The way things are going with Kota and NJPW, if they can find the right money guy we will end up with All Golden Lovers Wrestling with only two wrestlers on the roster but still having four hour shows with the main event being a 120 minute time limit two out of three falls match with the third fall being like, I dunno, a game of Super Smash Brothers.

I once had a match idea that was like chess-boxing but with fighting games instead of chess.

Wrestlers would do 5 minute rounds, then play a fighting game buring the break.

Fights could be won by 2 pinfalls, 2 submissions, 1 knockout, 2 fighting game wins, or 1 fighting game perfect.

You could even do things like joint manipulation/armwork to make your opponent drop combos.

  2. My top 10

    1  Mox

    2  Bryan Danielson

    3  Kenny Omega

    4  Claudio

    5  Hikaru Shida

    6  Daniel Garcia

    7  PAC

    8  Ricky Starks

    9 Dax Harwood

    10 Hangman Page

It sucks not to be able to put Eddie or Trent here, they're awesome and 11 and 12.

I'm really hoping that whenever MJF goes for the title, it's not done in MITB or Feast Or Fired style even though it would fit his character to win in that fashion.

THe Casino chip hasn't been used as a MITB.   Would be fun to see MJF try but told it's a sanctioned match at next opportunity.

  4. Punk's injured right?  Say due to his injury occuring outside of wrestling or training in an unprofessional manner, MJF gets his title shot in 2 weeks at Grand Slam, and will win by forfeit if Punk isn't cleared to compete.  Open the show with Punk being counted out and MJF winning by forfeit.    If he isn't cleared, MJF faces the winner of a battle royal (have Stokely's crew try to rig it so like Serpentico wins the battle royal or something, but backfires and it's say, Max Caster or even Colt, who then has a great 20-min classic with MJF)  Don't burn Eddie or Wardlow/MJF for this.

The Elite aren't stripped of the Trios belts yet due to investigating and preliminary suspension, if they don't defend within 45 days of All Out, then they are stripped.

Gives you flexibility, makes logical sense.  The belt will have to be hot potatoed anyways.

With Punk, I'd eat your losses, and tell him, hey, we'll give you your contract as long as  NDA  about this for a few years, and you don't have to show up again.  By the way, NJPW wants to do a match vs KENTA, you have permission to go over there or do any other promotion you want that isn't WWE.   If the locker room wants to give Punk a second chance he can come back, but unless the locker room is ok with it, he shouldn't be back.  Guaranteed there will be folks who will go into business for themselves if Punk stays.

Handle the Elite based on what they did.  if you have to get rid of them too, so be it, otherwise I'd let it mostly slide.  I'd "suspend" them  by talking to NJPW and saying we're giving you the Elite until WK, we'd like Naito/Hiromu/Sanada to take the trios belt off them, and you can job them out at WK to Ospreay and O'Khan/Cobb.  Oh, also if you want a trio to come to the US for WK to have a match with LiJ, we'll bring someone in.  (if Hiromu's unavaliable - say BUSHI or Shingo can do it. )

Bring LiJ to America to drop the belts to someone at Revolution.

guess there's inconvenient laws factoring into this but sorta surprising that no wrestling promotions have tried holding telethons to 'save' their promotion

some indy promotions stick to rigging raffles instead

This sounds like a very special episode of IMPACT where Ace Austin does magic tricks for a half hour with Johnny Swinger as the dummy.

That was a really entertaining episode.

I'm slightly confused about the Andrade/Dark Order segment - Jose (attempted to) taze Preston, who did not react. Was he:
    1) Supposed to react, but forgot
    or
    2) Jose missed but they did the sound affect anyways
    or
    3) Make it seem like Preston was tazed, but no sold it due to...strength?

I saw it as Jose threatened with the taser to get Preston to back down.

Didn't Smokey Mountain or some other southern fed have a title where if you defended it X number of times you won some sort of prize?

NWA had this with their TV title.  7 defenses (and a draw counted as a defense) you got a world title shot.  Ricky Starks was only person to cash it in.

AEW is bloated af at this point. There's no getting around it.

Here's the cold truth about Cool Hand and Daddy Magic. I love the fact they they got an opportunity, and I like them. And it was a nice f**k you to the competition. But if they'd never been fully signed I seriously doubt AEW Dynamite would have been a worse show. I'm only singling them out because Khan mentioned them.

I understand why you sign Andrade, why you sign Cole.....but they were not needed. Andrade/Rush vs Private Party is not a feud the world was crying out for. I'm not that convinced people want to see CFO feud with Young/Hung Bucks/Omega.

Why are the Factory involved in the Starks/Hobbs feud? Now I quite like Marshall, and I think Comoroto's new look is funny - but good grief.

