  1. He also grew up a fan of Ric Flair & Harley Race, not so much guys like Hulk Hogan. And his best friend is Shawn Michaels. So he's seen that size isn't all that matters in wrestling. I'm not sure if Vince McMahon ever believed that though. Even after Rey Mysterio or Eddie Guerrero. He'll always seemingly go back to a guy like Batista.
  2. That ending was hype as shit. Brock is a face, just like that.
  3. I really don't think another brand split would fix anything. That was part of the problem that got things off the rails in the first place, in my opinion. Two shows, two world titles, two champions, one show always being the "B" show, one title always being the "B" title, half the PPVs being "B" PPVs & then trying to act like it was a big deal when two mid-card jobbers faced against each other, one from RAW & one from Smackdown. Then the shows feature replays of the other shows & both start with opening diatribes and it just didn't do anything for me. How would that help anything? That just means that instead of watching a 3-hour RAW, which most agree is too long, you would need to tune-in to Smackdown & it's 2-hours instead of just ignoring that it exists. "Bring back the brand split!" is up there with "re-hire Vince Russo!" for me. Just something that I will never be on board with. That's not the problem. You would still have the same creative teams just spread EVEN MORE thin and trying to write for two more hours every week.
  4. When people stop talking about him everytime he does anything.
  5. "Ravishing" Rick Rude, The Honky Tonk Man & King Kong Bundy are the three that I am clamoring for. Happy to finally see Randy Savage going in.
  6. Just because you put "no offense" in front of a statement doesn't mean you can go on after that to call them a douche & it be OK. Ain't you ever seen Talladega Nights? That's day one stuff.
  7. Better than Warren Moon, worse than Joe Montana. People never agree on greatest ever polls or anything anyway, so his name will just get mentioned along guys like Elway, Montana & Brady and naysayers will always bring up rings and postseason losses. Probably best to not overthink it. :-)
  8. Well, Colts Vs. Packers is still alive for the Super Bowl! Yay! Let's hope it's not Patriots Vs. Seahawks then...
  9. Colts/Packers Super Bowl would be best possible scenario for me, as a Packers fan living in Indiana. Would be a lot of fun for my friends & I to go at it, as most of them are Colts fans. Which of course means it'll be New England/Denver and Seattle.
  10. As a life long Green Bay Packers fan, the Cowboys got fucked. I didn't even understand why it was being challenged in the first place, let alone overturned into an incomplete. I don't understand that rule either, apparently.
  11. I'm going to try to predict the final four entrants in the Rumble this year as Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, a returning Sheamus and Rusev. Although if they do Ryback Vs. Rusev at the Rumble, I doubt either pull double duty. Maybe Luke Harper then?
  12. Avoided all spoilers for Wrestle Kingdom until I could watch the show tonight with two friends. None of us walked away from the show feeling overly impressed. We talked about the show afterwards & all three of us pretty much agreed it didn't live up to our expectations. My friends took off so I got online afterward to read about some wrestling, now not having to worry about accidentially reading any spoilers. I find the Wrestle Kingdom praise way over the top, with two matches that I thought were just OK getting 5-star reviews and it being called the best PPV in years. I'm not sure what the hell I didn't see that everyone else did. I have been following New Japan for a few years now. I've seen all the Okada/Tanahashi matches. I've been watching wrestling for close to 30 years total now. In 2014 I watched more wrestling than I ever have. Maybe I'm just too jaded to appreciate things anymore. I know tastes are subjective & I don't think Okada/Tanahashi or Nakamura/Ibushi sucked or anything but I didn't think either were anywhere close to 5-stars and I was honestly shocked when I was reading all of the praise. Not just from Meltzer but from posters here on DVDVR & some other forums as well. Guess I'm the odd man out this time...
  13. Something about "in between these four ropes" instead of four posts & then the commentators kept making jokes about there not being four ropes. And Cesaro tried to cover it up a little bit after he said it like "there's four sides..." or something. Then he got squashed & looked like a geek anyway, so even if he said it right, it would not have mattered.
  14. I feel like Greggulator explains the show better than the shows do.
  15. Their finish needs to hit harder. The top part should be more diving clothesline and less European uppercut. They don't have a prayer of getting over if their one big move always looks dainty like that.
  16. What about Daniel Bryan wins the Rumble, Brock retains (or loses) against Cena then Seth cashes-in on Brock/Cena to win the title? I had completely forgotten about the briefcase until right now. Is that going to play into things at all before Wrestlemania?
  17. WWE made Edge into a bigger star than Christian. When they were tag team partners, for the most part, they were pretty equal. After they went solo, they weren't. WWE made sure that you knew that tonight, that's for sure.
  18. I assume it's not something negative as why would he look forward to that?
  19. It doesn't? Only thing it's missing is that sloppy fuck Capt. New Japan. Any show without Yano, Archer or Iizuka would be 100% better. This card being no exception. Half the card looks awful. Half the card looks awesome. Good enough for me.
  20. "Haystacks Calhoun? HE WAS A MOUNTAIN OF A MAN!"
  21. I'm not high on it being Striker but I didn't like the idea of Tenay or Meltzer either. Whatever, it being in English at all is fine by me.
