  1. It's funny, I don't think either team going for it on 4th in that sequence was a bad move and I don't have a problem with either team's play call, either. Just didn't work. One of many reasons why I really CAN'T be a Head Coach In The NFL
  2. Looks like you just got them. And just in time, too, as Whitten limps off the field...
  3. That's why they have kickers in the NFL, Chip.
  4. Murray with the best headbutt spot since Bobo Brazil died. OMG.
  5. The Cowboys' Permanent Heel status is at least rooted in the championships they used to win. The Eagles just can't compete with that sort of thing.
  6. Well they rule the Breadbasket of the Empire so it's an agriculture/food production power base, which suits a team based in The Dairy State and named after meat processing. I suppose.
  7. On the other hand, Red And Gold are the Lannister colors and Jim Harbaugh is possibly the most unlikeable asshole this side of Walder Frey, so this Aaron Rodgers King In The North thing may have legs on the other side of the equation, after all.
  8. It will be in Lambeau though. 2012 Opener was the first time in I can't even remember how long the 49ers played well up there. Guess I have to hope Rodgers really is as hurt as a Broken Collarbone normally suggests.
  9. Chase Daniel goes four yards over the line of scrimmage and still shot hops the 4th and 15 throw. Somehow I don't think he'll be getting the Matt Cassel/Matt Flynn treatment.
  10. Phil Dawson is the opposite of Ryan Succop EDIT: "12 new posts, view here" Uh oh, what did I miss...
  11. Technically the Chargers only need a tie to make the playoffs. Just, you know, in case it comes to that.
  12. Jim Harbaugh heard about what Rex Ryan did and had to one-up him. 20 yard pass to tackle Joe Staley, who ran a better route than I've seen some WRs take. Unfortunately he didn't come close to scoring so it's nowhere near being the Best Play of the late games, apparently.
  13. Collarbone's always been a season-ending injury for a QB before. My gut feeling is he shouldn't be out there and anyone who says Rodgers is okay is lying. If he plays as poorly as RGIII on a bad knee I won't be surprised.
  14. Beat me to it. And yet somehow Atlanta outdid even our expectations. illegal shift penalty + ten second runoff AND they lost 20+ yards on the play on a bad snap out of the shotgun. Amazing.
  15. Like, remember when Metallica and LOU REED did an album together? Bizarre, unexpected, terrible, but a testament to how amazing the universe is that it can, and does, exist. That's the Dalton/Flacco interception duel.
  16. Jim Harbaugh gon' get jealous
  17. Dalton and Flacco are like a band working on a bizarre concept album too weird and bizarre to be successful, or good, but amazing in its own way.
  18. I've seen guys play well enough to keep their team in a game they shouldn't be winning. I've seen guys play poorly enough to keep the other team in it when they should be losing. I don't recall ever seeing one QB do BOTH at the same time. It's like playing street ball with your friends when there's an odd number of you and one guy gets designated "Permanent QB" and literally plays for both sides.
  19. Double-Covering the rest of his family, clearly.
  20. I imagine Redzone -- much like NFL Network's Thursday Night Game -- is obligated to showcase all 32 teams in the league to a certain minimum degree (one Thursday Game for everybody), and they are probably just behind on their Jaquar Footage Quota and must make up the difference in this the last week of the season or be in breach of contract.
  21. Were you talking Yards? Cuz Dalton's got single season passing TDs on Palmer now too.
  22. It's like having to hold onto the Tag Rope when tagging in; it only matters when they need it to matter. The NFL Rulebook is full of things like these.
  23. Oh come on now, somebody will get called for Holding in the End Zone in Overtime and cause their team to lose 2-0.
  24. Really the 2 wins is more surprising than the 11 losses. I feel like I've seen most of those games [They did absolutely wax Philadelphia like 38-6 once though]. This is, what, the 4th year in a row they've been flexed into the Week 17 Sunday Night game because they're playing for the NFC East/#4 Seed or nothing?
  25. I want Orton to throw 6TDs and have some knucklehead of a GM to give him Matt Flynn Money for it next season.
