@JT she did tweet last week "I'm NeXT" so i think she's hinting at going to WWE. Her with Jade I think could be money but if she wants to go to WWE then so be it. I guess we will never see a stable in AEW of Salina de la Renta, Jade Cargill, LA Park and El Hijo de LA Park.

Forgot this was on remembered when I was home during my lunch hour and recored it in process I only missed the first 3 minutes of Bononi-Allin match and I didn't miss much match was all about the post match angle. Which is cool it built more towards the Darby/Sing vs Scorpio/Page match at the PPV. Also it furthers their slow build between Darby and possibly Sting joining the Dark Order. The run out to save Darby all the time he seems to have gained their respect by accepting challenges from the Dark Order while he was TNT Champion. Although this all brings up the question how will this all affect Hangman Page and his affiliation with the Dark Order cuz there can only be one leader and if Darby or Page are in the group he's gonna be the leader.
The weigh-in was awesome, Cody can put ion a presentation. His sister was out there for crying out loud. When does Teal get involved in angles? Ogogo looked like a star, he has to beat Cody at the PPV. The Cody-QT feud is exactly how it should be they are building up a new star with all this. I hope they don't dropped the ball come PPV time.
Hangman vs Jonela was cool. Jonela reminds me of one of the lower card WCW guys where you know he isn't gonna win you know you are in store for something. Page looked like an absolute beast pinning Jonela with his face covered in blood. He's another guy that needs to come out of the PPV with a victory. Im pumed for Hangman vs Brian Cage.
Kingston and Moxley can cut killer promos that Tag Match is gonna be a fight. There's hell to pay come as for whose winning I really want to see Kingston and Moxley as Champs, my buddy brought up a good point however that the Bucks are a little too fresh in the heel turn to lose the belts. But there's gotta be some sort of blow off in this feud. I don't know whats gonna happen.
Pac's promo was exactly what it should have been, he should be pissed off for being overlooked in this 3 way cuz he is. The focus is on Kenny vs Orange they almost should have it be a singles match, the focus at the end of the segment was all about Kenny and Orange but it's gonna be an awesome match nonetheless.
Why is Mark Sterling Jade's manager, I'm praying it's a swerve and Salina de la Renta shows up at the PPV and Jade clotheslines Sterling or something. the match was good got an extended amount of time, KiLynn got in a good amount of offense it it was still Cargills match. For only having 5 matches Cargill ain't bad. Another star in the making.
The Miro match was short and sweet Donte showed some fire but Miro was too much for him aa he should have been he's facing Archer at the PPV. The pre match promo from Jake and Lance and the post match stuff with the beat down was awesome. I've been typing awesome a lot but theres been a lot of awesome stuff on the show.
It's now time for me to compare AEW to WWE and how AEW does it better. They show respect for their competitors and their accomplishments. With that I mean the Shida celebration felt organic and genuine. She's the first AEW Champion to have a year long reign and unlike in the WWE when some one "becomes the longest reigning Champion in WWE history" this felt less manufactured than when WWE does it. Like she didn't have an ignored reign or not defend the title for an extended amount of time and only got a push because they finally realized they were close to breaking a record and then start pushing her as champion to push the milestone. Shida had a really good run as champ in the darkest time of the AEW Women's Division she busted her ass to give stellar matches and was a true champion, brought prominence to the division. it felt like a celebration of Shida and not just the accomplishment. And of course Britt Baker comes to rain on the parade, they have a title match coming up. Britt's another whose stock rose during the pandemic I'd say they both put the Women's Division on their backs in a rough time and finally they are meeting face to face. Britt is over, the fans respect Shida but they wanna see Britt as champ.
I'm all for Sammy's Subterranean Homesick Blues gimmick during the picture in pictures. great device to get angles over.
That tag match between Scorpio/Ethan and Stu/Uno was pretty dope. Was exactly what it needed to be a vehicle to establish Scorp and All Ego as an effective tag team but going in there with an established tag team that have a reputation with the fans are being a rough and tumble team in their own right and coming out the victors. Sting disguise himself as Sting will never not be awesome. Oops I said it again.
If that Inner Circle segment was the final send off. What a send off. Seriously the strongest faction in AEW over the last 18 months. They've done a lot of cool shit. This faction has probably been the closest to the Horsemen and they weren't even trying to be the Horsemen. Everyone knocked it out the park in their promos. It felt real they mean all this, then The Pinnacle just had to ruin it. Poor Dean, why did they take his pants off? If you were to examine the angle I think it all stems from MJF being jealous and envious of Jericho having true friends and it has manifested itself into hatred. Stadium Stampede is gonna be killer and I think completely different from last year and Im extremely cool with that. Those piledrivers through the tables, a stellar not awesome but stellar way to close the show.

