  1. Maybe the Ass Boys are Bullet Club material; I am perfectly willing to dream... I wouldn't mind seeing the Good Brothers in skits and such, but in ring, they should only come in to job.
  2. I like Penta's big-bad-voodoo-daddy vibin'... wasn't always worth sitting through, but last few times I've seen him, he seems to be enjoying himself while putting the work in. Maybe we'll see more Brody King in this match.
  3. Sad. How do they fuck up an Elias? He must be a real weirdo backstage or something...there must be reason to this madness...
  4. While I think Malakai should shoot to the top soon and get his title victory, I can only see Buddy coming in as a Kings of the Black Throne Hunter. It can go not so successfully for him and then, he can run into Kazarian who can take him under his wing and start their forever friendship master/apprentice dynamic that we all need to see in our wrestling.
  5. So I'm catching up on last night's episode and I'm so impressed with Jay White's promo, I am wondering if they're gonna have him stick around? I don't see how they can merely tease having a guy with that skillset and confidence level unless he's gonna knife-pervert in and out of AEW like some flying one-man nWo or become a roster member. Also, love what I'm seeing from Hobbs and Martin. Those two have fight-forever chemistries going on b/w them, although I see Hobbs going further in the long run.
  6. I mean, yeah. They didn't know what to do with Thatcher, Busick, Hero, and Joe. They don't care if the fans chanted Wallllterrrr (for years) for unknown/indie Gunther. They probably thought Gulak was Danielson when they booked him against Danielson, who I'm pretty sure they thought was Roddy Piper or something, so they really don't know what they currently have in Gulak (but we can still hope...) ... who cares if Rollins, Riddle, and even Styles don't measure up? They shouldn't volunteer to play cartoons with a real life Sloth (admit it, WWE is still that cartoon movie and Brock is born of Donner's Goonies. He's such a goon!) Really just makes you wonder how Vince feels that Austin AND Rocky just fucked off and left him with Lesnar and ... that DX guy... Personally, I thought Styles looked great in there, but I don't think he's ever been on Lesnar's level. With Superman booking he's there, but he can't even get right his Superman hair.
  7. Still weird to me that Lesnar is one of the greatest in-ring talents ever and they've had him working squash matches for how long now?
  8. I am surprised that I couldn't find any reviews of Biff Busick's return to Beyond Wrestling. Everyone's disappointed about the handshake that followed the match, right? I mean, I liked the action in the match. Busick looked better than ever (talkin' grandmasta-sexay), and I was really buying SLADE as a walking-snuff film: the announcer used the word "snuff film" like three times, which did make me uneasy (who needs a reminder that snuff films exist?), but SLADE outbled the great Oney Lorcan and really came off as a madafaka of sorts, so it was cool. Why accept a handshake, though? Where's the money in that? The match had so much story to tell, but the aftermath kind of made them look like actors. Almost anyways; I did enjoy Biff's speech, he looked great smeared in red. Edit - oh yeah, and welcome back to the real world, Mr. Busick. So glad to have you back. They were right, you never lost it.
  9. I'm 5'7" ... that's why I wanna see Quiet Storm destroy everyone and everything. It just makes sense to me.
  10. lol if Jay White is only here short-term, an angle versus Danhausen would be the bomb. Totally take it into left field and put the biggest signing on hold for a B-movie (comedy/horror?) storyline that could possibly explain White's sudden absence. Hexes and vexes and curses and shit. I finally got the bright idear to tape Rampage, so am gonna see what this late night AEdub is about.
  11. Shane: "Guess what, Dad(!)...Dad? ... Daddy?..." Vince: *snnoorrrt* Shane: "... ... ... oh you have got to be kidding me..." Vince: "Yep, son...I have got..."
  12. Today, I guess I'd say because he was just a mean old man without a mommy. At the time, though, I was just scared shitless of someone who would actually do prison for a living. Taker was so brave to stand face to face with him. So brave.
  13. Would love to see Evans in WWE. Not that I would watch, but still, knowing that he's actually getting booked is great with me. Can't see how he wouldn't get over. Maybe go back to his old look. Would say they should sign Angelico, too, but I don't know if that sort of math computes in E-Land.
