  1. Yeah, I really couldn't tell if he'd added pounds or not. 2.0 looked a lot smaller before AEW, too... I loved how AQA took moves; great physical charisma. Kinda thought she had it with the Shooting Star, but i guess i'm gulliver... as for Matt Hardy...drug test that fucker. NO ONE WALKS OUT; that's Bill Goldberg Russo-era SHIT~
  2. Has Keith Lee always been that big? edit - also, Cargill looks awesome out there.
  3. I'm hoping they open the show with the World title match and have a competitive affair with Lance Archer going over as champion. Not for any great reason, though. I just want to hear a dismal Tony Schivaoni shake his head and say how the darkest day in AEW history has come upon us (every time that the topic rears its ugly head he should say those exact words). And then, Jim Ross can tell us the grim realities of what happens when a Murderhawk Monster takes the reigns. He would probably just refer to Archer as "one big boy, one mean boy" though...
  4. Keith Lee has a lot of upside, I think I just missed where being completely and utterly smug became something that people cheer for? If he turned heel, he would not have to change a thing about his personality, just get someone else to come out and tell him to shut up. I do realize though, there may be a beastly side of Keith Lee that we have not really seen and the potential within a Keith Lee heel turn is great.
  5. Man, what a lot of Will Ospreay hate. I understand he may be a tad Peter-Pan out there, but come on, it's Peter-Pan! Best thing since Spriggan! Dangerous! That said, Zack Sabre, jr. also, Spriggan.
  6. I thought Nigel got cut, but I guess he may have been their baby not their bathwater... *ahem*
  7. lol RUSH showing up as AEW's very own Barbaro Cavernario who refuses to play nice would make the roster so much more Dynamic. Bring Barbaro in, too; love to see what these guys would do with Sting and Darby.
  8. Word. I think it was just a number of people who were on the Cena-doesn't-actually-suck bandwagon (which gets me thinking maybe their feud was in '07?) and Orton will always have his followers among those who can stand him (did the Foley match maybe take his willingness to play away from him or something? Seems like he peaked way early)... Again, not trying to put them down but WWE-style is like a spell when you're under it. I enjoy Charlotte matches as much as the next guy, but I kinda gotta say at the same time that she's insufferable.
  9. So Tony Khan's Forbidden Door tweet got me thinking, 'maybe he knows how to make everyone happy', especially with the part about whoever being free to slam the door on their previous company... Suppose, just maybe, it is for Cody's contract signing. Except it's so that he can re-sign with WWE and slam the door on the AEW fans who don't appreciate his greatness. And he's moving on to the only place where he can be Stardust, so everyone wins. Damnit if Khan's previous tweet doesn't put things in context though because he does say there will be an AEW debut. But man, who wouldn't wanna see happy/sad happy/sad sad/happy sad/happy schizo/bipolar Cody Rhodes every time they decide to pull the plug on letting him be Stardust until he spontaneously combusts into actual stardust because WWE needed a heel and plain Cody was their only go-to... I can even see a strange phenomena of fans booing Clark Kent Cody Rhodes until he dons "the suit" and appears as Stardust, to which no fan will boo.
  10. I remember Cena and Orton getting love in these parts around '05 or '06 or whenever they had their big SummerSlam feud, but I could NOT be fucked into watching. I kinda feel the same way about both of those guys; it's always cool to see what they bring to the table, until you realize there's better reasons to watch wrestling and I think Cena/Orton is a match I've still never seen. Anyone here still like that feud? Seems like those two deserved to main event Wrestlemania together but they never even believed in them that much, did they?
  11. Dang, get him away from Disco and the Cuban! joking, they may be idiots too, but I don't follow wrestlers backstage personalities.
  12. Not that I know who we're talking about here, but I think it's fair to assume if you rolling with Glen Gilberti, you gonna feel free to be ultra combative...I'm not sure if stealing or plagiarizing counts against someone who's even been in the same room with K-Dogg either. He's an OG.
  13. Holy shit. Really looks like woulda killed a dude with that, uh, swanton. Really seemed to be having fun out there, even if he was displaying homicidal tendencies...
  14. He is if it's personal this time
  15. I thought Trevor Murdoch would be a great surprise! Put him on Rampage to attack JD Drake for no reason at all would make the undercard must-see. I might even put on an episode of Dark to see those two tangling like it's 1987. El Hijo del Vikingo is another one I thought of. Make him the conscience of the babyface division -- friend to all except those who turn a blind eye to the Ass Boys. Pairing up Juice Robinson with Chris Jericho is a great idea and makes a ton of sense. The aging rocker and the young hippie need to cycle up to keep things moving. Plus, Juice is with Impact still, ennit? That would explain the Forbidden Door thing. Plus, there's Toni Storm... Other idea is The Briscoes! Or The Finlays! Have Brogan announce that he's All Elite AND he's staying with ACTION~ HELL YEAH
  16. I'm guessing you've seen more Jay White than me and I like what you're putting down. I'm all for him showing up and showing up everyone on the roster. I think it'd be good for business so long as he's All-Elite status. I figure, whether or not he's the type to carry a broomstick to a 3-star match, he has the look, the energy, and the experience to come in and play the ace of the aces. I know he can come in with his highlight-reel style and just get better from working with Danielson, Madking, Punk. I imagine Christian and Matt Hardy can get a few good shots in on him, too... Makes MJF look bad? Good. Sign Jay White as a Flair if MJF's just a Lawler. He'll have his day if he deserves it. It'd be cool to see him outshine Cole and further add drama to the Elite. Make Bullet Club-USA an nWo-sized shitstorm and make Jay White the one they bow to. It'd be like fulfilling my dream fantasy of seeing Scotty Riggs rule the day~ And if his rise to the top becomes a little too inevitable, then bring in King Kon...I mean, Keith Lee to make everyone settle down a bit. And if you really want him to get over, sign Jeff Hardy to just follow him around like a grateful Deadhead who's SO retired he doesn't even do promos anymore. But instead of having him to do the occasional Sting reappearance in the ring, he could perform his songs for Jay White intros at specialized WM-type concerts. I mean, if that's what Jeff really does, let's see him do what he loves from now on. I think AEW fans, and whatever small herd of NXT fans who might now be watching to see Undisputed Era, would love to see Jay White and Will Ospreay come in like Sonic and Knucklez restore balance in a sense. Make NXT vs NJPW a thing that happens in AEW. That would get me to watch a freakin' Johnny Gargano match. That would turn it all up a notch.
  17. Jay White sounds like a way better addition to the roster than Jeff Hardy or Ali. Can't see many people who would stand alone like he could. Can't see him getting along with anyone really, and it wouldn't affect his confidence.
  18. You got me there, I don't even know what album "Butterfly" is from. And I'll spare y'all my thesis as to why "Butterfly" is a great song, but it is. It just is...
  19. Except he's never heard of Crazy Town, he just LOVES that song "Butterfly"...
  20. Anyone ever seen Shane McMahon and Super Dragon in the same place, same time? Really might put things in perspective for how they were saying he was an "asshole" on Saturday...I mean, did he flip anyone off? Did he call someone a motherfucker? Maybe Brock should have taken a curb-stomp or two; he could have still won the Rumble...Bitches...
  21. Incorruptible. Letting cooler heads prevail, I think.
  22. I would have thought MC5 be in by now. Were they not actually from Detroit?
  23. Speed can be so powerful it makes you wanna join the Kiss-My-Ass Club. Sounds like he was begging for it.
