Well it only took me about six years and close to 150 hours, but I finally laid Persona 3 and The Answer to rest. I'm so glad to have finally beaten the game.

I'm Watching King of the Ring 2000 and Crash and Kurt had a fun little semifinals match. Also amusing to see Brisco in drag coming out to Real American.

I think they did

I'm watching on the PS3 right now and there's no commentary for the woman's match as well.

Man there's a few films that would be fun to do remakes of. A modern take on The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue could be fun. Or a remake of the Blind Dead movies. Really from a US perspective remaking any fun Euro-B-Horror movie could be worthwhile. And of course since it's been remade into everything else, Yojimbo as a martial arts film starring Tony Jaa.

The Panthers should sign Devin Hester and then trade him to the Bucs for Vincent Jackson. That strikes me as a very Lovie thing to do.

Man, one of the first compilation tapes I ever bought was Highspot's Best of Shocker tape. I think it pretty much was the whole Mr Niebla/Shocker/Mr Mexico fued; but it ruled so hard. The thing is that even though he's a mess these days he can still bring the awesome from time to time.

Lovie is already bringing his special brand of offensive idiocy, states that Josh McCown is his QB.

Opening Matches on Major Cards
GojiColin replied to Thomas Bugg's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
It probably popped into my head just because I watched it a few days ago, but I was shocked at how good Dean Malenko vs Scotty 2 Hotty for the light-heavyweight title was at Backlash '00. The crowd was ridiculously into Scotty, hated Dean and just went nuts for everything that happened during the match. And the finish was an awesome mega-death finish too. That had to have been the best match of Scotty's career. And given that Dean's name has popped up a few times, is he a contender for King of the Opening Match? -

DVDVRMM: R1 Match 17: BIG E. vs. TITAN
GojiColin replied to jaedmc's topic in 2014 MARCH MADNESS (Archive)
I can't find a video of the 07/09 title match with Averno, but that was real good. Also, the other great Titan match that comes to mind (versus Polvora) just barely falls out of the time frame.- 47 replies

That Bucs uniform is fucking hideous. At least we'll have the creamsicle throwbacks.....oh wait.

If this is in regards to my comment, I think you may be misunderstanding me. My implication was not that religion was the cause of his problems, rather that he might be inclined to listen to someone who was very outwardly religious and a major figure in the NFL. I mentioned Dungy because, having read his auto-biography I know he is very religious and I know he's dealt with losing family. It just struck me as something he'd take up as a personal cause. If this wasn't in regards to my post, well then I need to stop posting before I have a cup of coffee or four when I wake up I for one approve of any draft that has the Bucs not taking a new Quarterback. I thought Glennon was a nice surprise last year and feel he deserves the chance to be a starter under Lovie's regime.

Man the undercard for Backlash 2000 was so much fun.
-
Man there's something really creepy about watching someone's life unravel in what feels like real time. Hopefully one of the "men of god" in the NFL that have some sway reach out to him before the headlines go from sad to fatal. Shouldn't this be right up Tony Dungy's alley?

DVDVRMM: R1 Match 11 Neville vs. Terrible
GojiColin replied to jaedmc's topic in 2014 MARCH MADNESS (Archive)
It's a shame that Rush vs Terrible for the belt falls just out of the voting period; I was all set to post it. Oh well it's still an easy vote for me.- 26 replies

DVDVRMM: R1 Match 2 BRYAN vs. DALLAS
GojiColin replied to jaedmc's topic in 2014 MARCH MADNESS (Archive)
I realize I am pissing in the wind here, but I am voting for Bo; simply on the fact that I find him a more entertaining character. That is not to say that DB is not the better wrestler, or has had better matches; it is just that right now I'd rather see Bo on my TV more then Bryan.- 38 replies

I really enjoyed the match itself, I like how they dovetailed the major feuds at the time and tied it in to the McMahon Saga. I thought the little alliances made sense in the match and JR did a great job of driving them home. I think it was at the part where Shane comes back and has a side-brawl with Vince that it started to take a little of the air out of the match. But to be honest the McMahon Saga was as much of a part of the WWF as the wrestling, so it certainly made sense to be there. If I had watched it when it came out, 18 year old me would have been quite the angry internet wrestling fan, Now though I really appreciate Triple H's role in the match. He was really great as the conniving opportunist.

I realize that I am 14 years late to the party, but the main event of WM2000 was fun up until McMahon-a-mania ran wild on it.

What I want is a Way of the Samurai game, but on a massive sandbox scale. I want there to be tons of factions to work for, I want every fighting style that existed and cool ones that never did. I want the option to be anything from a wandering swordsman, to a bandit king, to a loyal vassal, and everything in between. I want the game to last several generations, so that you can build a legendary family, and so that your relationships with NPCs have lasting impact.