Danielson would absolutely blow the roof off the fucker. I'd be down for D-Bry showing up in AEW. Do I think it's gonna happen? Not likely.

I don't see him on their roster page and considering how long it's been I don't think he's still with them. That and I think he signed on recently for G4 so among the other stuff he's doing I don't think AEW's part of his immediate plans.
Makes sense. I don’t remember seeing him since the Full Gear 19 Buy In. I’m a Mauro fan I dig his style. His WWE stuff wasn’t bad he was different than your standard WWE announcer and that was the problem he didn’t fit what McMahon believes a commentator should be. Mairo during Tyson vs Jones Jr reminded me of how good he could be. When he was just straight up calling the matches on New Japan on AXS he was at his best. If they are gonna bring in somebody new for Rampage I think Mauro and Taz would be ga great team for your 10pm Second Show.

Is Golden Boy still employed by AEW? Maybe he should be a commentator on Rampage. I say Excalibur Golden Boy and Taz.

Anyone here think there's any chance in hell of Danielson being the surprise entrant of the Casino Battle Royal on Sunday?

I lost the review I did again, This time it was for New Year Dash but this time I said fuck it and watched the show again and rewrote the review.
New Year Dash from the Tokyo Dome City Hall 1/6/21:
1. Gaberial Kidd vs Yuji Nagata: Big Yuji Nagata fan. Blue Justice like a mother fucker. Gaberial Kidd he's cool, he's one of 3 Young Lions they've had since the Covid Relaunch in June of last year. This was pretty back in forth for an 8 minute opener involving a veteran like Nagata and a Young Lion like Kidd. This starts with a chain wrestling/wrist lock spot cuz the match involves a Young Lion. But they kept it simple and the match as a fun watch. Nagata literally kicked the hell out of Kidds chest, Kidd hit a missile drop kick that prompted an applause break so he's getting over with the New Japan audience. He even got a half crab in on Ole Blue Justice. Kevin Kelly and Capleton? I know Capleton is a raggae artist but it's that the guys name right? Chris Capleton. Well they are pulling a Tony and Brain talking about the nWo as they are talking about Jay White's contract status as there was a Jay White Contract Angle going on at this time. Jay White elected to stay in New Japan but the english commentators instead of calling this match are going on about Jay White. Nagata makes a comeback of kicks and suplexes. Nagata sinks in a crossface variant where he has trapped Kidd's the arm in between his legs and Kidd taps. Yuji Nagata wins the match.
2. Suzuki-gun (Minoru Suzuki and Douki) vs Tiger Mask IV and Yuya Uemura: Minoru Suzuki is a favorite of mine, I love that he's just a 50 plus sadistic old fuck. He'll never be world champion but he doesn't have to be he just likes watching the world burn and I can respect that. With all the buzz for the new Mortal Kombat movie, it's a shame there's the travel restrictions due to Covid and all cuz with his get-up Douki would have headlined a Wrestlemania weekend show against Glacier. Once Covid clears up if it ever does we may one day see Douki vs Glacier in a Mortal Kombat Characters Rip Off Match. mark it down, this is the rare gun match that doesn't begin and complete and utter chaos at the sound of the bell. This actually starts off with chain wrestling/wrist lock spot between Uemura and Douki. Look at Suzuki-gun adhering to the unwritten Young Lions Match rules. It's pretty rudimentary to start off until Douki whips Uemura towards the ropes and Uemura pumps up the volume by elbowing Suzuki off the ropes then he does oit agin followed by a huge lariat onto Douki. The crowd erupts into applause. Suzuki kicks Uemura in the back and tries him up in an armbar in the ropes. As Douki knocks Tiger Mask off the apron and follows him to the outside. Now its starting to resemble a Suzuki-gun match. Capleton, the musician said on commentary kept bringing up that Minoru Suzuki wrestled Antonio Inoki back in 89. I went to New Japan World and typed it in the search bar, no dice. I did some investigating on cagematch, Inoki wrestled Minoru and Vicious Warrior on the same show. Beat em both. Whose Vicious Warrior you ask? None other than Sid Vicious. Uemura gets the Ricky Morton in the heels corner as he tag partner stands there and watches. Minoru was laughing at one point. He really likes fucking people up. Uemura finally gets the hot tag after some struggle, Tiger Mask hits a crossbody so he finally gets in the match. He punches Minoru off the apron cuz he must have a death wish. Tiger gets Douki in a leg submission of sorts. Douki gets the tag to Minoru, he and Tiger mix it up a bit, then Tiger hits Minoru with this underhook powerbomb that was pretty cool. Uemura bombards Minoru with a flurry of forearms in the corner. Minroru hulks up and starts swinging. Uemura had a really exciting underdog babyface run toward the end there, just fighting out of everything Minoru putting him in, hitting offense left and right, plus going for inside cradles and roll up pins whenever he could. Tiger Mask even breaks up a Boston Crab attempt and Uemura got a big drop kick off. Minoru hits Uemura with a Gotch Style Piledriver for the 3. Suzuki-gun are victorious.
