  1. Oh no doubt, I agree that the nostalgia angle is well-played and not without merit, however, the video LIFTED THE EXACT SAME MOVEMENTS from both games, it was totally blatant. AEW FF did it better IMHO, by saying it was inspired by and made by the folks that made those games we all loved, whilst not being direct copies. Initially once I got a console that could actually play the game (more on that later) I looked into it and decided there wasn't enough in there (yet) to interest me in a purchase. At this point, it's going to take a bit more to sway me to pay full price. As a discount? Maybe. Fire Pro is great not only due to the customization but also BECAUSE it looks like an SNES game. AEW constantly saying Fight Forever was "available on your favorite console" had me always reply with "they're coming out with one for the SNES?!"
  2. Came in here to mention this game, however, it's not a good look when you're blatantly stealing the intros from WCW/NWO Revenge and Wrestlemania 2000. They've uploaded some more recent videos that aren't as egregious thankfully.
  3. So with QT leaving, I just have one question - (again, unfortunately) IS NICKY BOY GOING TO BE OKAY?!
  4. I have to say initially I was skeptical after hearing about another tournament. However, this one has won me over quite a bit because A) there's a bunch of people in it that I'm interested in watching wrestle, B) there's going to be a lot of new and interesting matches in it, C) I love that I get to announce to my household that "EVERYONE is banned from ringside" and D) THANK GOODNESS THE ELITE ISN'T IN IT.
  5. Re: Announcers Tazz is still the best, but Nigel is slowly growing on me.
  6. YAY ABADON! YAY LUTHER! Also re: MJF's situation Max needing to find three partners, although the obvious choice is The Acclaimed, the segment with Joe gave me an idea. Hear me out on this, all three want the same thing from him, a title match, could his three partners possibly be Joe/Omega/Wardlow?
  7. Nick's mom is a worse actress then Karen Jarrett. Max's rap mentioned the Astros, Joel Osteen, and Mattress Mack, he really did his homework! Also, CALLIS IS WORSE THEN DALLAS
  8. So we getting an AEW War Games? Or Survivor Series with those eight? That was a good Collision. I liked how people still don't realize Skye Blue IS TURNING EVIL, CAUSE OF THE MIST, and it's now slightly affecting Willow as well!
  9. I just need to know - Is the Botchy Sin Cara, Sin Cara Negro, and that Low Rider dude that hung out with Haku's son separate people?
  10. The non-AEW thing takes up too much screen space so I rarely see what's going on during the show, usually I'll change the channel whilst it's on, thankfully they put up the whole thing.
  11. Already been posted https://youtu.be/T5Ed8zotgp0?si=9KcNaaqDdnE7sexX
  12. Great show, something was always happening. A couple of things to point out: It was really nice of Hook to give Tony some birthday chips Eddie vs. Murder Grandpa was everything we wanted it to be. I'm surprised it didn't go on longer Susan gets the distinction of being the first to accidentally call him Edge Why is Eddie mad at RJ? Orange looking trepadatious, was a very interesting detail Wardlow's hair was described as a "muffin top", although I said he looked like a used car salesman I know we talk about time traveling what ifs, but the thought of going back to 2010 and telling wrestling fans that Christian is going to wrestle Daniel Bryan for a championship, Paige and Edge will have matches later on, and it's not in WWE is just amazing Jay White is just the worst, he's so boring and I don't get his appeal at all. Also, they just unlocked PTSD MJF Tonight's episode a great time to talk about the philosophy of champions vs chasers vs not needing a belt to get over. Tonight I explained to my wife, Orange is the perfect champion, for seeing which new challenger he can overcome (and elevate) next. MJF was a great chaser. Toni is the perfect example of someone that doesn't need a belt to get over, she's easily and obviously done that. The women's division needs new people involved, I'm tired of Saraya and Shida being pushed, they need to be away from the title and TV, for a while. My wife asked who should be on instead, and then they showed the graphic for Skye Blue vs. Emi, and I just pointed.
  13. I'm super frustrated. AEW is coming back to Texas next week for Dynamite/Rampage, they claim to the Houston area (yay!) They're going to ROSENBERG. Population of about 36,000. To the Fort Bend County Epicenter, a county stadium with capacity of around 10,000. It's primarily used for county rodeos and such. Rosenberg is NOT the Houston area! This is beyond mind boggling. Isn't Jarrett in charge of getting venues for live events? He's doing a really poor job if he is. I really want to go, but it's about a two hour drive for me and the wife, to a place I sure don't want to go to. I really want to support this company, but they're not doing themselves any favors with moves like this. Folks elsewhere, are they booking shows in small towns or c-list stadiums also? I know when it comes to Texas, they're not being entirely genuine. I.e. when they've said Austin, they're really in Cedar Park, Dallas is really Arlington or Garland, etc, now Rosenberg is impersonating Houston.
  14. Fun show! A couple of things I wanted to point out: That was a bad crowd, I really laughed at the fact that The Bucks' own people didn't care about them, then it became apparent that crowd didn't care for anything. I HATED that manbun, but Wardlow, the state of your hair mate Also YAY GRIFF GARRISON IS BACK Sky Blue's evil TURN HAS BEGUN, did you see the makeup? Powerhouse really needs to stay away from factions, but Don has Konosuke and Hobbs? Count me in. A scumbag and a douchebag are not the same things. I'm all in on Joan Crawford Toni Stom, she finally has some personality, and the commercial plug was great! Max on Max action is definitely approved I didn't think it would happen, but I was all for that E&C Reunion Tour.
  15. It doesn't help that he's a chav. I could do without hearing him again. Never heard of TMDK, but if they got Lanny Poffo to come back from the dead and join that can't be too bad, plus they have SLAPSHOT!
  16. The begining of the end for them was when they lost Parker Boudreaux. And IS TRENCH OKAY?
  17. I liked it. I took it as scumbag recognizing scumbag. It makes sense. I'm also glad they remembered and Eddie finally got that handshake.
  18. I've always been straight edge. Never had any interest in doing any of those things, ever. Punk was my first exposure to the term "straight edge". I never knew it was a thing others did and/or had a name for what it was. He even made it seem cool to be that way. I took his whole "being straight edge means I'm better then you" mantra to heart. I really can't stand The Elite. During this whole episode, I was wholly on Punk's side for all of the developments. But this...I can't justify. It hurts to think that his wrestling career is (more then likely) over, but sometimes enough is enough and you just can't tolerate behavior like what happened. So internally I'm fairly conflicted about what happened, but Tony Khan did what he had to do, absolutely.
  19. Wrestle Me is currently giving OSW Review a run for the money when it comes to the best currently active podcast. I've thoroughly enjoyed listening to it.
  20. I know we're supposed to boo Swerve, but HE'S RIGHT! And don't ever forget that HANGMAN IS A BAD FRIEND. I absolutely love the Roderick Strong: JEALOUS NERD storyline, he's doing a great job at (finally) being entertaining. And speaking of finally being entertaining, bravo to Toni Storm, her Joan Crawford has been really great!