  14. I have had some good friends from Cobb County but I gotta imagine CCCF is not the place you wanna find yourself at. Certainly not a CCCF that's living in Big Bubba Bossman Ray Traylor the Guardian Angel's shadow. Hell no.
  15. I wish I had the brain power to dig into MLW, Papa Dean. Gotta share a TV with the folks, go to school, do the homework, watch the dogs, make sure grandma's not left alone, and find a job soon (since donating plasma 8 times a month is a scary prospect). But yeah, Vikingo and Ricky B. do make me wonder what the fuck I'm really living for... you should do a DVD500 on your own. And if they all tie for #1 and best, you technically don't/won't have to list 500 of them, just however many had the power of 500 in any given year. I want LABELS and COMPARISONS; no high, lengthy criticism~
  16. Come on, now. Everyone knows who Sammi Callihan is. I could see him dropping a title to Hobbs. He might be ready by that time and could use the rub. Really can't see him dropping a secondary title to just anyone.
  17. I was thinking Lee should skip the TNT title and go straight for the main, but the idea of Big Show and Henry betting on guys who answer open challenges would be shweet. It can start with JD Drake, then move on to Bojack, Broner, Hoodfoot, Ron Bass. Eventually bring in Trevor Murdoch and let them go to an honorable TLD. Just when he and Murdoch are gonna shake hands, out comes God's Own Singer or whatever he's called. Miro vs Lee should be saved for a rainy day and then for many rainy seasons after that. Once Lee has proven to be King of the Monsters, then move him into the title picture and see how he gets along with the ninjas and dangerous small folks. Here's to Keith Lee's health because I can see him sticking around for a long, long time.
  18. I'm a little disappointed that Jay White hasn't been declared All-Elite yet. I get that it might not happen, but I realized I've never sought out Jay White matches and there are very few full-matches of his on youtube. I liked his ROH match with Ospreay, but don't have much to say about it. That belly-to-belly into the ringside barrier was insane. Like, first thing I thought was, There's no way Ospreay agreed to do that. "You dive and I'll belly-to-belly you nice and flush against the barricade." "You will? Ok..." One of my favorite fair-fight exhibition type matches. I watched his ROH Vegas street fight with Punishment Martinez. Can't remember Martinez's current name. Julian Martienez? Damien White? Damien Sandow? Don't care. Martinez -- can't remember what I liked him doing in this match but I did see some upside toward the end. Basically, he moves as slow as Kevin Nash until he does a spin kick. Or a crazy dive. I'm thinking, Dude, it don't matter if you got a nice spin-kick, you slow. I did like Jay White hanging with him, though. Jay does valor very well all clean-shaven in white. Also got a look of recent Jay White when he took on D. Garcia in NJStrong. This was another great showing from Garcia, but it totally got me interested in this, uh, White rabbit-hole. I feel like I got time returned back to me. All that time I wasted on HBK and HHH. Jay White seems to be same height/weight as HBK, but most notably as strong as well. He seems like a heavyweight in some respect. And in this match, he succeeded in ways I feel like I saw HHH fail at too many times. It really seemed like he was waiting for an opening, rather than waiting to squash someone. He didn't seem bored or eager to sell the beating he took from Garcia, he just seemed like, Eh I've been here before... I think Jay White is my favorite 'moves' guys. I really buy that his unique offense is effective and appealing from a visual perspective. Gonna look him up on dailymotion next.
  19. Maybe Briscoes can just buy tickets and sit there like Raven, Al Snow...it would please so many people. what kinda snacks do they sell at AEW shows?
  20. I overheard Schivaoni saying, "He wiped his ass right out..." Wish I knew what the hell he was talking about...
  21. I like the Hangman/Bret comparison. Regardless of how this title reign goes (good so far, ennit?), I get the feeling he will always have to prove himself with some smart inside-cradle or flippy-do off ref Aubrey's pony-tail sort of magic. Always uphill for a 21st century cowboy (who's not in sex-work, I'm guessing)... That bump on the ring-steps, though. Yeesh.