3. The United Empire (Will Ospreay, Jeff Cobb and The Great O'Khan w/Bae Priestly) vs TenCozy (Tenzan and Kojima) and Yota Tsuji: This match starts off the way I thought the previous match was going to start, a complete malee from the heels at the start of the babyfaces introduction. As the others take to the outside, Tenzan and O'Khan stay in the ring and brutalize each other. O'Khan is gunning for Tenzans signature move, the Mongolian Chop is its a battle to see who will use it first. After several attempts O'Khan hits Tenzan with his own move. Ospreay handles Kojima on one side of the ring, Cobb has Yota on the other side as Khan works over Tenzan's elbow in the ring. The United Empire the dominant force in this match. Jeff Cobb comes in and continues the attack on Tenzan. Cobb going from friendly smilin' foreign wrestler to become mean and nasty foreign wrestler will only further his career in Japan. Nice to see him get out of perennial Mid Card Championship matches with Hirooki Goto for the time being. Tenzan gets the Ricky Morton in the heel corner. Tenzan crawl to his corner like 3 time sand all 3 times Kojima is knocked off the apron before Tenzan could make the tag. Tenzan got his ass kicked, especially Khan but Cobb too, looked like unstoppable monsters putting the boots to Tenzan. Ospreay is clearly the groups leader as he lets his henchmen wear Tenzan down then he gets in there and ties it up with the man. Tenzan manages a rolling kick on Ospreay gets the hot tag to Kojima, who makes up for lost time knocks Cobb and Khan off the apron and chops the shit outta Ospreay's chest in the corner. Ospreay eventually takes back over. Yota ends up in the ring, shows some babyface fire against Cobb, but Cobb does hit a massive scoop slam it was crazy. Power moves are awesome when they look like the impact could cause an earthquake. The babyfaces get some heat on the heels who up to this point have fully been in control of the match as the spurts of offense from the faces have been just that spurts. Cobb and O'Khan lift Yota up, Ospreay hits an Oscutter from the 2nd rope and Cobb covers Yota for the 3. The United Empire stand tall at the final bell. After the match The Empire beats down Yota, Tenzan makes the save but Khan hits him with 4 consecutive Mongolian Chops and his own TTD tombstone piledriver and the beat down continues on Tenzan before Kojima runs in and lays on top of Tenzan to protect his tag partner and friend. The Empire just start stomping the shit outta Kojima. Ospreay hits a running spinning elbow. Ospreay cut a promo the Empire stodd in unison as their opponents lay incapacitated on the mat. The match and the post match angle all but solidified The United Empire as the nes top heel stable they laid waste to their opponents this was an old school heel beatdown. Tenzan was taking out on stretcher for crying out loud. Gedo is a student of Memphis and this is how they would establish the new dominant heel stable back in Memphis.
Intermission
4. Suzuki-gun (Taichi, Zack Sabre Jr, El Desperado and Kanemura w/Douki) vs Bullet Club (El Phantasmo, Taiji Ishimori, Tama Tonga and Tonga Roa w/Jedo): This starts off the way a gun match should properly start off, with a preemptive strike on the opposing team before the bell can ring. Capleton brought up that Taichi wants to know where the Iron Claw that Tama used on him 2 nights before but Tama was acting coy which lead to chaos ensuing. Needless to say Taichi and Tama stayed in the ring with Tama taking the brunt of the punishment until Roa made the save for his brother. Taichi fights out of a Bullet Club attack with as Capleton calls it a Greco-Roman choke hold on everbody including Jado. It all comes full circle as Taichi reapplies the choke hold onto Tama and the semblance of a match starts to form. As Suzuki-gun were taking their turns beating up Tama in their corner Capleton explained that when The Crazy Dog Man Iizuka was last seen he left his Iron Claw in the ring and Taichi grabbed it. I think Tama stole it after using it on Night 1 and now he won't give it back. So far the match is built around Taichi vs Tama over an Iron Claw. Gedo watches 80s Memphis. Jado hits Desperado in the back with his kendo stick leading to Bullet Club taking over as only Bullet Club could through obnoxious heel tactics. Taichi stormed the ring and went straight for Tama on