  1. I'd be genuinely curious what the market would be if somebody started an imprint releasing the uncensored versions of all those softcore films that USA Up All Night and Cinemax featured back in the 90's. There does seem to be a market for this stuff: the few softcore titles that got DVD releases years ago go for big bucks on Ebay, and there were a lot of complaints last year after Full Moon licensed a bunch of stuff for their streaming service but it turned out to be the rated/censored versions. Like if Mill Creek, who's releasing the Andy Sidaris flicks on blu-ray, if they put out a Shannon Tweed collection, would that sell?
  2. Stadium Stampede was dumb. Not as bad as any of WWE's "cinematic matches," or the Undertaker "dying" at Royal Rumble 94, but the replay tent, Page riding a horse, golf cart, NEO 1 drone, etc. put it at about the same level of stupidity as Team No Respect urinating on the FMW promoter, or Prince Kharis in SMW. Excuse me, I'm going to rewatch Cactus Jack/Maxx Payne vs. Nasty Boys from Spring Stampede to get the bad taste out of my mouth.
  3. That would require them actually having Jungle Boy win a big match on occasion.
  4. Joe Rogan and Patton Oswalt talk about the WWE:
  5. Happy to hear that Stumptown got renewed, sad to hear that A Million Little Things was. AMLT is easily the worst of the This Is Us rip-offs. Single Parents could have been a good series if they'd focused on Brad Garrett and Leighton Meester as the main couple, with Taran Killam's character either being more of a background character or written out entirely.
  6. Well that's easy enough. You can start season 2 with Joan announcing that because of COVID-19, she was forced to sell the SPRQ Point and if the entire staff wants to keep their jobs, they're going to have to relocate to the new corporate HQ in...Milwaukee!!! The show can then pivot to focusing on the wacky hijinks of a group of self-absorbed hipster Millennials being fishes out of water as they deal with life in flyover country!

  8. Question: Why can't they just call Grayson and Uno the "Super Bash Bros.," or will they get sued by Nintendo for something like that?
  9. Washington state school leaders are talking about weird shit like rotating kids into certain school buildings that can be easily disinfected for a few weeks of classroom study, than rotating them out for a few weeks of remote learning while another group of kids rotates into the buildings. Most parent groups are all "fuck that shit" becuase they won't be able to babysit their kids if they are back at work, and lots of the poorer, rural districts couldn't afford it, or their students couldn't afford high-speed Interent or iPads. In the end, I think it'll probably end up with kids going back to school as normal.
  10. So, after Apokolips War, is WB Animation abandoning the straight-to-DVD animated film concept entirely? This was billed as the "grand finale" for the DCAU.
  11. That womens match just completely fell apart, and Nyla looked really green and Not Ready For Prime Time, especially on the botched superplex through the table. I'm not sure what the original plan for Saturday was, but hopefully tonight convinces Omega to take the belt off Rose this weekend so she can spend a year or two training and developing before being put in a high profile spot like this again.
  12. https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/batwoman-ruby-rose-exit-1234612077/ "According to multiple sources, Rose was unhappy with the long hours required of her as the series lead, which led to friction on the set. It was thus decided by her and the network and studio, Warner Bros. Television, that they would part ways."

  14. You know, Herb Kunze, of "Herb's Tidbits" fame. I want one of these wrestling conventions to fly Herb in and do a panel where Herb is at the podium and does a move-by-move breakdown of all the "greatest matches" since he retired from wrestling fandom in 2001: Misawa-Kobashi 3/1/2003, Owens-Cena, Omega-Okada trilogy, Moxley-Omega, Amazing Red-Ospreay, etc. I would fly to Starrcast just for that panel.
  15. Justin Roberts: "...and NEW AEW World Heavyweight Champion, BRODIE LEE!!!!!" Jim Ross: "It took Aubrey Edwards being knocked to the arena floor, and outside interference from the entire Dark Order, but Brodie Lee has won the AEW Championship!!!" Tony Schiavone: "You gotta give Moxley some credit, fighting off all of the Creepers before Evil Uno threw a fireball into his face, setting him up for the Boss Man clothesline...."
  16. If Cody/Kenny/The Bucks would start booking the promotion as if it was "New Japan USA" instead of doing their own version of "sports entertainment," like many people thought they were going to do when AEW was first announced, than a lot of these complaints about using former WWE jobbers would disappear. As it is, I really wish they would have held off on putting Brodie Lee in the main event. They should have spent at least six months having him squash guys and rebuilding him before trying to have him challenge for AEW's "world" title.
  17. Jerry Lewis showed up on an episode of the original Password last week. Weird to see an A-lister on there.
  18. Batman: White Knight and Curse of the White Knight are both really great deconstructions of Batman. Probably my favorite interpretation of Harley Quinn and I hope the next DC reboot uses this characterization of her.
  19. https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2020/05/16/people-flock-to-nyc-area-bars-beaches-as-quarantine-fatigue-intensifies/amp/ Not sure why some of you insist on turning this into a political issue. Seems to me like EVERYBODY is tired of "shelter in place," regardless of their beliefs.
  20. Was Capone a movie Hardy did for the art, where he could ham it up as a dying, senile mobster. Or was it a movie he did for shitloads of money/the studio would only green light his passion project if he did this film?
