  1. Maybe I just really hate Man of Steel, but I'd be hard pressed to put it over even bottom rung Marvel movies. If we're just considering "modern era" comic films. It's in the same group as Iron Man 3 for me. With that said, none of them are on part with the Batman stuff.
  2. I hope no one ever says that lol. Someone once said it like this, Marvel films are a trip to Five Guys, and the Nolan Batman movies are a Brazilian steakhouse. You can love both, but you're not going to say Five Guys is better, but you'll still have a damn good time.
  3. Actually, I loved Avengers in spite of Whedon. I seriously hate all of his other work. Also I count the Nolan Batman films among my all time favorites, but "fun" isn't what comes to mind when I think of the tone. When I think of fun, I think of Iron Man 1&2, Avengers or the Donner Superman movies. I could do without all the snark, mostly but some movies need a fun tone, and others need to be serious.
  4. Williams-Styles-Sabin I thought was legitimately very good, and it was made even better by being on a pretty damn good ppv card.
  5. I've always been a DC fan over Marvel when it comes to comics, but in no way, shape or form is Marvel not ahead in the film department. Beyond the Nolan Batman films, nothing DC puts out compares to the worst Marvel movie. The only excepting being MOS and Iron Man 3, they are perfectly comparable in the shit department. Otherwise, even the lesser Marvel movies are at least fun. When was the last time a DC movie had any fun whatsoever?
  6. Sunny should at least be smart enough to start cooking meth by now. In all seriousness, I hope that none of the younger girls getting into the business now look at Tammy as someone whose current choices should be mirrored. Not just (potentially) lying about cancer, but the really degrading and creepy shit she does now to make money out on the scene.
  7. Is this the two part British series from a couple of years ago? If so, I thought it was pretty damn good myself, and felt like a spiritual prequel to Hook in alot of ways. Yeah that's it. Found it on netflix and was hoping it was a series. Just a two-parter, sadly, but still worth your time. Definitely open to continue if they ever chose to.

  9. I find it hilarious that WWE tries their best to make sure that people believe that anything involving Triple H or HBK is automatically gold.
  10. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--warriors-sign-andrew-bogut-to-extension-234906281.html
  11. This is a win-win, honestly. I personally like the Suns' strategy. They have a future All-Star(I feel) in Bledsoe, a solid guy when healthy in Okafor, and the potential to add some really good youth to the team, and at a potentially low cost.
  12. I always loved Slaughter's performance in that match. To me, I just always found it cool that he dismantled an entire team with the most basic shit.
  13. In all fairness, he'll be fine as long as he reads the signs and respects the law and order.
  14. Pretty much exactly how I feel. For the life of me, I can't make myself care about anyone other than Colson. The shoehorned love angle with Ward and Skye is so predictable, I am begging for a swerve, like she fucks Fitz(or is it Simmons?) or something instead.
  15. You could say the same about Lebron vs Pacers, and we saw what happened. I dare say the Heat last year were deeper than the Bulls are this year.
  16. Also, the main character's name is Harry Potter. I mean, that's kinda fun, right? No expecto patronum, though.
  17. I think that's a pretty fair assessment. I don't think Wade is really going to show up until the playoffs, and even then, he will come and go. I'm expecting Bosh to become the second option over the season. I don't think their supporting cast is nearly as good as last year. I'm thinking Indiana takes the 1 seed this year. I honestly think they have a great chance of taking the Heat down, too. They are loaded for bear.
  18. Seems like every episode so far has been in a holding pattern. Nothing at all is happening. I'm sure they are going to kick it into gear in the second half of the season, but it's kinda obvious that they didn't plan on going to season 9.
  19. I agree. I wanted him to have a run in 05 so bad, especially after he had a better match with Angle than Shawn did.
  20. I was at the Mavs/Bobcats game tonight. It was my first NBA game. If you've never been to one, you owe it to yourself. Such a fun experience, and it turned my non-basketball fan friend into a fan. She was googling Gal Mekel during the game thanks to the Israeli guys sitting in front of us lol. Dirk didn't play, which was disappointing, but Carter, Calderon and Marion all looked fantastic. Monta had a bad offensive game, but was awesome on D with 5 steals. Fab Melo and Ranaldo Balkman looked shockingly good for guys fighting for a contract. Fab hit a fadeaway jumper that actually made Dirk stand up in appreciation. I got to meet the Bobcats dancers. These girls are definitely blessed in the booty department. The Bobcats inexplicably left Kemba, Henderson and MKG in the game till the end, even though it was a double digit lead for Dallas.