the apron and Roa had to toss him out of the ring. Commentary alluded to the Claw having some sort of mystical possession on Taichi and its evident as he is laser focused borderline obsessed with Tama Tonga. Desperado gets a lengthy Ricky Morton in the heels corner even enduring a titty twister from resident sleaze ball El Phantasmo. An Eyepoke and slap to the face of Tonga Roa leads to a hot tag to Sabre. Sabre and Roa go back and forth for a hot minute and we are all better off because of it. Sabre's unorthodox submission based offense and Roa's power based offense really gelled. Sabre stretched Roa, Roa beat the hell outta Sabre. There was a spot in there where Sabre had Roa in a submission, Taichi had Tama in a hold and Kanemura had Phantasmo in a half crab then it went right back to Sabre vs Roa so Gedo took notes during his and Jedo's short lived ECW run I see. Kanemura and Phantasmo get tagged in. They traded moves, everybody ran in hit each other with there moves, it went back to 'Mura and Phantasmo, 'Mura swung his whisky bottle Phantasmo ducked, A couple near fall attempts from both men, Desperado distracts 'Mura. El Phantasmo Super Kicks Kanemura for the 3. Bullet Club leave the victors of this contest. After the match Ishimori fame-assers Desperado and runs away with the Jr Tag Straps along with Phantasmo. They toss the belts into the ring and Tama taunts Taichi over the Claw. This isn't over between gun and clizz.
5. Bullet Club (Evil, Jay White, Chase Owens, Yujiro Takahashi and Bad Luck Fale w/ Dick Togo and Gedo) vs Chaos (Yano, Yoshi-Hashi, Ishii, Hirooki Goto and Okada): Theres been 9 members of Bullet Club in the last two matches. plus 3 at ringside. Thats 12 members of Bullet Club plus KENTRA whose isn't on the show so there's 13 members of Bullet Club. Has there ever been another point in time BC had this many Members at once? This is the "last night on Jay White's contract", Kevin and Capleton bring it up. Yano's worked all three nights. So has Owens and Fale. Bushi too (he shows up in the next match). Yano and Owens start. Owens teases tossing Yanos trophy into the crowd. Yano walks into a double team between Fale and Owens. it ends up with Yujiro and Goto int he ring and the trade offense on each other. Yujiro bites Goto's thumb. Cxhaos uses the number advantage and beats down BC 5 on 1. Dick Togo even takes a beating. Bullet Club takes the match over, Evil even doing his chair baseball swing on Okada. Jay White tags in and the commentators start talking about how it could be Jay Whites last night in New Japan. Spoiler, it wasn't. Okada gets the Ricky Morton in the heels corner, including an extended showdown with Evil. Okada gets the hit tag to Ishii who mixes it up with Jay. They duck and reverse each others moves, Ishii hit a big scoop slam and White hit a crazy DDT that had Ishii doing a hand stand using only his neck. Chaos all run in and hit movez on White. Jay White hits a Blade Runner on Ishii gets greedy goes for a second Ishii reverses in and hits a Vertical Brainbuster for the 3. Choas wins. Yano never tagged in, once.
6. LIJ (Bushi, Hiromu Takahashi, Naito, Shingo and Sanada) vs Roppongi 3K (Rocky Romero & Sho), Master Wato, Golden Ace (Tanahashi and Kota Ibushi) : LIJ all made separate entrances, meet on the ramp and entered the ring together it was pretty rad. Bushi, Hiromu and Kota wrestled all 3 Nights. I'm sure others have wrestled all 3 nights but these are the handful i noticed. This set up at least 3 upcoming matches; Hiromu vs Sho, Shinjo vs Tanahashi and Ibushi vs Sanada. Well Ibushi vs Sanada was set up the day before but they got in the ring together and gave us a little test. They all did, thats something I like about New Japan they set up or build for upcoming single matches by putting the opponents of said match across the ring from in each other in a multi man tag match. I also dig that even though the crowd love them LIJ still wrestle like the heels. I don't know if Bushi and Wato have an upcoming program, I know they had wrestled each other in a Junior Tag Title match the night before so this could be an epilogue to that but after watching them mix it up in this match I wouldn't mind a one on one matchup between them. For a 17 minute match this goes by fast, match breaks down into everyone running into the ring, hitting movez on each other, ends uo with Bushi and wato back in the ring alone. Bushi hits a mid rope front backstabber to Wato for the 3. LIJ wins. They further build to the upcoming single matches with stare downs between Champions and Challengers. Bushi cuts a promo challenging Wato to a match, called it. Also they are alluding to some friction between Naito and the rest of the group I think.
Edit: This was the better write up on the two I wrote. Almost a blessing in disguise that I lost the first one.

