  1. Belly to Bellys rarely look good. even Magnum's looked kinda weak to me as a kid. If she did it faster with a bit more snap, I'd like it more. She has the guillotine choke as an alternate finisher for Nia- I'd like to see her use that one a bit more to get wins on non-giantesses.
  2. They might do better as singles- Gable at least would be an instant star in the cruisers, and Jordan would do fine for himself as a single.
  3. I think the best bet for them would be a position as henchmen to a top heel. Have them cripple folks with tag team moves- that will get them over.
  4. The minor league teams aren't really for selling tickets, they're reserve/prospect teams for the big league teams. That makes it different. It's just like how the D league is, it's not meant to be the English Championship. That said, with the concussion stuff, the cable TV market about to implode, and the general mood of the young in the country, among other things- I think football in general is going to decline slowly but steadily the rest of my life- and basketball will be the top winter sport, and summer sports will be a baseball/soccer split, with some hockey in the northern states (but less than you'd think). I also think political trends will hurt football- it's going to become associated with the part of America that's dying off and that's gonna turn off some younger folk- soccer seems to be more culturally aware. I do think baseball is going to continue to be a conservative sport- but also more Hispanic in nature. Baseball seems like it's got some inoculation against the death of cable as we know it potentially with MLBN, and since baseball's a local sport- they prob could sell single-team packages for $150. Vince's best bet really for his own sports league would probably be a combat sport. Go after the UFC directly.
  5. How would reinjuring a damaged knee be Joe's fault here? This looks like coincidence not anything Joe did- though that may not matter.
  6. They did it during the attitude era with Jericho and Chyna briefly.
  7. If you still have a PS3, it can be bought digitally for that.
  8. There's a reason his fanbase in the US is largely composed of anime types and fighting game players who get pleased by the same schtick. I saw the broom as more mocking and somewhat NWO Scott Hall-ish than a cartoony character. Cleaner though to me is a #2 in a stable character not the head honcho- more like an Arn Anderson type. (now I wonder how ugly an Omega/Arn match would be in terms of styles not working together at all)
  9. I think it would work if it was someone like the Miz or Ellsworth- and they get the shit kicked out of them by the two who double KOed themselves before he comes in.
  10. I put him around where Sting was, which was around where Savage is. Some of that is the fact Cena and pre-Crow Sting have had very similar careers and very similar ability. If Sting had been the one to go to WWE instead of Warrior, Sting would have been a franchise until the attitude Era- and then probably would have reinvented himself and gotten a few more great years. Throw Cena into Sting's time and place and he'd get similar results as well. As for AJ- he's limited because of his age. Already pushing 40 so he's peak now- he will slow down very soon. A slower AJ can still be great, but he won't be HBK-level.
  11. A bit unrelated, but thinking about New Japan World, what sort of weekly content do you get there- would be getting it for the 1/4 show of course, but is there a reason to keep it afterwards?
  12. Would you guys be saying this if the Network had even fewer subscribers because enough fans said we don't need WWE because the booking is that bad? Bryan probably sold network subs- though who knows how many stayed, and we also don't know if business would be any worse if WWE depushed Roman.
  13. Folks still wouldn't care. They shoot 205 Live afterwards so folks if they didn't want to leave would stay for that. Plus you end the show early USA would be upset. It won't work.
  14. You'd see the fans cheer the heel harder in such a case, they want the face to lose. They aren't booing the face without a reason to boo the face. The burying the WWE did, it probably cost them business.
  15. I think people say pre-WWF Luger is good, it's WWF Luger and beyond who wasn't as good.
  16. To me Miz's growth is astonishing- his passion for the business is so obvious for me, it's just in a different way than say a Bryan Miz-Bryan would be one of the few things I'd get the network again for. It's such a ready made and perfect feud that really has been built ever since Bryan's debut on the original NXT.
  17. I don't think anyone ever said both of them wouldn't be big stars. Jeff peaked earlier and brighter- but Matt's had a more sustained career until this reinvention.
  18. For some reason I thought it was some skateboard/Ouija board combined thing, which would make him a Oompa Loompa Dark Dynamic Dude.
  19. What's wrong with Kobra other than her being a bit green? Remember hearing she only has 1-2 years of experience?
  20. You can give BIg E a solo run without breaking up New Day- UWF had Gordy on top while Hayes and Roberts were underneath a bit.
  21. Was thinking of Benoit and how he ended up being a great brawler which few expected with the Sullivan fued. Has that ever happened in reverse- can anyone think of garbage wrestlers/brawler types who ended up showing they were great technical wrestlers unexpectedly? I'd mention Flair as someone who was unexpectedly great at garbage wrestling based on his couple of ECW appearance (the WWE ECW not Heyman's)
  22. The problem with ending feuds these days is without other territories , it's hard to rehabilitate losers of blowoff feuds. Some folks are bulletproof and that makes them super-valuable- people like Ambrose, and even Austin was like that- he lost more than a few blowoffs, but you only have so many draws, and losing a blowoff can damage drawing power. Even shuffling them off to the other brand might only work so many times. I'd argue it's even worse in the women's division because there's no secondary title. This is an area where WWE's lack of respect for secondary titles is infuriating- it would be a great way to elevate folks who have been blown off- after they love their main event feud, give them a run with the IC/US belt to build them back up: those belts should alternate between rehabilitating folks and up-and-comers.
  23. To use someone else's move like that, I think you gotta meet two criteria 1) Gotta be in a different fed obviously, unless there's some sort of angle being set up of move stealing, or there's legacy involved. 2) Gotta be roughly on their level. What made Disco/Juvi so dumb was that they were nowhere near the level of the rock- they were midcarders. Arn taking Jake's DDT worked becaue Arn was on Jake's level (how many other guys were using the DDT at that point besides Jake?) That said, I don't know if they were in at the same time, but wrestling missed out on a Barry Windham vs some Von Erich feud over the claw. Did Fritz and Blackjack Mulligan ever feud?
  24. THe funny thing is the spot that screwed up her neck and eventually forced her out was on a TV show, not wrestling.
