Something something integrity? Fuck it, we'll do it live!" Seriously, way to make your officials look like complete blithering idiots. There was a whole mess of cat dander in the room during the Dusty tribute. Which is weird, because we don't even own a cat. Loved the visual of Seth's walk of shame past everyone who was leaving him out to dry for the main. I actually didn't mind the finish- it was a bit screwy but not nearly as big a cluster as it could've been. Seth gets elevated for finally doing it all by himself and Ambrose gets elevated for going through all that horrific abuse and still having a shot to win at the very end. I can dig it.

But honestly, that crowd was SO FUCKING HOT for everything that you didn't even care. I mean it was sheer unhinged madness when the Roadies came out that night. Also, Ricky Morton did a gonzo-level blade job for Ivan/Dick.

Willing to bet money that this was the first wrestling shirt I ever owned. Got it when the NWA ran the UIC Pavilion in Chicago in 1987. That card basically destroyed every WWF show I'd seen up to that point.

Wasn't Nikolai revealed to be Lithuanian after he turned face after the iron curtain came down? Should be either the old CCCP flag or the Lithuanian flag for him. Great T shirt though! Nikita became from Lithuania, not sure about Nikolai. Volkoff magically became Lithuanian too. They were the go-to "babyface" country.

JR comparing him to John Wayne in The Shootist is something else. Also, the story about them playing HORSE at 2 in the morning is awesome. My heart goes out to Rob right now... I can't even begin to imagine how heartbreaking this truly must be for him.

The other great Dusty promo that actually used to be on Youtube was the one of him in the WWF around 1978. A 5-6 minute promo that ends with him whooping up on Fred Blassie and Grand Wizard after they run in.

Something I forgot to mention: Castle whispering "thank you" in Liger's ear as they embraced postmatch. A very cool moment... you could see Castle was thrilled to have the match, and I'm sure Liger was just as happy to work in front of a crowd that jazzed to have him.

Pedro was pretty damn fun when he was young. He was a real spot monkey type in the 60s- I've seen photos of him doing all sorts of outlandish stuff for that period.