I posted this in the Podcasts thread but I think it's also appropriate to post it hear as they do talk about the Dark Side episode but here's Days of Thunder and Strong Style History's joint podcast on the Collision in Korea event.

Two of the better wrestling podcasts out, Days of Thunder and Strong Style History have came together to bring us a podcast covering Collision in Korea!!! Very timely as we are 5 days from the airing of the Dark Side of the Ring episode. They talk about the episode but also go in deep on the actual wrestling events that took place in North Korea.
Also I just signed up for Between the Sheets Patreon to hear their History of ECW on TNN SeriesI'm on part 3 of 6 and holy fuck is it really really good. They have alot of cool shit on their Patreon, I'm excited to listen to The George Scott Booking WCW, Kip Frye's WCW, Flair being Fired and Flair Returning Podcasts on their. Well worth the 5 Dollars a month.

Eric Bischoff has an entire chapter in his book about the North Korea Trip, that and Flairs account in his book made me excited for this episode but I think Vice focused too much on the fight between Scorp and Hawk. They should have told the Ali story. They should have focused on how weird it was over there and they didn't talk about he actual wrestling events all that much.

Did that ramp bump really turn people off the product? They went from a 1.2 to a .8 in 6 weeks they’ve been solid shows, what’s going on?
-
I watched last night and i'm trying to remember the show from the night before, normally when I write these reviews I write them as Im watching so bare with me on this one ...
Christian Cage vs Matt Sydal was really good. Smart move using Christians TNA theme it works, it fits Christian who since returning in March has been really good. He hasn't lost a step in 7 years and It's cool to see these first time match ups like this one against Matt Sydal. I like these 10 plus minute openers AEW does. They are fun and it's cool to see a show start with hard hitting matches and not in ring promos.
I popped when Malenko and Jericho referenced the 1004 Holds segment from Nitro.
Ricky Starks looked like a million bucks and cut a hell of a promo. That kids gonna be a star. Christian vs Team Taz, i've been liking this feud so far. If you turn down Team taz they make your life a living hell. Christian would be a good first opponent for Hook. Adam Page was gold with the hold my drink spot with Starks, Starks being a stick man while healing from his neck injury might lead to some fun moments and he has two feuds coming back in with Christian and Page after this segments. I know the Dark Order ran in because of their affiliation with Page but Christain is gonna need some strength in numbers in this Tea Taz feud and Dark Order has the numbers.
That Varisty Blondes promo was aces way to build to the main the hungry faces calling out the arrogant heel champions.
I thought last weeks Wild Thing was more fitting to Mox than this weeks Wild Thing works for Rick Vaughn but John Moxley is no Rick Vaughn. The match itself was really good. Moxley and Kingston are great together, Not only oner promos which they are killing it at week in and week out but they have really been gelling well as a team. This match was no expection, but The Acclaim are a great team in their own right and I think they could have a good match with anyone. Casters line about Oral Sessions boy oh boy that was 04 Cena if I ever heard 04 Cena. Bowens is a good friend cuz that right he ate was a receipt for Casters line. Dynamite and AEW have their faults but one thing they are really good at is building up to matches those promos both teams cut on each other before the break going into this were really good. Made you wanna stay tuned for the match.
After the last 3 or 4 weeks of run in and blatant attacks on Darby Aliin and Sting it was inevitable we were gonna get a tag match at Double Or Nothing. I'm excited to see Sting in an Actual match in almost 6 years. It's been since September of 15 against Seth Rollins. Hopefully no one buckle bombs Sting this time.
The Pinnacle in the restaurant, I thought it was a good promo. On the Horseman Tribute Act scale Pinnacle is more Evolution than it is Fortune to me so thats a good thing.
