I had rehearsal and big lunch in which we watched McCown heroically try to save the game. Frustrating loss, considering we had two shots at the conversion. And goddamn Jay throwing a pick in the red earlier. I know we're missing some keys on Defense, but fuck are they eating the turds.Frustrating is the word for the Bears.

Ziggler does other things that I like. But a gentleman never kisses and tells.

Rollins is a fantastic bumper. That's about it, which is okay, because I LOOOOVE bumping. But really I can't say he's done much else to make me think he'll be more than third best guy in a three man group. Which isn't so bad. Some one has to be that guy and he plays it really well.

I try to avoid him, but if someone were to say "Hey, Jae here are some Davey Richards matches that aren't stupid watch them and see for your self!" I totally would. But no one does. So I don't.

If DVDVR was a long running sitcom, the the last scene of the this season's finale would be Andrew and Burgundy waking up hungover in bed together and screaming in horror at what they've done.

That's kind of how I feel with Okada. He's okay. Cool personality. But I don't really care for what he adds to matches. I love Tanahashi though. Not enough to say he should be in the Hall of Fame RIGHT NOW, but I totally dig whatever he's up to.

Starting to miss October.

Maybe my favorite match of his was against Colt Cabana of all people and they combined goofy shit and with his serious bizness stuff and it totally worked. You had some schtick with Kozina running around and tripping over himself, and a "faux-legit" looking finish with Cabana knocking Davey out with a knee counter. And it wasn't just Cabana that made it work. It was Davey, who actually sold the knee perfect, and allowed himself to be the butt of jokes, even playing it up. I thoroughly enjoyed not just the match, but him specifically. So it's not like I'm some crazy hater who can't do anything but hate on the guy. Generico is better than Davey at a lot of stuff though. If I want sprinty moves stuff I want Generico playing face and selling his ass off for sympathy than and showing a tad bit of restraint in his build to the finish.

Well who the fuck am I supposed to shit on then? Can't shit on Davey for wrestling shitty because it's for the fans. Can't shit on the fans for supporting shitty wrestling because that's just like their opinion maaaan. What am I supposed to do just ignore it and let people be free to live their shitty lives and enjoy stupid things? This isn't what the internet was made for. I have so much shit inside me. I have to let it out.

Those people are idiots.

It's not all on the fans. It's shared blame. They all suck. Davey The Fans Everything. Everything is shit. I've seen Davey wrestle a good match. And based on the way he worked that match, I think he can do what the WWE would want him to do.

Oh man Eddie Edwards outclassed a guy named Tony DelFonzo - high praise indeed.

I think I've disliked most of WWE's top faces since I was a child. It's pretty much Bret and if you count Savage, him. But Austin, Shawn, Cena, Hogan, I never cheered for any of them. Rock I liked, sometimes.

Fuck. I picked Minny to win originally but thought I was reaching too much for points.

Was there a particular reason why Sabu didn't get a hardcore division run in Attitude Era WWF? Drugs couldn't have beennthe issue considering the roster, and a Sabu vs. Foley plunder match would have been pretty rad.

The first comment left on that blog post had me laughing pretty hard. So congrats to which ever one of you knuckleheads left it.

Watched a bunch of stuff. Sanshiro Sugata (Kurosawa, 1943) This is Kurosawa's debut feature, but includes a lot of Kurosawa-isms that he'd refine in better movies. This isn't bad, but it's been cut up a little by Japanese regulations for wartime entertainment. The plot is pretty interesting about the rivalry between judo and jiujitsu. It's so cool to watch Kurosawa film judo like a waltz, and it's even better when one of the fighters is Takashi Shimura. I recommend it if you're a Akiro Kurosawa fan, and want to learn more about his film language. Like Hitchcock I find the more I watch of him the more I see what he's doing across all his films.
