  1. Just an observation... why are the Broncos the only one that had their shit together this coaching cycle? Interviewed 10 candidates in 7 days, narrowed it down to three and got their first choice. Every other team seemed like they were flopping around like a fish out of water.
  2. Apparently Bieniemy is an awful interview... and to top it off, if you're from Colorado you know that a background check will be problematic for him. I don't know why other teams haven't interviewed him. I know the Broncos were very deliberate in their search. I don't see other teams interviewing 10 candidates.
  3. Thank goodness. He really regressed this year and never took responsibility. I want the Broncos to retain Mike Munchak and Bill Kollar and hire the rest from scratch.
  4. I think you're in a tricky spot with Shawn... it's like if the Broncos fired Elway, it might be needed but it's gonna feel wrong somehow.
  5. Yeah... pretty bad for PR and locker room morale especially since they're strapping the rocket pack to Jade Cargill who has improved but still isn't necessarily Meiko Saturama in the ring.
  6. Mike Nesmith is one of the most under appreciated people in modern music history. He was writing country rock before Graham Parsons broke in with the Byrds. Sweet Young Thing, Papa Gene's Blues, What Am I Doing Hanging Around, You Just May Be the One, and While I Cry are all seminal country rock songs. RIP Papa Nez.
  7. Honestly, Gargano seems like a slam dunk. He became too repetitive, but his work with The Way showed versatility and he has the indie street credibility that AEW fans love. He'll also never be the focus of the promotion so he won't be overexposed like he was.
  8. Well that's what happened to Test and Umaga and we should hope for a different outcome.
  9. This has always been my least favorite thing about the WON HOF. 35 is just too young. It should mirror the Rock Hall in where you are first eligible 25 years after you debut. Some wrestlers don't find their sweet spot until they're in their forties. Wrestlers aren't dying young at a rapid pace anymore. Brodie Lee was the first working for a national company in a long time so moving eligibility back makes sense.
  10. I don't know if people listen to the WrestleRoasts pod cast but they just did an insanely funny episode roast of Abby.
  11. This gives me the giggles. Vance Joseph was so bad as a head coach that the Cardinals won't even let him be in charge of one game.
  12. You don't break up with one crazy ex to hop into another relationship with someone who is crazy. The fact of the matter is that is that only two coaches have been a success in the NFL without some experience in the league. Jimmy Johnson and Don Coryell are it. Matt Rhule was an assistant coach with the Giants and Kliff Kingsbury was a player. It's a totally different world. Dabo would crash and burn as well.
  13. Is the CFL presence big enough to keep NFL teams from moving there? I'd imagine that Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal are big enough to support an NFL franchise.
  14. Last time I checked Nashville had a team... but the cities that teams can threaten to move to is very, very short.
  15. I see her more as a "it's fine" kind of person.
  16. My favorite Hogan lie is the slamming Andre and Andre dying 6 days later. You're being filmed for MTV Cribs. It's going to be there forever.
  17. He was probably telling Marko Stunt that he thought he was great on Stranger Things...
  18. RIP to the best backbeat drummer of all time. Also famous story where a drunken Mick Jagger phoned down to Watts hotel room and demanded that "his" drummer get to his room now. Watts showered, shaved and got dressed in an impeccable suit. Went and knocked on the door... Jagger answered and Watts knocked him the fuck out. Watts then said "I'm not your drummer, you're my singer." He then walked away.
  19. I thought what Richards said was bad. Really ugly. But my WTF was that you bring in an amazing level of talent to try out, some better some worse and in the end the judge just goes "kidding" it was going to be mine regardless of what happened. Hope to heck it's someone interesting next time.
  20. The HoF speeches were ridiculously short this year. Even Peyton only had 6 minutes.
  21. Part of what happened was releasing people or embettering talent to where they were motivated beyond what they were. Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Mick Foley, Jim Cornette, Chris Jericho, X-Pac, The Radicals... this was part of why the main event scene was so good which was part of the tide turning. It's not the main reason, but sending pissed off talent into the world is part of what happened.
  22. The WWE is forgetting how they won the Monday night war. They received talent from WCW that were pissed off and were motivated to stick it to them. WWE is sending people into the wild with something to prove. Not saying that AEW will overtake the WWE, but they're releasing talent and filling them with terrible resolve.
  23. It's so funny to me that two of the major wrestling projects in Hollywood are going to be complete whitewashing vanity projects. I'm sure that Bischoff is going to be completely up front about Hogan's drug use, racism and politics behind the scenes. I bet that there a scene where Hogan auditons for Metallica and they say he's way better than them. And now Vince is going to in charge of this? Carnies gotta carny.
  24. Everything he did was so believable and done with such energy. One of my low key favorite matches was him and Steve Williams in Abrams UWF. He and Sting are two examples of not being wrestling fans doesn't mean you can't excel at it. RIP Mr. Orndorff.
