  1. I mean Mississauga is pretty much Toronto...
  2. Almost wish they had a place to show these, maybe on demand or some kind of schedule, like a network or something Nah, if they had something like that they'd show multiple reruns of stuff like total divas and Bellas
  3. SO I am not that far in, but am I the only one thinking there is some issue with drops? I've knocked down a few bosses and have got nothing.
  4. So, could it be that the reason they are doing War Games on NXT is so they can get some HD footage to use for when they do it on the main roster? maybe then they add a roof to it to make it "War in Hell" or something like that.
  5. It would actually make sense for them to try to add as much canadian content. If they can be declared CanCon, it's not like getting government subsidy directly (Although it may make it easier to get Film and Media Tax credits), but every station has to play a certain amount of CanCon as a condition of License up here. I'm not sure what it is, but if they are cheap enough, they could get picked up by other networks or at the very least help out with the numbers on Fight Network and GameTv, the networks they are flooding with impact programming up here right now (Fight Network being a Second tier cable channel, so not available to everyone, Game TV is I think a must-carry for Digital Carrier up here) Cancon, the reason Anne Murray and early Celine Dion had careers, could save impact.
  6. Being a fan, you gotta think Roddy is getting a kick out of being managed by Ellering, even if it's only for 1 match
  7. I give it better then 70-30 that he shows up on RAW in that tonight.
  8. What's Pizza the Hut doing in the Impact zone, Eh?
  9. In other Wyshynski news, Puck Soup now has a patreon. I'm guessing we get an announcement about Greg going where ever he is going early in the week and then the last MvsW later in the week as they did say they would explain why it had to end. I'm guessing Greg is going to somewhere that Rogers considers competition (Probably The Athletic) Sean Lehey is going where ever Greg is as well.
  10. https://www.fightful.com/booker-gabe-sapolsky-sends-email-evolve-talent-regarding-transition-period-gives-advice-bad-habits And now the Emails are coming out (and it's Bix) Hey everyone, This is an important email so please read it through. We are about to enter a transition period. I want to use this weekend to prepare for that. A major part of this will be the in ring work. You are all awesome, obviously, or you wouldn't be booked. However, I want to change some things you do in EVOLVE to make EVOLVE different and also prepare for what's next. I will explain more in person, but this weekend please concentrate on these things: -Make every lock up on the show count. I saw Regal last week and he was at BOLA. I was surprised for him to say that he didn't see many good lock ups there. Honestly, he said he barely saw one good lock up. I know this might be surprising, especially since some of you were on the show. This is a major thing. It's about starting your match up with believability. Please let's put on emphasis on lock ups where you fight for position rather than go into a spot. -Don't look into the floor camera at anytime. This is a Vince/WWE thing. I really don't care if you look into the camera or not, but this is a habit you will have to break as soon as you go to WWE/NXT, so you might as well break it now. I can explain this more in person. It's a huge thing there, so don't discount this. -Make every kick, strike and chop count. I don't mean go in there and beat each other up. Just don't waste your kicks, strikes, chops and sell it. In addition, consider who your opponent is. If Keith Lee is striking you, sell it bigger than if someone smaller was striking you. Keep the situation and opponent in mind with your selling and how you do kicks, strikes and chops. -Don't do cool stuff for the sake of cool stuff. Everything should be about winning the match. I'm not saying don't do cool stuff, but don't do it just to do it. Have it make sense in your match. -Challenge yourself to break your normal routine of spots. I don't care what match rating you get on Twitter. This is small picture stuff. I want everyone to think big picture and long game. I can explain this better in person. - I've been traveling with Chris Dickinson a lot lately since we are from the same area now. We have talked about this stuff extensively in the car. I feel he has a good grasp of it and can explain it from a worker's perspective, which I can't. Please get with him on any questions. I've also told Chris to take more of a leadership role and point things out, so please be open to what he has to say. Thank you. -Some other notes: -Belltime each night is 8pm. Please be at the venue by 5:30pm. -Sal is is getting hotel in a little bit. If you are flying in, we'll tell you where to go soon to hang out. Brandon Tolle is arranging all the rides. Please get with him on rides. If you don't hear from us by tonight, let me know. -Please remember the EVOLVE rules when it comes to: -No swearing -Nothing derogatory towards minorities, women, ethnicities or any other groups. -No piledrivers.neck bumps, apron spots, anything that drops you on your head. -Nothing hardcore without permission -No unprotected headbutts -No mic work without permission -Be super nice to kids -No guests in your hotel rooms! We are not going to pay for an extra hotel room cause someone is your ride or you are bringing someone along. We arrange three per room. We are not budgeted for more hotel rooms. No one gets added to these rooms. It is for the comfort of everyone in the room. -I will send out booking info late night. This weekend is going to be mostly about wrestling. We aren't going to go big into storyline stuff or angles during this transition period. I want everyone to really concentrate on their matches, think of the fundamentals and making everything solid and make sense. -If you need anything call or text me [number redacted]. If you can't reach me and it's an emergency contact Sal at [number redacted]. I look forward to a fun weekend. Thank you, Gabe
  11. In the past couple of days I've added Booker T, Legend Killer Randy Orton and Brood Edge. I am like 350 points away from getting another 500 shirts from the Event, but I am all out of things I can upgrade
  12. I got 2 star Bronze RVD from my Flags, can't complain too much about that.
  13. I listen to Justin Robert Young who does a Wrestling podcast along with a bunch of other shows (Any other <> around here?) he also used to run a magic blog. He has said a few times that the only fans more "Smark" then wrestling fans are magic fans.
  14. I do the ring announcing for a local indy, and used to do it for another indy before I got "promoted" to General manager. I'm not a suit guy never really have been, but a nice shirt, sport coat and either a pair a dress pants or a clean dark pair of jeans works for me. Not everyone looks good in a suit, but a coat and a decent clean pair of jeans is doable for everyone. Biggest problem I have is staying tucked in when i'm wearing a dress shirt, then I lost some weight and shirts came a little tent like.
  15. anyone have a bet on how long before Cornette has a Grado rant on his podcast?
  16. So there isn't English language commentary for all nights of the G1? that's disappointing. I've tried the Japanese commentary, but just can't do it. Maybe thats an improvement they can make for next year
  17. I think I heard Cornette say it was Gary Hart that first went through the severity of the Mists, Green Burns, Red Blinds and Black just straight up kills you.
  18. I may get caught up to this thing by December....it's a embarrassment of Riches!
  19. Just watching Night 1 and can someone explain to me why we have 2 tag matches back to back between members of the same Faction? the matches were good, I just don't see the point of them
  20. I'm surprised there hasnt been more talk about Indy's streaming they're shows on Twitch. Groups like Wrestlecircus seem to be using the subscription model (subscribing to the channel) instead of doing the IPPV route. So far I've watched Wrestlecircus and Hoodslam on Twitch and it looks like it could be a great way to get eyeballs on shows. It may even help the crew some as at least Wrestlcircus is giving whatever "bits" (Twitch Currency) directly to the performers in the ring when the donation happens. Apparently Twitch sees big things for Indy wrestling on the platform, as they try to become more then just the video game streamer.
  21. http://awfulannouncing.com/fox/report-katie-nolan-likely-jumping-espn-possibly-soon-fox-lets-contract.html Looks like Katie is heading to the Worldwide leader
