  1. There is an abundance of Sid rumors out there. I was surprised at just how many urban legends and "sleaze" rumors centered around him. Him being the master and ruler of the world and all, I hope he can forgive us if he ever listens to our podcast. ... Or at least takes out all of his anger solely on my three co-hosts. Thanks for listening!
  2. This weeks non-commentary topic was Wrestling Urban Legends. Urban legends about Sid ended up becoming the popular choice amongst a few of us, but our co-host Justin had some urban legends that none of us had ever heard before, and we don't believe anyone else has ever heard them either. It's all alleged, so who knows!? This is hands-down our favorite episode so far, and I legitimately almost wrecked my truck the other day while driving because I was laughing so hard when I was listening to it. Check it out and stick around to the very end (even after Chris says the show is over) for a special rendition of an Ultimate Warrior promo. http://www.figurefourcast.com/episodes/2014/10/29/urban-legend Enjoy it!
  3. Not sure where to post this really. I checked around for a more specific/appropriate thread/sub-forum, but couldn't find one. Anyway. I'm looking for a few tapes and/or DVDs, and I figured this community would be the best place to ask. I'm looking for the WCW All Nighter shows from I believe 94 and 95 that aired on TBS. I think there are only two, but I could be wrong. I am also curious to see if anyone could point me in the direction of a good Arn Anderson compilation. Any & all help is appreciated.
  4. There are so many times when I'm watching one of the docs the WWE puts out, and I start looking forward to what Heenan's going to say, but then the awful reallity hits me and I get bummed out. Even with the revisionism and bullshit being put out there during these Monday Night Wars episodes, I would love to hear what The Brain could say about it at all.
  5. Re: Dean Malenko. On commentary, Heenan seemed to be a huge fan of Malenko's. It sounds like he is legitimately engaged by Malenko's matches, and not just being one of the best in the business at making something/someone sound important. Also, during the buildup to the WW3 PPV, every time the announcers discuss it, Heenan consistently states that Malenko is his choice to win it. Was Heenan just a big fan of Malenko's work, did he have some sort of history with him, both? And you guys have really changed how I felt about the Monday Night Wars. I've enjoyed it so far, but haven't watched any episode with 100% of my attention, as I am usually doing ten other things while it's being played as background noise. When the new episode comes out, I am definitely giving it my undivided attention so I can look/listen for these inaccuracies and/or revisionist takes on what happened.
  6. The Rick Rude Honeymoon story was crazy. The more i here about him outside the ring the more Im convinced he was the man. & he could sell the hell out of an Atomic drop or Inverted atomic drop. Now I need to go find a match between Bret & Rude so I can watch Rude sell Hart's atomic drop! And yeah, we're going to start trying to include more stories like that. We were a little unsure at first if we wanted to share stories that have been told to us over the years. I worked shows for around 14 years and Chris worked for 3 or 4 years, and has done commentary for shows off & on for years, plus his uncle has been a promoter for a long time, so we have a pretty good collection of stories built up. I think as long as we're not incriminating anyone or breaking anyone's trust, we'll continue to try and add some of these stories to our shows. Thanks for listening!
  7. On our newest episode, we decided the 100% Official, Non-Negotiable, Master and Ruler of the Universe-esque list of the Top 4 Most Underrated Wrestlers of All Time. You won't agree with us. Hell, I don't agree with us! It was an interesting and fun conversation to have, and a good way to kill some time. Check it out on our new and improved website: http://www.figurefourcast.com/ We're also on iTunes and Stitcher radio.
  8. Great show, Please do more topics like this. Thanks! We are going to go back-and-forth between commentary episodes (where we watch a show on the Network and discuss it as it happens), and episodes like this one where we're just talking about a random topic. This Saturday we'll be posting an episode where we come up with a list of the top 4 most underrated wrestlers. It was pretty fun to record and our top 4 will unlikely be what anyone will agree with or expect. Glad you enjoyed! Hope you'll stick around and keep listening.
  9. BFG 14 was an okay show thus far- but now the Velvet match is up next and I have zero interest in that and the main event, I'll give your show a listen as I've been a long supporter of the riff trax/wrestling connection. If/When TNA goes belly-up and WWE decides to purchase its library- the only accurate way to show TNA to future fans is through riff trax. Nothing else will do. Edit: website looks slick. I've been saying that I hope Vince buys TNA sooner rather than later, so we have a ton of new material to choose from. Thanks for giving us a listen.
  10. I left the tapings in Wheeling feeling the same way. Styles and Sydal was exactly what I thought it would be, but Cole and Alexander really blew me away. I had not watched ROH in years, but went to the Wheeling tapings with my friends for a bachelor party. I was vaguely familiar with both Cole and Alexander, but I definitely did not expect the excellent match the two men put on. Definitely recommended viewing. Any idea what night it will be on?
  11. You can follow us on Twitter and Instagram - @FigureFourcast Or check out our brand new (and still in its very early stages) website: http://www.figurefourcast.com/
  12. Episode Zero: We watch WCW's Clash of the Champions X and "discuss it like adults". -- http://directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/3083439 You can follow us on Twitter: http://twitter.com/FigureFourcast Our Instagram SN is FigureFourCast If you use Stitcher Radio to listen to podcasts like I do, we're on there, too! - http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/figurefourcast/figure-fourcast?refid=stpr Oh, and we're on iTunes. Enjoy (hopefully)!
  13. Is it okay to promote one's own podcast on here? Myself and three of my friends have recently started a podcast called the Figure Fourcast. Some of our shows work as a MST3K or Riff Trax concept because we watch a show on the WWE Network and discuss/commentate it. Our first episode (Episode Zero) covered WCW Clash of the Champions X. The other style we do is take a wrestling topic and discuss it. Episode 1, which will be available this Saturday at 6:05 EST is entitled "Why DId WCW Win The Ratings War For So Long?" If it is alright to self-promote with links and such, I will do so, but I didn't want to step on any forum rules. Thanks
  14. I don't know if this is the appropriate place to post this or not, and if it isn't, I apoligize. A friend and I have been feeling nostalgic lately and discussing some CZW music videos that were created back in CZW's heyday. They were always posted on czwwrestling.de, I believe. Some of the videos included Jay vs Mark Briscoe, Justice Pain vs Jay Briscoe, Justice Pain vs Nick Gage, Jody Fleisch vs Sonjay Dutt, Ruckus vs Trent Acid, etc. There were quite a few of them, but I cannot find them anywhere online now. Just thought I'd post here in the slim chances of someone having the videos or knowing where to locate them. Thanks for any help.
