Honestly though, this match was titties. I haven't watched any new Puro since 2008-2009 probably, and this is not the Nakamura I remember, but so much better. Dug the creepy sexual swagger and hyper violent knees and kicks. Ibushi looked completely "state-of-the-art" (to borrow a phrase from the 5/25/92 thread). This made me want to watch the mega hyped Tanahashi matches from the last 2 years to see what else I'm missing. Maybe take a look at Kenta/Nakajima since I really liked those guys back in 05-06 as well.

I spent more time watching wrestling than pretty much any other hobby/responsibility from 2000-2008. I was well versed in TNA, the indies and puro, and at least aware of lucha. Since then I've watched essentially no wrestling outside of WWE, except for the Madness tournament. I try to watch the matches featured in each round and take great pleasure in the arguments that are presented by each side. With that said, I voted for USA/Japan, because the chances of me voting for a lucha guy is essentially 0%. I've just never dug the style. But by all means, open this up to the rest of the world. I look forward to learning about all your favorite international wrestlers while I vote for Daniel Bryan.

I haven't purchased outside of a B&N or flash sale for a few years. My in-laws also go pretty nuts clearing out my Amazon wishlist (which is pretty much all Criterion stuff) for Christmas. Not purchasing any other blu-rays or dvds for a few years helps too. Everything else is either on Netflix or HBO at this point. There's just too much availability to everything anymore. I'd love to go back to high school and tell myself that one day I'd be bitching about having access to more media than I could consume.

I had an Amazon pre-order, but canceled it last week. Too much money, not enough time, too many games to play on the PS3 if I do find the time, etc. etc. We're all in the same boat it seems. I do think I'll be getting AC4 for the PS3 though. I don't play those games, but if you can actually ignore the story and just sail around pillaging, climbing mountains on islands, and hunting whales, well... I'm fucking in.

I'd say Johnson is obvious if he's actually ready to go. If he's not, then it's a bit of a tossup between Smith and Allen IMO. Are you playing PPR? Allen's had double digits 3 straight games and over 20 in the previous 2 in my ESPN league. Will the Jags play above themselves two weeks in a row? Probably not. At least not defensively. My question for this week, pick 2: Brandon Jacobs vs. MIN Doug Martin vs. ATL Lamar Miller vs. BUF I'm leaning Jacobs and Miller, but I might just blow my brains out with the knowledge that my first round pick is riding pine by week 7. What a disappointment Martin has been.
