  1. Ah, there's that First Ever NFL Start stuff. Delightful.
  2. Nine minute drive ending in a Cam rushing TD. That's picture perfect Panthers football.
  3. Thursday. September 8 Carolina Sunday, September 11 Tampa Bay Baltimore Eww, Houston Jacksonville Kansas City Oakland Cincinnati Cleveland Minnesota Seattle NYG Indy Arizona Monday, September 12 Washington Sleep. I mean SF Tiebreaker #1: points scored on my birthday (September 12) 83 Tiebreaker #2: Adrian Peterson rushing yards - 101 Tiebreaker #3: Interceptions thrown in NYG/Dal - 7
  4. There are a lot of assumptions being made in this thread that the 49ers are actually trying to win. Meanwhile they got rid of all of their talent, their second best coach in franchise history and are looking for Blaine Gabbert to be the guy. I see no evidence that they are trying to win. On a quality franchise, I suspect the Colin Kaepernick story is a lot different. I also think they draft DeShaun Watson - poor guy - and ruin him too.
  5. RE: Norman, I wanted to keep him but Dave's way smarter than me and the Washington FC definitely isn't as smart as the Panthers, so I suspect he wasn't worth the money. RE: Bosa - ehhhh. It's a crazy sport, if he wants what he wants, that's his prerogative. Doesn't seem as if he's living hand to mouth, so to me the Chargers have more to lose. They don't win anything if he stands his ground, re-enters the draft and winds up on Oakland.
  6. I blame the hook by The Weeknd. But it's been here all day.
  7. I feel like Roode is a Main Roster Guy. I don't mean it like he's a slam dunk, in fact I dunno if he'll make it, but he doesn't fit NXT for me. Give him Bo Dallas and another lackey or two, throw him on Smackdown and see what he can do.
  8. I genuinely think Chris Pratt and Bradley Cooper both have a chance. George Clooney had a chance but blew it via his choices. Which hey, making money is awesome and I can't knock it, but for someone who's as magnetic as he is, the catalog just isn't there. I think Leo is the only one. Maybe Matt Damon?
  9. I hate it. But then, I hate OKC because I always kinda liked the Sonics. And I wanted to see him go to the Celtics so somebody besides the Cavs have a shot at being in the Finals in the East. Beyond that, I guess it's a good move? Not really though, he's gonna ball out and they're gonna win 40 games. Talent is helpful.
  10. Cam's getting the MVP again. I hope his touchdown dances are twice as excessive as last year.
  11. I'll never know, my dad's an electrician, I doubt he gives me millions to start out. Also not sure how it applies to the presidency, but I guess that's because I think of it as a public service position not a business opportunity.
  12. Running things INTO THE GROUND, you mean? Or were all six of those bankruptcies unavoidable? I regret starting this exchange. The Why Your Team Sucks columns this year are really good so far, eh?
  13. I'm gonna shush before Rippa stakes us both, but... not comparable to being completely unfit for service. And also having zero experience. And ask Atlantic City residents about corruption. For the record I'm a Bernie guy settling for Hillary but I'd also settle for Mitt Romney or Al Gore or George W. Bush or pretty much anyone who has any idea how to do the job before WWE Hall of Famer The Donald.
  14. .If people cared about politics, a questionably successful businessman and reality show host with no actual policy concepts and a playbook based primarily on bragging, insulting people and racism wouldn't be a viable presidential candidate. I think even a moderately interesting Sunday Night game - Jags/Raiders, say - would mop the floor with it.
  15. Whether or not the Texans should pay him is a different discussion (they probably shouldn't, but they're not exactly a free agent destination to begin with and not taking care of Hopkins probably wouldn't help. I'd pay him, but to be fair I'm very close to the situation as he is one of my favorite fantasy players.) I'm merely saying he's wise to try to maximize his earnings as these things are fleeting.
  16. He's making $1M this season. He is arguably a top 3 WR and inarguably a top 5 WR. He could get injured week one and never get paid. He literally has to hold out here. He'd be foolish not to.
  17. Overrated. They should trade his ass.... I bet he'd like Charlotte.
  18. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000677791/article/geno-smith-im-auditioning-for-32-nfl-teams-right-now?campaign=fb-nf-sf32098873-sf32098873 GENO~! auditioning for the Jets and the other 31 teams. Any takers? Would you prefer G-Nooooo to Sanchez if you're Denver? OH MY GOD I JUST HAD THE BEST IDEA EVER San Fran should throw them a 6th rounder for Geno so we can have the shittiest QB controversy of all time.
  19. Austin was pulling in so much money he could probably whip it out in the general direction of Stephanie and get nothing more than a "goddamnit Steve, you can't whip your dick out at my daughter in front of the boys".
  20. He can and will opt out after this year - so he's not even leaving money on the table. He took these Warriors seven games. Why would he never win a title? I don't know how anyone doesn't think this makes him look bad. It boggles my mind.
  21. I've been trying to come up with the word for my opinion on this, and I think I've settled on lame. Can you imagine Jordan signing up to be the third best (Curry, Green) player on a team? Kobe? Magic? Bird? He's selling himself short, and it's unfortunate. Also less wise than he might think - if they win, big whoop, they had the best regular season ever last year, what did he do? If they lose... hooboy. I've heard the conspiracy theory that Nike wanted him there to cool off Curry and Under Armour. I don't believe in such things, but...
  22. It's a deal I would hate for someone as questionable as he is - yeah that's right - but I suppose it's a deal you have to make. Without major o-line upgrades it's not gonna be a good investment.
  23. Americans are often incredibly dumb but I'm becoming more convinced all the time that the majority of earth is dumb, we as Americans are just uniquely proud of our ignorance. The lowest common denominator is celebrated. That problem - that's what it is - is spreading however and that's how you end up with Brexit and some of the other concerning events of the day.
  24. Rose is wearing #25. Take your pick of what joke to make there.
  25. Rose, Melo and Porzingis is a pretty damn good start, even if Rose isn't who he once was.
