thanks so much for the tips, guys. It's been an awesome trip already, and we have another day to mess around
  9. Thanks so much for all the info, guys. The girlfriend and I just landed and are currently trying to find our way out of the airport. Now to look for cheap motels! We're only here for a few days, and we're just gonna sleep in the room, so no reason to pay a ton for a nice room
  10. So my girlfriend and I are sitting in the terminal of LAX, waiting to board our flight for Portland when I realized that I never made a post on here to see if anyone is from that area. If there is anyone from Portland on here, any good places to visit during our trip? Also is anyone in the area that might be willing to meet up and grab a few drinks to talk about wrestling?
  11. so I'm watching some NXT from last year, trying to get caught up. I just got to a few shows after the Cesaro/Zayn 2 out of 3 falls match, which is where I restarted[i'd been about a year behind that at first, because internet is a pain], and holy crap is that match good. I know it's generally been touted all over the internet, but I don't feel like it can be said enough. Holy shit that match is good. Other random thoughts include the fact that Bo Dallas, most insincere face of all time, might be my favorite gimmick going. His promo about why he came out for Sami's match against Swagger is awesome. Also, CJ Parker is pretty good too, especially when he's running up against Tyler Breeze, who plays self centered really really well. Overall, I'm really glad NXT is the show I get to watch with any consistency. Internet and TV are off at my place, so whenever I'm somewhere with a stable internet connection, I'm watching NXT. I have more to say, but I have to go back to work
  12. I absolutely love pretty much any well done tag team moves. If it looks like the team is working like a team as opposed to working like two guys who share a tag rope, I'm into it. Maybe it's because whenever I've talked about wrestling after I finish training, it's been as a tag team with my brother, but I have some pretty strong opinions about tag team wrestling
  13. Holy crap I've never seen that second one to Rey. That is freaking awesome. I have to ditto the hate of the rope hung leg drop spot. I get the psychology of the move, since it's supposed to hurt more, but actually getting into position for it is terrible. I've always thought it'd be cool for someone to clearly set up for it, only for the other person to slide between the ropes at the last second. The person doing the leg drop could either miss, or if they're supposed to be a great high flyer, I always thought it'd be awesome for them to transition into a dropkick. Not enough people adapt on the fly in pro wrestling. They either hit the move they were planning on hitting or they miss. As for other spots, I have an abnormal level of hatred for the slingshot into the corner spot. It doesn't even physically make sense. And in a similar vein, I probably like flapjacks more than I should. I love the visual of a guy just throwing a dude in the air and just letting him fall
  14. What are some spots or moves that you guys dislike, but there's one example that you think looks amazing? Example: as a general rule, I dislike the Flatliner, but Bray Wyatt's version looks awesome. I think it's because too often, it doesn't look impactful, or when it does, it's not match ending. I've seen versions just like his that look like they should lay a guy out, but the guy gets back up, or it's used as a transition move. I dislike that, but the few times I've seen Bray use it (full disclosure, I don't have tv or Internet at my house, so I only watch wrestling when I'm somewhere with wifi I can use), it looks deadly. Are there other moves like that out there that you feel that way about? And not necessarily a specific wrestler doing them, it could just be a specific way of applying the hold or performing the move that you don't feel is done enough
  15. Watching all these gifs load is actually really awesome to watch, because you get to see everything frame by frame. I've seen that shot of Orton RKOing RVD about a million times, but it's totally trippy to realize that Van Dam doesn't take his foot off the ground til the last second and that he actually lands on his own head instead of taking a 'normal' spike bump. Also it's kinda funny to realize that Orton probably had no idea that was coming, because at the end, he doesn't even have a hand on RVD's head
