Pre-Rooster Terry Taylor also used the sharpshooter as a finish in WWF

No one batting an eye at a midget college professor with a ginormous head and a floating chair was great.
How did I not realize until this week that Doc Venture and the Monarch look the same except for goatee length?
I didn't either until Billy did last week. Is this the season of the double turn?

Regarding the MLW shows: is there still a way to download them from the site or is it now streaming-only? I don't see any "right-click, save as" type links, just Libsyn players.
I get the download links under the Libsyn player for the non-premium episodes
Unrelated, but noteworthy, Cheeseburger of ROH fame is going to be on Talk is Jericho Friday.

Browsing Reddit, found this photo. Was this his initial gear back in '92, or some weird phase that I am forgetting about?
Had to have been early in his run. In the "character sketches" from the 90's that they had on WWE.com some time back, those were one of the prototypes, along with a sweet bolero hat.
Speaking of rare/weird gear, anyone remember this version of the Repo Man?
I remember an article in WWF Magazine that Repo Man was challenging anyone to unmask him with this photo accompanying said article. I never saw it on TV though.

Year One seems to be on sale once every two months or so and with good cause.
Alias is also on sale until the end of the week, check that out.

Damn it, I wish it was Mario Kart or Party

That botched leapfrog is shameful

Spivey also has a match from PTW where he and Blackjack Mulligan team up and Jesse says the same thing. It's maybe one of the worst matches I've ever seen:

The new Halloween Dana Gould Hour is tremendous. Number one, it's three hours long and it just flies by. Number two, all the guests are great, and hearing Dana and Patton Oswalt trade stories about what horror flicks they loved as little kids was my favorite part.
Seconding this. Every episode of the Dana Gould Hour is a delight but the Halloween episodes are always just a bit more special.
If you haven't been listening to Gilbert Gottfried's podcast, found here http://feeds.sideshownetwork.tv/GilbertGottfried, it's fantastic! Some recent guests include Max Baer Jr. (who is crazy), Laraine Newman (who is a big classic horror movie fan) and Vincent Price's daughter.

I just started reading the Magneto series helmed by Cullen Bunn. I am really enjoying the take on the character, but of course it is ending at issue #21 (or may have already ended. Such is life)
It has already ended but does pick up with Magneto leading the Uncanny X-Men still written by Bunn, returning this December.

Punk's Homicide impression sounds like Fred the Elephant Boy
Does he start it by saying "hello couples" and how "he doesn't play head games"?

Talking Sheet just did a show with MSL that went up yesterday, downloaded it but haven't had a chance to listen.
The MSL stuff starts around the 33:25 mark #PodcastPSA

I like MSL enough but his gimmick of being odd just to be odd and never giving a straight answer for anything is really tiresome.
Also, where the hell is this show and why does the website update free shows like a week late, if ever?
Oh man, if less MSL means more Alice, no fucking thanks. She is creepy and sounds like Underdog Lady.
She is Underdog! By saying 'Underdog Lady' shows you are no worse than Stern himself!

It seems like it's already been established that Cho can't keep up with the schedule of a monthly book. Surprised they're trying again (kinda expect the plan is for him to leave the book after one arc, but we'll see).
Cho got taken to the cleaners by his ex-wife in their divorce. He admitted on his blog that he did that awful Savage Wolverine arc to finance his most recent Jungle Girl mini-series, but I don't think those actually sold very well, if at all, so it's back to the grind of a monthly Marvel title to try to re-fill his coffers.
Maybe next he'll put out some new Liberty Meadows instead of fueling his beyond tired jungle goddess fetish.
That's a bummer about his divorce, but one would assume he makes a killing in commissions, even without travelling to cons, that he wouldn't have to take books he doesn't want to do.

It's just been announced that Amadeus Cho will be the new "Totally Awesome Hulk" with Greg Pak and Frank Cho. I give it 7 issues at most before Frank is out due to time constraints.
I like Cho, but I give him four issues before delays and one more before he's off the book completely

To be honest, I had never heard about the Argentino incident until I read about it in, of all places, Penthouse.
Howard Stern was on the cover, I remember that issue very well. A lot my pre-teens ideals were changed by that issue...

Since it's being discussed, all of Gotham Central (along with Jeff Lemire's recent run on Green Arrow) are on sale digitally starting today:

Monster Squad added today. That is all.

What's everyone's opinion of the best KOT? Or at least your favorite?
I admit that I'm particularly interested in "Mushroom Jones'" answer...
I love the BDK matches from 2010, when the Colony beat the BDK "B-team" the crowd went crazy!
2011 was where the non-tourney matches were the real standouts (Generico vs. Waltman, etc.)
The finals of 2012 (Mantis finally winning the big one) and the overall performance of the Bucks, Bennett and Maria holds a special place in my heart

Where & how you get this info?
(Other than, "I found the pdf.")
Plus, that's also a good sign the bWo will go out in the first.
All the info will be here:

the night one purchase page not only has the first three matches announced, but also a little YouTube video showing each team.
