  1. Founder's Day Directed by The Bloomquist Brothers. Starring: Naomi Grace, Devin Druid, Emilia McCarthy, Amy Hargreaves, Catherine Curtin, William Russ. It's being billed as a political slasher movie whatever the fuck that is. The BBs directed She Came From the Woods and I really enjoyed that, so I am going to check this one out when it drops in January 2024.
  2. Normally I hate on DE add-ons but that map of the Sword Coast probably rules and is worthy of framing and wall mounting in my den of geek. I might consider spending the $80 I have in M$ on the DE.
  3. ‘The People Under The Stairs’ Reboot Being Penned By Ezra Claytan Daniels For Monkeypaw & Universal If it were anyone other than Jordan Peele producing this, I'd be worried. Yes, I know that sounds a tad racist.
  4. Imaginary Directed by Jeff Wardlow Starring: DeWanda Wise, Tom Payne, Betty Buckley, Taegen Burns, Pyper Braun I want to like this, but Wardlow is the director of a couple of Blumhouse shitburgers including the Golden Raspberry nominee, Blumhouse's Fantasy Island. I will be cautiously optimistic and hope that this movie is the turning point in his career.
  5. I will be like eighty years old by the time that is released.
  6. Just returned from The Marvels. It was not the greatest but it did not suck, either. This movie definitely would've given the events of Secret Invasion far better context if it had been released before that series. Mid-Credit Scene was kinda awesome. I think I was the only guy in the theater to recognize the Binary costume. I was amused by the alterations they made to Binary's costume to make it more modest. I am sure Lashana saw the original suit from the comics and was like "I'm not wearing that shit." So, the potential Young Avengers roster as it currently stands is like Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye Kate, Ironheart, and Ant-Girl? The anti-women neckbeard critics of Woke Disney will not be pleased. Not sure why it bugged me that the Khan's relocated to Louisiana. I think it would've been more MCU if Damage Control had shown up to rebuild their house. I think that Dar-Benn was a superb villain that deserved more mileage. I'm kinda bummed that she's dead but totally agree that they universe is better off for her perishing. She was a gloriously genocidal psychopath that definitely had the best reasons for doing the worst things. Dar-Benn was an excellent foil for Carol who also had the best reasons for doing the worst things.
  7. Thanksgiving has like a ridiculously high RT Freshness Rating right now. My head says that Eli Roth is involved and I should hate it, but I am going to see it anyway. So this will be the third feature length movie that started off as a mock trailer in RR / QT's Grindhouse, including Machete and Hobo with a Shotgun.
  8. But he's still at the helm Wonder Man, Shang Chi 2, and the Disney+ show, American Born Chinese. I think he may have just had too much on his plate, so he stepped away from Kang.
  9. So that is where Ricardo Bosch has been hiding for the last seventy game hours.... Fuck me.. Another fetchit... To add to that, I really should've checked inside the House of the Enlightened earlier my the game when I was going around being the Well's premier Samaritan.
  10. Directed by SJ Clarkson Starring: Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb / Madame Web Sydney Sweeney as Julia Carpenter / Spider-Woman Celeste O'Connor as Mattie Franklin Isabela Merced as Anya Corazon Tahar Rahim as Ezekiel Sims God, if you thought The Marvels looked bad, your bar obviously was not set low enough.
  11. Time to pop in some PiL on my Spotify until I can watch the glorious end credits on my 4K UHD if they ever get around to making a remastered version. The re-release in 2009 was unrated, thank God.
  12. AFAIK, the original print was discontinued as the filmmakers lost a plagiarism lawsuit to Fleetway Comics a while back. Apparently Hardware was too close in tone to a illustrated short story entitled "SHOK!" by Steve MacManus and Kevin O'Neill. It appeared in Judge Dredd Annual 1981. I am uncertain if Hardware was ever re-released with updated credits giving MacManus and O'Neill their props.
  13. Of course it is and I have worn the Mark XIII hoodie that I got from Redbubble on Christmas Day every year for the past three years.
  14. I haven't seen The Marvels so I am unaware of the tone but yeah, Monica is the daughter of Carol's wingman, Maria Rambeau. I'd think that any relationship between Carol and Monica would be like quasi-familial. Now if you'd told me that it was Maria and Carol that might've had a relationship that was more than friendly, I'd be inclined to believe it as I'd assumed that it was Carol and Maria that raised Monica.
  15. I suppose that's true, but I'd rather receive accolades from respected industry enclaves. When E3 and G4 still mattered, I felt that whatever got E3 Best of Show or G-Phoria GoTY was a huge deal. VGAs don't really carry weight with me, but they have gotten more things right than wrong. I am still baffled on how Sekiro beat Outer Worlds for GoTY in 2019, but they did have the good taste to pimp Disco Elysium to the moon.
  16. Speaking of Christmas. I give you the very red band trailer for Terrifier 3. This fucking shit has no boundaries at all. I would be impressed if I weren't also completely revolted.
  17. It got a nom for Best RPG but it's in there with BG3, Lies of P, and Sea of Stars, and honestly it should probably lose to one of those three games. Game Awards use to be a filler program on Spike TV so I am not sure why we should be offended or even care about Starfield not making their GoTY noms. I'd rather my new game make the Best Of or Top 10 lists of some industry standards instead.
  18. Even Krampus? I am not sure if we can continue to be friends if you start dissing Krampus.
  19. Which always reminds me why the casting in Barbarian was so great. You are waiting for Bill Skarsgård's character to do something sketchy because of his casting in IT!, and you can't wait for Justin Long's character to die violently because reasons.
  20. It was to be expected. I love the game but it suffers from the same woes as other Bethesda titles.. I am kinda baffled that a new IP was not nominated over a bunch of sequels, but Starfield got the Golden Joystick GOTY for the XBox plaform so it's not like the game will go completely unheralded.
  21. It's a Wonderful Knife Directed by Tyler MacIntyre Starring Jane Widdop, Joel McHale, Katharine Isabelle and Justin Long. Now showing. Came out on Novermber 10th. Sneaked under my radar because I've been on night duty since last Thursday. Well, now your Black Christmas / Krampus double feature just became a movie marathon.
  22. The Audience Score is like mid 80%s. Working graveyard over the weekend and finishing up my shift on Monday morning. I'll get a health / wellness day off on Tueday, so I will check out a matinee after I mend my body clock.
