  1. eeeeek my first time ever watching a puroresu event live. I've never seen an event before that I didn't already know the results. Excited.
  2. I like that the last two Steelers drives ended with turnovers by the concussion brothers. Maaaaybe they shouldn't have been in the game.
  3. I love Sera. I dunno what that says about me, but she instantly went in my party and has never left it.
  4. The ideal for the Bills would be to get a offensive-minded head coach, and keep Schwartz as the DC. Not sure the likelyhood of both of those things happening. At the moment they are literally interviewing everyone that may potentially be qualified so its hard to tell what way they are leaning. When there aren't even fake leaks about a team's preference you know they have no idea.
  5. New year, I figured it was about time to start a new thread. I am going to try to do better this year on starting topics about the big events. Will I be successful? We'll see! But any show that doesn't have a thread or just for general puroresu stuff, post it here.
  6. I want all you people only coming in to talk about Wrestle Kingdom to stick around Puro is fun.
  7. Just pretend like Orcs have really bad eye sight. I mean they are Orcs, maybe everything past 10 feet looks like a tree.
  8. I got a Fitbit Surge for Christmas. It is fascinating. I've been using fitbit for over a year now so I already knew I'd like it, as I've lost weight this past year I've been obsessively looking at my calories, exercise, etc. and the Surge just makes it even easier. I wanted the Surge because it looks like a watch so I don't feel weird wearing it at work, I didn't need the GPS. But the heart rate tracker is awesome. Some have complained about it not being accurate, I tested it against my chest HRM during a run and there was only 3 BPM difference, so it works for me. I must have good veins, but apparently things like where it is on your wrist, how tight it is, and where/how big your veins are can make it less accurate. Even if its just within 5 BPM that is close enough for me, I mostly look for trends and things like that and to make sure when I am walking I stay above 110. I check it throughout the day, it was funny last week that during the Bills game my heart rate slowly went up through the game from 70 BPM to 95 BPM even though I was just sitting in my chair watching the game. Being a Bills fan is stressful. But yea. Its fun, I recommend it to anyone interested in such things.
  9. Neither of them are likable, which is why on one hand it has been interesting to watch but on the other hand I really don't want an immediate rematch as I think it would burn everyone out at some point.
  10. This Pitt/Houston 4th quarter is just fascinating. I know its on at a bad time and is a throw-away bowl, but an entertaining ending.
  11. Yea.... that's reason #23 I don't go to gyms. My trusty treadmill is sitting three feet away from my desk.
  12. Saw Into the Woods with my mother today. If you liked the musical, you'll like the movie as they kept 95% of the songs/plot the same and all the actors were really good. I don't known how people that didn't see the musical will react to it but its the closest 'play/musical to movie' adaptation I have ever seen. Recommended for sure if you like musicals, but if you don't.... probably should avoid it.
  13. The Bills will have lots of cap space since they have a lot of dead money coming off the books, so they can go get the 'best' FA QB available. But.... uh not a lot of good options there. I mean the 'top' QBs are Matt Moore, Shaun Hill, Locker, Vick, Hoyer, and Sanchez. Maybe a trade for Cutler, but none of these names are filling me with confidence. I know the goal is for Manuel to come around and he has shown bright spots here and there, but I'd like for them to get a solid veteran to come in to at least compete with him so he doesn't just get handed the job if he still doesn't show the ability to do it correctly.
  14. I don't think its normal for NFL QBs to throw big parties during the season on a 'work night,' while I am not saying he is solely responsible since they are all adults it still does show a lack of maturity.
  15. Over in Buffalo, I don't expect any changes but anytime there is a new owner you wonder if they want their own people. There have also been rumors all year that Marrone and Whaley don't get along but I still expect everyone to be back one more year.
  16. Yea I hate companies that go above and beyond what most companies will do to keep their customers happy. Fuck those guys.
  17. Ryan Clark had to have his spleen removed but that wasn't due to a hit, it was due to playing in Denver (sickle cell). That is the only football player I can recall having an organ removed after a football game.
  18. I will chip in a dear RIP for puroresufan. Like others, that was the first puroresu site I really followed when I got into puroresu in 2003, but I haven't really gone there in years as I get most of my Japanese information from other sites now. But it was a big part of what got a lot of fans into puroresu so sad to see it go, Stu always seemed like a stand-up guy even if he was a bit of homer at times
  19. That movie would have made about 5 million opening weekend and disappeared into the abyss, it wasn't that good, just a silly comedy with Franco over-acting. Now it will like go down in history or something. Great.
  20. Yea, with Beckham it is more "which WRs that made the pro bowl are worse than Beckham," its not a ranking of all players. They can't have 20 WRs and two linemen. The only players he had better stats than is Megatron and AJ Green, so that's not really fair but name recognition will always be a factor.
  21. Hell I am working Christmas Eve and Christmas for a whole lot less than that (but still more than I usually make). Money > Family.
  22. My dad is a big Manning fan, even switched teams he rooted for when he went to Denver. I told him last night to enjoy watching Manning because I don't think he will be watching him much longer. Manning doesn't seem like the type that would hang around if he is not performing at his usual high level, and the last half season he has had more bad games than good. Don't get me wrong, current-level Manning is still better than 90% of the QBs in the league, I'd take him in a heartbeat for the Bills, but I don't think when Manning watches the tape he will be satisfied with his current abilities. I guess we will see. I'm not sure if it is injuries catching up to him or just getting old, but he doesn't have the precision and zip he did even earlier this year.
  23. Hmm that is 15 minutes from my house. First M-1 Global comes to Hampton Roads, now Glory. So weird.
