I actually love that we are at a point in the last few years where you can have an actual dialogue about Luger. It wasn't long ago where the common(wrong) opinion was that he was dogshit with no redeemable qualities. Seems that most rational fans have revisited his stuff with an open mind.
I only thought Luger was dogshit in the Russo era. His peak was his first NWA-WCW run. Even end of career Luger was better than some of the other WCW old guys (better than Nash at least)

Hard work is fine and all, but you can't prove critics wrong if your hard work doesn't show tangible results.
The NXT crowd wouldn't give her credit even if she had those results. Look at say, Erik Watts in late 90's WCW- he worked hard and became decent, but fans still remembered Success through Father.
As for CHIKARA , they have standards and stick to them. I actually applaud that, even if it means no Fenix. (and that's not a knock on Fenix)

I think 88-pre WWF Luger is what makes the rest of Luger's stuff so frustrating. He could have been really great if things went a little differently.

I may be in the minority, but I like the Pro Bowl jerseys. You old coots get all belligerent when uni's aren't in one of the primary colours lol. (I like the Seahawks unis too) I
I don't mind the Pro Bowl jerseys, but those Seattle ones are an abomination, as are most NFL jerseys these days.

Sting as Triple H superfan was the worst thing I've seen in a while; wonder if he regrets signing with WWE
Those 3 minutes or less Divas matches made the whole division look awful; Sasha getting that treatment after the masterpiece at Takeover is just so sad
Never thought I could be bored with Cesaro/Owens but bad crowd + bad announcing + having to sit through the rest of the whole made that the case
If Sting really hated it, he could have said no. Sting has always been too willing to look like an idiot for his own good. If Sting had a bit more of an ego I think he would have been greater than he was.

I don't care how a match is good, as long as it's good. One exception- I don't really like unnecessary punishment anymore- stuff that's really unneeded.

Wasn't there an Eric Young in World Class near the end?

I don't think this will hurt Seth, but I think she's done.

Although I loved and still will play the odd game of Civ V, I'm with you. I friggin' love the Civilization series and even then couldn't get into the little bit of Beyond Earth I played. It felt lifeless, recycled, and came off like a cheap cash grab.
Age of Wonders III doesn't look like something I'd enjoy. I almost always go defensive in my Civ games, trying to win via culture victory or space race. I'm a pacifist at heart. I'll say this though, Firaxis could learn a thing or two from that game's combat system. The combat system in Civ games is pretty archaic.
Civ V with all the DLC is great, but I'm with you about the combat system, it is kind of like Metal Gear Solid, where I feel like a failure if I get into a fight. Beyond Earth doesn't work as a Civilization game, because none of the characters mean anything. The best part about Civilization is that you kind of understand how the other characters behave, and you can politic with some level of knowledge. I'd be much more willing to play Civilization V in space than that bullshit...but apparently the DLC is coming and improves things by leaps and bounds.
They said that about Civ V, it didn't fix the core problem- which was the AI didn't know how to play the game at all, and relied heavily on massive resource bonuses and unfun mechanics to make up for it. (Then again, most folks play on normal so that might only matter to a small few)
TBS AI is very hard to do in general- even Stardock struggles with it, and they have a lot of skill with AI. That said, Sorcerer King is a title no one is buying that is worth buying. Really good and fun.

Try Din's Curse or Zombasite if you want that.

The ASU unis look like something Eddie Gilbert would wear to the ring.

The Young Bucks vs The Usos in a "First Team to Throw 50 Superkicks Wins" match.
I'm now imaging a Superkick Ironman match- where you win by hitting the most Superkicks in 15 minutes. No pinfalls, submissions, DQs, or selling.

I'd be afraid to run a misogyny gimmick- because it's quite possible the fans would side with the misogynist, or that real life threats/violence could come into play.

The New Day is so close to being the Freebirds- Kofi makes a great Buddy Roberts, Big E a solid Gordy-style hoss, and Xavier is like a funnier Michael Hayes.
-
The one guy I always liked was Chris Adams, to the point I marked out like hell when he beat Savage on Thunder and no one in the dorm I was in had a clue why, they just saw him as some JTTS.
I enjoyed him best when he was beating up Kevin.

Well, unless we rank yachting really high...
So Cap'n Mike Rotunda is brought in to feud with the Champ?

Ambrose and Reigns should never turn on each other. They should just be mid-90s Luger and Sting. Ambrose can do the shady shit while Reigns is oblivious to it all. They can have miscommunications here and there but they never fully turn on each other. Sometimes I think RAW would be better if they locked the writers in a room and made them watch NITRO from 1995-mid 1998 (stop at the NITRO where Goldberg pins Hogan) Have Goldust, Regal, Kane and Hunter sit in the room and tell the writers which ideas sucked and which were good, why those ideas were good and bad and just steal all the good ideas.
That would be better with Reigns as Luger. Especially if he ends up challenging the Roadies to a Chicago Street Fight despite being from the suburbs,
-
I wonder what it would be like if WWE could sign her brothers (one of them can't get into the US)
-
Adam Rose would have done better on the main roster as Leon Kruger, though to do it right might not have been very PG.
-
Reigns "action hero" gimmick would be a million times better if they just had him do action movie clichés all the time, walking away from explosions without looking back, avenging his friend who was "one day from retirement" etc.
12 Rounds 4: VENGEANCE REIGNS!
I've been on the Reigns bandwagon from jump but I thought he was going to get by on swagger instead of being stupid and working hard in the ring. He's far surpassed my expectations. His biggest weaknesses are the writing and that he does what he's told.
Also, WWE's reluctance to move forward already. Top faces going into Summerslam are a broke down Undertaker and a broken nose Cena.
Reigns and Ambrose as Buddy Cops works so well it almost writes itself.

When I was in college , no-selling because part of the vocabulary for any sort of immunity of pain/damage.

All Edge needs for me to start using it is adblock.

What's the cutoff for Icon status? Sting? Jake the Snake?

And the world's most dangerous (and unrealistic) giant swing.
Nah, that's Raiden in Wild Ambition.\

I'll admit I think the Miz is pretty good, especially during his title run, Probably one of those guys in 20-30 years who will be viewed a lot more positively than he is today,
