  1. We use those aluminum plates quite a bit at work. I don't know how thick the ones they use are, but I'll guess 3-5mm. My best guess I'd say somewhere between 15 and 25 kg depending on how thick, which is what, 30-50 pounds?
  2. Looks like the finish was messed up judging by Axiom's reaction, but otherwise they both looked great. Osborne is UK wrestler Turbo Josh Terry who was on NXT UK some, but I don't think he was signed at the time. He is also dating Bea Priestley. I don't know why NXT doesn't do more with Level Up, they have SO MANY wrestlers who need ring time. I looked at Wikipedia recently and (not counting injured, main roster and yet to debut trainees), they have something like 25 women alone.
  3. I'm guessing Tony's seen some preliminary numbers judging by how he's going insane on Twitter.
  4. Everything I've heard about this makes it seem like it's going to be a complete whitewashing of them all. Just a normal happy family with a lot of bad luck.
  5. Bron has been in a "putting people over on his way out" phase for a while.
  6. Three major knee surgeries, plus ring rust from not working much. Add to that it's probably going to take a long while before she regains confidence that her knees are going to hold up.
  7. I'm surprised at the reaction I'm seeing online to this, which is pretty universally that Lola has it in the bag. Yes, Lola is over to the people in the NXT arena, but Kelani is the one who management has a rocket strapped to. The speed she went from LVL Up debut to NXT featured storyline (working with a main roster performer no less) is pretty much unparalleled. And then when Dana got released they pivoted and had her working with a veteran like Blair at a PLE (pre-show, but still).
  8. Lights Out match with Wendy Choo was a lot of fun as well.
  9. No TMS, but we did get a couple of wildcards in Jakara Jackson and Ariana Grace. I call them wildcards because we have no idea how they will be slotted. Will Jakara get the big push because she's in a featured program or will she get jobbed because she is mostly a tag team wrestler (so far). Grace was in last years tournament, but has since been out with a knee injury for almost the entire year. Will they give her a big push, or take a wait and see approach? The totally unknown is Jaida Parker who hasn't even been on LVL Up yet. I would assume she will be a jobber, but you never know.
  10. A possible wildcard would be Olympic gold medallist Tamyrah Mensah Stock, should they decide to debut her here. Otherwise your picks look good.
  11. Nope, that's Tiana Caffey, she changed her social media last week. Whether she keeps that name now is another question
  12. Reddit got it from the Observer board, whether they got it from somewhere else or made it up I don't know. That place is AEW's TNA-Asylum (the Billion dollar TV contract story started with one of their moderators), so it certainly wouldn't surprise me if it started there.
  13. Xavier Woods? I seem to recall him and Tyler Breeze talking about FCW in a video recently.
  14. Add Brooklyn Barlow and Ikemen Jiro to the list.
  15. Yeah, she's the only one so far I care about in a "I want them on my TV" kind of way, but like I said, apparently she asked for her release.
  16. There was a rumour a couple of days ago she asked for her release.
  17. Others seem to indicate this means Raw and NXT moving. I'm sure Raw will get a good deal, but will anyone pay up for NXT?
  18. I'm sure they will have some releases now that the merger has gone through, simply because that is what WWE has always done and it seems they have held back from rocking the boat pre-merger. I doubt there will be mass-releases, and I expect they will wait for contracts to expire when it comes to big names. I do wonder if they will take this as an opportunity to get rid of some "job for life" types (I'm looking at you Tamina Snuka) and blaming it on Endeavor.
  19. Even though I like them, not sure I see any of the women getting hired. None of them are surefire stars, and NXT is overflowing with talented women right now. Among the men, Richard Holliday and Jay Malachi seem the consensus picks.
  20. Honestly, I don't think training is what she needs most. She's been in AEW for what, two years (?) and she's barely worked any competitive matches. She needs to be on the house shows working long(ish), called in the ring matches with solid experienced workers.
  21. Not true at all. Don't know about Hulu, but Peacock/WWE Network air them the same week as they're taped. Speaking of LVL UP, I've been catching up and I was really impressed by a Lola Vice vs. Valentina Feroz match from about mid-July. Really fast and smooth grappling with some terrific kicks. Obviously it's not going to be four star match or anything when it's 5 minutes with no big moves, but I thought they both looked great in it. I'm still a few weeks behind, but of the new debuts I've seen, the one to look for is Karmen Petrovic. Great look, and while her matches have been very basic she looks smooth and confident.
  22. In the same interview where she talked about wanting to do a ladder match and a steel cage match she specifically mentioned wanting to do Elimination Chamber, so I would expect her back for Mania season.
  23. Meltzer posted on the board and he indicated, while not outright saying so, that Rush is out of contract.