It's funny to me that Rebel was hired to be the make up artist backstage not a wrestler and through a series of circumstances becomes an on air character and occasional wrestler. Granted she was in there with Shida and the match was kept short but she's gone a long way since the Shelly Martinez match. Of course this was all to build to Baker vs Shida at DON with Baker hitting a Curbstomp on Shida after the bell. Shida has had a title run she can hang her hat on she's coming up on a year and Year plus a week when DON comes I think Baker has proven over the last year it's time for her to have a run with the title.
Kenny and Don are really going out of their way to get Orange Cassidy out of the match maybe they believe Cassidy is more of a threat then they are leading on. This segment was entertaining but maybe further proof that this doesn't have to be a triple threat nothing against Pac but the segment could have existed without Pac being involved int he match. I think Christian Cage is winning the Casino Battle Royal getting the All Out title match, I know last year was different but I think thats what they are doing based on solely on thats how they did it in 19, last year they had the Casino Ladder Match. They could have had Cassidy winning last week getting the Title Shot. Pac wins the battle Royal getting the DON title match and Then Christian could get a title match on the Fyter Fest edition of Dynamite.
That Inner Circle promo was really good. I'm really digging this faction war it feels personal on both sides. This years Stadium Stampede looks to be more violent and less cheeky than last years, I'd be ok with that. I'm interested in seeing if The Inner Circle lose the match and break up. It sure looks like it's going that way. an Inner Circle win looks like it would kill Pinnacles heat right now as base don TV presentation they are the top heel faction in the Promotion (sorry BCLITE).
Why would Jade concern her self with a knob like Sterling? Selina de la Renta is a free agent and I don't know if Strong Sexy Women ever being managed by another Strong Sexy Women has ever been done in wrestling before, maybe now is the time.
It was nice to see Sareena Deeb back in action. Her and Red Velvet had a really good television match a really good match in general. Velvet has really came into her own and Deeb is like the Malenko of the Women's Division and thats a really good thing. Maybe she's more so the Ultimo Dragon as she's defending an outside title but another really good wrestler to be compared to nonetheless.
Pac as the pissed off little man with the mean streak is awesome. He promo was awesome, he made some great points he was been under looked fucked he's being under looked in this upcoming Triple Threat.
Ogogo looked like an absolute killer, Gunn spitting out blood and the ref stopping the match was a nice touch. Thats how you build a new star. So now we know who he is beating Cody at DON . He gonna beat Cody to a bloody pulp until the ref stops the match and really I think it's gonna work.
Kazarian vowing to rip the BCLITE's collective hearts out was a great promo. Daniels dejected, Kaz hiding his face with his ball cap in shame, they are finally making the Bucks turning heel feel special and the Bucks are finally feeling like they are heels, on'y took them a month plus I think Mox and Kingston are organically getting an ally in their crusade.
That Miro promo and back and forth with Archer made up for all the Kip Sabian stuff. That match was gonna be wild.
The Main Event was really good. The Varsity Blondes were great int heir role as the fiery undercard babyfaces. After that Brian Pillman Darkside of the Ring there's no way Jr is gonna be a heel anytime soon. The Bucks really heeled it up in this. The Blondes got a lot of offense in, they looked really good. The Bucks really made them in this match. The cold spray to the eyes being the new finish for the Bucks is probably the best heel tactic they could do. I liked that it almost backfired with that Schoolboy from Pillman. Serves them right they got their shoes stolen. The Bucks have to lose to Moxley and Kingston at DON.

