Mr. Papaya

Considering ratings have been going down consistently since 2001 except for a couple years with minor bumps and they always get their worst yearly ratings during football season, people whining about guys "not being draws" when ratings are low need a collective wedgie.

The stuff with the divas still seems so tone deaf. AJ gets really over from a mostly truthful promo and they just keep booking her as a heel, with the Total Divas cast all too awful either in the ring or on the mic to come off as faces. Now they debut people from the show in-ring who are obviously clueless and untrained. It makes all the supposedly face divas look disingenuous at best. Bringing back Cena this soon is insane. Are they just going into panic mode over low ratings even though their ratings have been getting lower steadily for over a decade and NFL being in the same time slot always hurts them? This isn't good for Cena physically, and it isn't good for the product when they're so incredibly reliant on one man. I marked out so hard for Show KOing HHH I was almost annoyed. Danielson standing over HHH at the end was an amazing visual.

IDK, I'm such a mark for Danielson it might be clouding my vision, but it seems pretty stupid and shitty to have the face deal with being screwed by cutting a promo, leaving, and coming back and walking into an obvious trap. Plus I don't trust any storyline involving HHH to effectively put anyone over.

Pretty good show. Fandango getting cheered for knocking Orton out of the ring was amusing. Usos vs. The Real Americans could have used a lot more time. Can't really say I care for AJ's turn on Dolph, their group had some decent chemistry and really this just makes the double turn seem pointless. Now Dolph's back to the midcard and Del Rio's back to being a boring main eventer who's somehow always in the title scene. Punk-Heyman segment was great and so was Lesnar's beatdown. Personally thought RVD-Jericho was pretty sucky, felt like a slower rendition of their past matches that lasted forever. Cena picking Danielson went really well, bizarre seeing the show ending with Cole calling Danielson the hottest thing going in WWE, I met that guy outside of some crappy county fairground.