I'm bored of Jungle Boy vs Christian before it even began. It will take more than a good match to save it as this point in my mind. It had better be something. Christian remains a questionable signing.

I hope Tony has the guts to make some tough decisions i.e. ship some people off to ROH, and have someone else run it so he can focus on AEW, and principally Dynamite.

I still tend to think the Punk vs everyone stuff is a work. Punk's pretty content to be a jerk, but that's hardly an unknown quantity. The decision to take the title off Hangman was a mistake, pure and simple. In all honesty, I would reverse it as soon as possible.

The biggest asset you can be in wrestling is a draw folks pay to see.  I'll admit 2.0 aren't draws.  Not everyone can be a draw.

However, 2.0 has value similar to that of the Acclaimed- they are folks who can lose and stay over.  That's the second most important asset you can have as a wrestler.  Now that AEW is seeing if the Acclaimed can be a draw, you need another team who can entertain enough that folks don't care if they get their ass kicked all the time.

I have a feeling Punk is walking out victorious at All Out, but man, the roll Mox is on....I sort of want him to steamroll Punk and play it up like Punk came back too early.

I'd like to see MJF screw the match over with a posse of malcontents (I'd even try to get Stu back for it) , piss off the fans, go on a rant about TK and how he's going to ruin AEW.

Usually PPV screwjobs are awful, but this would be one that makes sense, then you do it as a triple threat, with Mox and Punk both wanting to take MJF out forever.

It was weird, that's what it was.

Though I will say, the fact that he didn't even make an attempt to pronounce "Miyu Yamashita" and stuck with calling her "that young lady" and "the challenger" was a nice unspoken admission that he just doesn't give a heck about learning Japanese names, especially since he struggled for months with a relatively easy one like "Hikaru Shida".

I watch Dynamite in a vtuber discord with a lot of LGBT presence, and they were trying to figure out what JR was smoking with that.

I'm at the point where I just want JR gone.   He's not Kevin Dunn bad, but he adds almost nothing to the show and isn't worth the money.

The real money is Tay vs A~min, where A~min makes one of her weird recruiting offers, like how if she beats Tay, then Tay has to join KISSmeT Princess, but if Tay beats A~min, then A~min has to join the Jericho Appreciation Society. Then Tay declines, A~min pouts, they beat each other up, and A~min says that Tay is a princess anyway.

But what kind of Princess is Tay?   Headkick princess?

.....so is Anna out of The Dark Order?

I was seriously expecting Luchasaurus to turn on Jungle Boy immediately, surprised it didn't happen. I really want to know what it was that Christian whispered in his ear to cause the initial turn.

Eddie should have won that match, give him his dignified win finally. It was fun, but that ending, sheesh.

It's clear dark Order is being wound down.   Silver, Anna and Preston are the folks who are gonna be ok.  (Reynolds deserves better!)

Larry Z gets slept on too often. Zbyszko vs. Masa Saito in the Tokyo Dome from 1990 for the AWA title is one of the outta nowhere great matches. Had no expectations and they had the crowd eating that shit up by the end. Smart wrestler. I'm excited to watch his Dangerous Alliance run.

He had some great TV title matches with Regal in '94 I want to say, too, right? I remember watching them after somebody here posted them and put them over strong, rightfully so.

Zybisco vs Regal 1 is one of my all time favorite matches.

Stu doesn't really have the stink of a loser on him, esp since he left on his own terms apparently.

Maybe have Tully Blanchard's ROH goons as part of his group too if he stays heel?

I was wondering what the end goal is here. Logically, MJF will probably come through the crowd and jump somebody or steal a mic or something. But then what? How do you reintegrate him back into the fold in a way that makes sense, doesn't abandon his complaints, and would make sense from the fans' perceptions of Khan's point of view? I would hope that they'd have that stuff planned out in advance, but it's definitely a tough one. His main targets in the shoot were Tony Khan being a mark and not paying him and the influx of former WWE wrestlers. Does he target them? Why would Tony Khan the character pay him more money? ?

MJF would need a new faction of malcontents.  I'd bring Stu back at a minimum to be part of it.

Yeah, this. Usually title eliminators in AEW go exactly the way you expect, but with Rosa/Miyu the champion actually lost, and as a result Miyu got boosted all the way up to #1. To me, that makes sense, because she pinned the World champion. You should shoot to the front of the line if you do that, no matter if you're 0-50 or whatever. Pinning the World champion should automatically get you a title shot.

It's insane how most of these giant corporations employ pro wrestling fans to be their social media managers or whatever. Pretty much all of the fast food chains in the US have tweeted out wrestling related things in the last 5 years.

    So- Justice for Baron Black?