I hadn't thought about it till reading the above posts, what are they gonna do with the TNT Championship come January?

I dug the whole presentation of Moxley vs Nagata. The pre match split screen, the camera following Nagata and to the ring from the backstage area all felt like the lead up to a big MMA fight. I hope they keep doing that going forward. I really hope Moxley keeps Wild Thing as his theme in AEW it was a cool ascetic. The match was really good, a ten minute stiff fest, the beat the heel outta each other and Moxley got busted open hardway, can't beat that.
I didn't want to Like Cody's Promo but I liked Cody's promo. Him vs Ogogo is gonna be good I think. The set up with Ogogo punching Cody in the ribs and draping the Union Jack over him was awesome. I also like that Cody vs Marshal was a stepping stone for Cody vs Ogogo, Ogogo's first major wrestling angle. Cody wrestling as "The American Dream" at the PPV has me worried that he's going over as I think Ogogo should go over Cody. Look who long it's taken Shawn Spears to recover from the booking post Cody lost, you could argue Spears hasn't fully recovered and I fear the same for Ogogo.
That video package with SCU before the Tag Match really brought the point of how much this match really means to SCU not only that if they lose they are done as a tag team but that the want to smack some sense into the Young Bucks for their recent actions. I have been vocal about how much the Bucks heel turn has fallen flat and this was a nice step in trying to get some heat on the Bucks. SCU took it personal and the Bucks aren't the same Bucks they've known for all these years on the road together. This is the first match since the turn I actually bought The Young Bucks as heels. Maybe they are becoming more comfortable in their new roles but this felt like The New Mean Streak Bucks they've been alluding too. The are cocky, mean and will cheat to win. I may be turning a corner on the Heel Bucks. If MAtt's new gimmick is mocking Shawn Michaels I could get behimnd that. Really good match. SCU wrestled like their lives depended on it and they kinda did. Daniels bled buckets Kazarian had the match won twice on his own. It took a can of cold spray to finally put SCU down. What A final match from that team.
Kingston and Moxley destroying The Elites locker room, to a nicer group it couldn't have happened.
We are getting Christian Cage vs Matt Sydal next week. That should be good.
Where Is My Mind fits Orange Cassidy like a glove. I don't want to gratuitously knock WWE well I haven't done it yet but This is the first matlch up between Cassidy and Pac since Revolution 2020 14 1/2 Months ago granted Covid happened and Pac was stuck in England for most the year, but had this been WWE they'd have had 20 return matches in that time. AEW has kept them away from each other until now and it's for a World Title Shot. That first match was the first time in AEW that Orange Cassidy "took a match seriously" it was his coming out party for how good he really is, when he wants to be. There's more weight to this match I feel, Cassidy has came into his own over the last year while Pac who was ascending the ladder in AEW his momentum was cut out from under him due to no fault of his own. The match was really good, Nagata and Moxley set a tone and it's been followed so far. No exceptions here. Pac was his usual surly self putting a beating on Cassidy and Cassidy put up a fight. That rolling it the corner pose and then duck under leg sweep into the ring post into the second commercial was a cool spot. The finish, i'm not too hip on no finishes but this did't feel like a no finish cuz either man wanted to do the job, this was done to further an angle. Kenny is the egotistical Champion that doesn't want to lose the belt so he'll do everything in his power not to, even if that means causing a no contest in the number one contenders match. Of course it backfires cuz it should