Raw Is I Don't Fear That Bitch - 2/26/2018
Cristobal replied to Dolfan in NYC's topic in WWE PROGRAMMING
She's here to show the world. -
Resume the feud on 205 Live, an idea to boost that show's viewership with fans of NXT who don't watch it.

If they want Bryan to go heel, smack them upside the head, demote/fire them, and replace them with someone who can read the fucking room. No one wants to boo Bryan.

What the hell show did I just watch and how do we make sure we never get Raw back instead of it again?

Marvel Phase III Movie Discussion Thread
Cristobal replied to RIPPA's topic in "COMIC BOOK" MOVIES & TV
Goldblum and Blanchett did pretty good turns, comedic and badass, respectively, in Thor: Ragnarok, too. -
When you said "trying to get me to change careers" I was assuming this was an "asshole customer" story. Glad that wasn't the case.

FEBRUARY 2018 WRESTLING DISCUSSION.
Cristobal replied to The Natural's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
At King of the Indies 2001, I sat near a couple of Asian kids (about 13) who were cheering for Low Ki because they thought he was Asian. I'd have let that go, but another dude pointed out he wasn't. So they decided to cheer for Super Dragon instead -

ENZO AMORE IS MOST LIKELY A PIECE OF SHIT
Cristobal replied to John from Cincinnati's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I am genuinely uncertain what issue you were having with what I was saying. The criminal justice system, which is rife with abuse, corruption, and self-serving selective enforcement, is at its worst in this area. I am however not advocating for lynching Eric Arndt. (Maybe an ass-kicking wouldn't be the worst thing in the world but it's not really a solution for any larger issue.) And that's just the most obvious example. Victims who go to the police are pressured to drop charges, change their stories, etc. Lawyers decline to prosecute, judges suddenly worry about rapists' futures, etc. In short, abusers cover for abusers. -

You don't really have to reinvent modern jurisprudence. There is active, systemic resistance within the criminal justice system to dealing with sexual assault even in the way it deals with other serious crimes: Almost 850 Untested Rape Kits Found Growing Mold In Austin Police Storage Over eleven thousand abandoned rape kits found forgotten in a police storage warehouse in Wayne County, Michigan Thousands of Rape Kits Remain Untested, In Storage in Indiana In short, evidence was collected from alleged rape incidents and ROUTINELY HIDDEN AWAY in departments across the country. Accusers' attempts to prove it are actively stymied by the police. -

I have no idea what you are attempting to say here. EDIT, since you have: I can generally be counted on to have some degree of smart ass present, but Vic, you really REALLY don't get to bitch at other people for tone. -

And: A conjunction. Used to connect words of the same part of speech, clauses, or sentences that are to be taken jointly, in this case, the idea that the criminal justice system is unacceptably poor at dealing with sexual assault AND vigilante justice is not a good alternative. -

What if both lynch mobs AND the police are bad, possibly for entirely different reasons? -

The good news: A step forward in rocketry. The bad news: A billionaire launched his convertible into space because while this may not be the worst of all possible worlds, it is most certainly the dumbest.

FEBRUARY 2018 WRESTLING DISCUSSION.
Cristobal replied to The Natural's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I think Corey and Nigel's best positions are as heel color guys. Corey is adaptable enough to be the babyface color guy, (and he's kind of been forced there every time Booker lurched to the heel side of things,) but really Tom was more effective on his own pushing back on Graves. Cole can do that, although he isn't as effective as when he can step in when the heel guy is going too far. If it's an angle, (which doesn't really make sense if it is, because Corey can't get in a fight and/or get his comeuppance were he to undertake some sort of heel manager role) then whatever, but if it's not, Booker's response is entirely out of line, even if he excluded all the places he's likely to actually come into contact with Corey. -

What hole was that? (phrasing)
-
The Becky/Bliss portion of the match was pretty standard for WWE, with the heel controlling the majority of the match. Braun/Zayn was a squash because Braun has the rocket strapped to him.
-
I mean I haven't watched a sport yet where the hardcore fans didn't have strong opinions on commentators.
-
I like Booker for a lot of things but he's a terrible commentator. Can't even follow his own weird takes from show to show. Corey had to constantly pivot to work around him, and at some point just stopped because it was pointless.
