  1. Rampage is quickly becoming my favorite show. It moves fast, has some really good matches. Tonight's show was just fun and the promo was on fire. Old school make me want to buy a ticket.
  2. I see all of this as getting the books as right as possible for a sale to someone. But seeing this as a movie studio, where the stories are the important and the characters inter changeable.
  3. Have to think after these last few days the EVPs at AEW are feeling like their decision to not sign with WWE is an incredible decision.
  4. Eva feels like a throwback to the 90s when WWE would hype something big time (see Mantaur) - then it would not work at well and said person was gone before you knew it. Ember Moon - someone who could have been so much more.
  5. FTR tried to coverup as the best they could but it was not a good match at all. And it was not on FTR. Kalisto splits was a great visual but it made no sense. I was not impressed at all.
  6. His return will be off the charts.
  7. It's a pretty courageous thing for Mox to agree to share it. They could have easily not don't that; the fact that we are a year removed from Brodie Lee's illness and death that AEW managed to keep totally out of the press suggest AEW could have made something up. Serious stuff, way more serious than his wrestling career. Started his book last night
  8. Britt absolutely elevated her opponent last night, which is a sign of a good worker. Britt's face when she went for her finisher was priceless - it really put the Abadon character over huge. We had two matches where the loser (Kingston and Abadon) came out hotter. Now that's the way a well booked set of matches should work.
  9. TNT has to be thrilled - getting 80% or more of RAW numbers at half the price. And some very good coverage
  10. Between Rampage and Dynamite this week that was some truly solid pro wrestling with something of well everything. 3 hours and I would argue the best 2 shows to date. Rampage - oh my. I loved just about everything - 3 matches that made sense, with good commentary. Kingston-Danielson was some serous stiff, hard hitting action. Britt - give her credit and that was a spectacle. Then Kingston-Punk could be great too.
  11. Well glad she is getting a shot here. Helps round out the women's roster. What was a real liability to me in early 2020 is now a solid part of the card. Yeah, they have some women talents who need seasoning. Irony is the time in Jacksonville really helped the women's division. Dustin Rhodes as Fit Finlay 2.0 is doing some good work.
  12. Felt the show had a bit of everything. Good promos (Black's ), good to great wrestling matches (woman's match was golden, how Deeb did not get a shot on the main roster at WWE is beyond me at this point), and then well the 4 way was just fun. I actually was laighing out loud at the end in a good way - not a ridicule but in a way that was fun. I said earlier - it reminded me of a Kurt Angle/Rock type thing. Great way to prop up Hangman, and he hit his finisher on Omega. AEW has that full build PPV in place. And less is more here. 2 hours with the roster size is to me perfect. Show flew by except for Cody's promo. But I am one to see where this goes - we have gotten so use to the WWE rapid fire build something in a week to two to fit a PPV. As long as Black gets to branch out from Cody, AEW has the luxury to let this go longer. I have to think TK and Cody have a plan. TK's booking is evolving (for the better).
  13. It made me laugh. It was so over the top it was awesome. Felt like a Kurt Angle WWE segment back in the day.
  14. Dalton Castle maybe one of those what could of been in AEW.
  15. PVZ could be a good pro wrestler; lots of public appeal. She is to me possibly a Trish Stratus star. Massive following on Instagram. She could be as good as she wants frankly. While not the bad ass that Rhonda nor Shayna are, she has some legit skills. But she is been overmatched every time out - her skills are not at the level she is fighting. But she is willing to get into the cage/ring. I think it is her most logical is pro wrestling if she wants Shayna is a legit MMA fighter with great skills. Her youtube videos are really good.
  16. Still not sure why Renee is doing this show frankly. Miesha is barely doing any work at all.
  17. https://www.barstoolsports.com/blog/3389693/i-just-verbally-assaulted-some-pro-wrestler-apparently-named-mjf-and-now-hes-my-bitch MJF bringing heat.
  18. I am enjoying how AEW is using all types of media (podcasts with Tony and Arn, and now Busted Open) to advance storylines. Nice blend of everything in a modern fashion. It's a very sophisticated but old school approach.
  19. So we get a new wrestling company which is basically a very rich guy who books like you might book with your friends - what if X got wrestle Y? But it's real - he is re-writing the rules along the way and the talent seems from all cases to get along in the back. BTW - talent getting along starts with your top guys the EVPs. Like the opposite of the Kliq.
  20. Sting winning the title in 1990 was good but Sting winning in 1989 was the moment. Yeah Sting gets a fluke knee injury. Page cashing, getting a solid run (AEW has several great ways to g0 - Page/Cole? Page/MTF ? Page/Punk?). IMO - I like heel champs as the face chasing is the story but you have to pay it off. Omega gets kicked out of the elite?
  21. I think you can get to Omega/Danielson without the title. It does not need a title, simply about who is the better wrestler. I see as a great example where both men don't need the title. Getting Hangman the title has to happen soon Or the time will have passed.
  22. The weird thing to me - the blood was actually totally not needed. From the time he bladed until they went to the finish was what 2 minutes? The match was a 20 min match squashed into what a 13 min segment.
  23. I thought Punk vs Garcia was a really good match. Garcia got everything out of it from Punk. Punk is a bit slower but it was a fun wrestling match that made sense. An energized Punk, and an energized Danielson are just plain fun as a pro wrestling fan.
  24. Ricky pulled out the blade in a very obvious way. I couldn't believe they did not edit that out but not sure they could.
  25. One company seems to treat talent like adults while company treats them like you are lucky to have a job, and we control your every movement or will attempt to. Austin Creed has managed to buck the WWE system the best. But the WWE machine tens to suck souls out of many. AEW seems to let talent play it multiple ways - some have called it a glorified indy as a dig. The freedom is what talent is attracted to. In hindsight, COVID may have been the best the thing for AEW. Daly's place was a great setting for wrestling during the pandemic. It allowed AEW to try some things, and well present some great matches. Any one remember Best Friends? Trent's Mom was a meme generating sensation.