and Kenny is facing both men at DON. That match should be really good so i'm not mad about that. There was a triple threat Tag Team Championship Match at Full Gear 2019. I don't think theres been a Championship triple threat since. Id have rather the time spent to do the Cassidy hurt spot, the Callis distraction, Kenny from behind, the count out and Tony's announcement and reaction they could have continued the match and had Cassidy continue the match hit the Orange Punch and get the win. It was only 3 minute sit didn't take up that match time but after that interaction last week between Kenny and Cassidy I think the real money is on a one on one between Kenny and Orange. The best Cassidy angles are win his opponent feels they are above him and underestimate him only for Cassidy to show fully what he is capable of once the bell rings.
The Young Bucks feel into Moxley and Kingstons trap. I really hope Moxley and. Kingston take the straps from the Bucks at DON.
The Pinnacle-Inner Circle segment was cool. MJF and Tully are awesome on the mic, they were pissing the crowd off. The Champagne was a cool spot. The Heels in AEW are really good at getting coaxed into giving the Babyfaces what they want. I'm interested in how the Stadium Stampede turns out between the two groups, they just had a violent blood bath are they gonna go for the cutesy like last years Stampede.
Britt Baker has really came into her own as a personality and a competitor in the last year, I'm looking forward to the Shida match.
The Thunder Rosa match was quick and to the point. Rosa is a force to be reckoned with right now. I'm hoping we get a Britt-Rosa feud over the Strap sooner rather than later.
I don't know where they are going with this Jade Cardgill angle but if it means Cardgill's on my TV every week I'm cool with it.
Darby's black and White vignette was tight. Darby's is a very intriguing character there's a mystic to it a motif too. I hope they keep him primarily cutting promo's in black and white he doesn't need to be backstage with Dasha the video packages are his wheel house. Where has this Miro been for the last 8 Months? Darby took a beating, holy shit was that a beating. Darby can sell his ass off, you couldn't help but feel for him I was almost pleading for Miro to stop through my computer screen. If i could have thrown in the towel for Darby I would have. Miro looked like an unstoppable monster, he wasn't playing video games he wasn't a best man he was just a mean son of a bitch that brutalized the Champion and took his Belt away from him. This is exactly what Miro should be doing. I like that AEW always has something (most of the time) for someone to do after the get done with a program. Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky tossed Darby down a flight of stairs last week then interfered and chop blocked Sting so there's Darby's next program. Luckily for Ethan Page people will see his and Darby's matches this time. That was such a great jab at Gabe. And Miro looks to have found Lance Archer as his first challenger. That should be a great match. Gotta give it up to Darby Allin the first half of his reign during the Team Taz feud he didn't defend it that match but after the feud was over he became a fighting Champion and brought the belt back to the prominence it was at during Cody's first run.

Booker said in something I'd read earlier today regarding that. Along the lines that he didn't think it was a big enough or an important thing to showcase in his life and career.
He should have won that match. No TNA either but didn't he keep TNA out of one his books too?

They didn't mention the Triple H feud nor the Wrestlemania Match.

Tony and Ventura are really good in the booth together. Monsoon and Heenan are probably the best team to ever call the sport together. I thought Tazz and Michael Cole where a great team on SmackDown and Heat. I also have a soft spot for Mike Tenay and Don West.
