  1. It could be great news for the older fanbase AEW is trying to attain. Remember, the Attitude Era was under TV-14 ratings.
  2. So it’s official...AEW will be TV-14 rating. Great news for the fans but I wonder if AEW will have trouble drawing sponsorships to their programming?
  3. With how bad WWE’s MITB is tonight I think any mistake or hiccup AEW might have had in the last 24 hours don’t mean a dam thing come May 25th at DON. This better be rock bottom for WWE.
  4. Jake Hager. Hager wins with submission ankle lock because of the injury Page sold in England vs PAC.
  5. Oh really? Of course Cody wrestles. I was making a comment on you wanting to make him a heel. Cody should stay face for the foreseeable future for reasons I have stated above..in my opinion.
  6. Simply because you need your heels to be the wrestlers...not the company. Heels can’t become true top heels in WWE because they stay in the shadow of the Authority. It dampens everything in WWE. AEW can’t possibly go down the same boring ass road WWE has gone down over and over again.
  7. Please no Heel/Authority Cody for AEW. Cant be anywhere close to that storyline.
  8. Very odd of AEW to tweet this out right now. Another minor mistake.
  9. I agree. However the seriousness of this mistake by AEW is being blown up. This should only be a bump on the road, not a canary in the coal mine type of event. But we shall see.
  10. But PAC has not signed a contract with AEW. This is the point. AEW put a heavy investment into a character for their 1st PPV in an important slot and the character has not signed with AEW...does not have an AEW contract. I agree this is not a good look for PAC, which is why I thought this was a work. But it’s not a good look for AEW as well. Again, hopefully, AEW can create a positive narrative/storyline out of all of this and not get hurt too much.
  11. Ok, I just listened to Dave Meltzer’s Wrestling Observer and it explains what happened. AEW did not have a problem with PAC going over Page at DON. But it didn’t have PAC winning all his matches short term and PAC couldn’t agree to this booking while he was champion of another promotion. Thank goodness AEW was willing to have Page lose at DON...this comforts me a little bit. But AEW dropped the ball on this one because they should not have had PAC involved in AEW’s first PPV if PAC wasn’t “all in” on the AEW promotion. There are going to be many ups and downs for AEW. This was one big down going into their first PPV. Hopefully they can give us something big with Page which makes us somewhat forget about this promotional botch right out of the gate.
  12. I agree. Page is AEW’s future star. The guy is incredibly talented and connects with the fans on a level you don’t see that often. But Page shouldn’t be pushed so quickly. He definitely can take losses and should have taken the loss vs PAC. I don’t think this can be about 1 match. It’s either a work or PAC has told AEW he can’t take any losses for 2019 because of his position in his promotion.
  13. I just figured Moxley would do a run-in on Jericho & Omega match and take them both out to end the show. If this whole thing with PAC is not a work I wonder if they know right now what they will do with Page?
  14. I’m not buying it. Why would AEW send over Page to England and have PAC standing over Page while mocking him and AEW as Page sells an injured ankle if this isn’t about pushing PAC’s bastard character?
  15. You make a good point. Why do the “creative differences” work? But at this point nothing makes sense to me because I can’t fathom both PAC & Page agreeing to do this match in England at this time unless it was a work for DON.
  16. I’m hoping this was a creative way to explain PAC not being at DON because of a visa issue.
  17. I guess I’m looking at Page differently than most posters. To me he is a mega star in waiting. The guy has the IT factor. Page easily connects to the fans. I don’t know why they would feel the need to rush Page to the top?
  18. I just can’t see PAC pulling this right now with the reputation he has....this has to be a work to play into the reputation PAC has at this time. I also agree with the sentiment that AEW/Khan would not have booked PAC to lose at DON. Page is a long term project who is going to be a star in time. No need to put Page over. Im probably way off here...and if I am I will deserve the grief given to me...but this has to be a work.
  19. This has to be a work. I’m not buying PAC would even bother doing this match with Page if it truly makes PAC look unprofessional in doing a no-show at DON. Its being reported PAC injured Page’s ankle at end of match making PAC look like even more of a bastard. If PAC was leaving AEW this match in England would not have occurred and PAC wouldn’t have bragged about not coming to AEW at the end of this match. This is a magnificent work. The Bastard being the Bastard. Page being injured to where whomever is his opponent at DON will be put over. Absolutely brilliant.
