So the first trailer for Judas Contract is out, and rather than go the approach they did for the Batman classics, it's a loose adaptation set in the current film DCAU. So it's the team from Justice League vs. Teen Titans plus Nightwing.

    sounds like a definite pass.

  2. if it does happen, i'll be sorry to see Bader go. Was looking forward to a matchup with Gustafsson, and always hoped he would get a title shot (preferably against DC). I think there's still plenty of reason to keep him in the UFC, but i can see the other side of the coin also.

i don't see Bellator offering any big matchups for him. A title shot is obviously something Bader has never gotten, so that makes sense. Phil Davis is enough of a name that it could do OK. Bader-Mo is fine too, but after that i just don't see what's ahead.

None of my friends will go with me to house shows, it's all gotta be RAW or SDL and shit.  House shows have this stigma now that "oh, nothing happens" but I used to have lots of fun at house shows.  They are pretty fast-moving too.  Televised events half the time you are looking at a screen showing videos and bullshit.  My friends are all spoiled fans.

the couple house shows i've been to have been lame. it's been a few years, but the faces won every single match and it felt like everybody was mailing it in.

i feel like at this point i'd only go to PPVs Network Specials.

  4. official Tecmo Super Bowl prediction:                 Falcons 12, Patriots 7.

this game was ALL Falcons. a number of interceptions, a couple forced fumbles, and even a safety! Their offense was all over too, with great running and pretty decent passing. Pats had some key moments to hold the score so low. New England couldn't get anything going.

of course, i don't think Tecmo SB has been right in the six or so years i've been doing it this time, so who knows.

  5. damn, this is a VERY tough decision. the fact that Cowboy is probably last of the group, despite having FOUR WINS, including Matt Brown, is ridiculous.

Bisping: beat an all-time great, then the current champ, then avenged his biggest loss. solid case.

Conor: moved up two weight classes and lost, but immediately avenged that loss. and followed that up with winning his second championship. damn.

Nunes: beat a solid contender, then a great fighter for the belt, then an all-time great. holy shit.

Garbrandt: four straight wins, including against an undefeated opponent, AND one for the belt against someone who has looked basically unbeatable for years.

Stipe: three straight wins against some of the best of all time, including the Heavyweight strap.

ultimately, my vote goes to Bisping. he was legit KO'd against Anderson and still won the fight. Also, i think Hendo KO'd him also. how many guys get KO'd twice, but still come back and win the fight? that is just f'ing nuts.

no way is there a wrong answer here.

Hey guys, just a few questions for those who have a Wii U. I've wanted to pick one up for ages, finally grabbed one, what's the deal with the controllers? I have a Wii U controller (Tablet style) some Wii original controllers and a pro controller. Is the pro controller recommended for most games?

Looking forward to playing the Wii Zelda and Mario games.

Edit: Also, what are the Zelda HD remakes like? Are they sufficiently better to get hem again (as I have them on Wii original)

have had a Wii-U for a couple years now. my rule of thumb is, Wii game, Wii-mote. U game, gamepad.

i've never used a pro controller nor played the zelda hd remasters

  7. Lawler/Condit. one of the best fights of all time. both men collapsing on the top of the cage, right next to each other, after the final round, puts this over the top for me. such an awesome, awesome fight.

#2 is Reyes/Kim. kicked off my event of the year (ufc 199) and was totally unexpected but amazing.

#3 is Swanson/Choi. holy shit, how can a fight this sensational be third?!? what a year of fights. some definite classics.

According to Webster's Dictionary, it can mean either twice a month or once every two months, depending on context.

I'd explain further, but I have to go try to rid the internet of people who put the apostrophe in "its" to indicate possession.

    [/ocdaboutgrammar]

    and their you have it

  9. tough call. had to go with Gegard Mousasi, with four very nice wins in a row, including avenging his loss from 2015. it's crazy to think that he's only ranked #5 and that he still hasn't had a title shot in the UFC. i would love to see Jacare win the belt and then Mousasi get the first shot, closing out their trilogy. i guess we'll just have to see how this plays out.

i see Angela Hill is getting a lot of support. i haven't seen enough Invicta for her to get my vote, but i like what i'm hearing from you guys. i definitely need to start getting caught up on that promotion.

Cruz is a tough pick. He obviously came back and won the title in his return bout (against Dillashaw, who has looked fantastic). Then he beat up Urijah Faber again, which is no small feat. But then he had that upset loss to Garbrandt, which hurts him in my eyes. Just couldn't pick him.

Khabib is a beast, and one of my favorite LW fighters. I don't really know how much of a comeback this really is, tho. I mean, yeah, he was off for two full years, but he was right back into kill mode when he got back. It really feels like he never left. maybe that's a sign that he had the best comeback of all.

  10. for me it is UFC 199, and it's not even close. this was, top-to-bottom, potentially the greatest UFC card of all time.

for a card that looked quite lackluster, it delivered in spades. Topping it off with Michael Bisping KO'ing Luke Rockhold to win the MiddleWeight Title, in a fight that nobody gave him a chance in, is just icing on the cake. There wasn't a single bad fight all night (from what i can remember) and i was loving every minute of it.
