  1. My advice would be to look into it and determine if it is actual vandalism or messy maintenance. At the cemetery my parents are buried in, cemetery workers have to drive over the graves every so often. It’s not really possible to get machinery in to every area to fill in fresh graves or mow and expect them to drive around every single headstone. I’d prefer if there weren’t tire tracks across the marker when we get there, but that’s happened a few times. I’ve talked to the cemetery about it and feel like they’re being as careful as they can. They normally go back and clean up if they drive on a marker. As long as they don’t damage the marker, I can live with it. Occasionally, I do a little cleanup but it’s not an issue for me. Things happen.
  2. Xbox One X Cyberpunk 2077 console was delivered today. Been wanting this one for quite awhile, but kept putting it off for various reasons. Not my favorite limited edition console or even my favorite XOne limited edition, but it’s a really attractive design, Honestly, I like all the Xbox One S & X designs, even the vanilla black and white models. X One is easily my favorite looking console of the past ten years. Was a little late to the party on it, but the combo of appealing console designs, good third-party games and backwards compatibility have made it one of my favorites ever. Too bad I think the Series X is unappealing and generally dislike the direction Microsoft seems to be heading (all-digital, Gamepass, etc.). If Microsoft really does move to an all-digital console later this decade, I’ll probsbly just stop buying Xboxes. i’ll shove an internal SSD into the Cyberpunk console if I ever play it, but that may never happen. Currently playing the Project Scorpio model with an internal SSD and an external SSD added. Not quite up to Series X and still inferior in some ways to Series S, but the gap is small enough to suit me. If the Scorpio wears out, I’ve got a NBA 2k20/Hyperspace model ready to go (another great looking console design).
  3. Sound bites from Harden’s self-serving press conference today did nothing to convince me he’s going to be happy being the third option for the Clippers. Apparently, Harden is not a system player, he is a system. Anyway, Clips are going to at least be interesting this year. That’s really all I want out of the NBA. Dysfunctional teams are at least as much fun to follow as good ones.
  4. I’m fairly annoyed that the trees on our yard lost relatively few leaves in October and instead decided to lose everything all at once when wet, cool weather set in. Amount of leaves this morning in yard looks like more than I cleaned up during the first 29 days of the month. Truthfully, this looks like a job for whatever lawn service I decide to call during lunch.
  5. I wonder what Harden’s Plan B was if the Sixers had said “Sure, get on the bus”.
  6. The games may be good, but I think it’s going to be hard to interest fans in the Series. Personally, I feel like this is one of the blander matchups you could get for the Series. I’m closer to a hardcore fan than I am a casual, but i don’t feel like this is going to be must-see tv. I’ll probably catch at least a few of the games, but if I have something else to do or watch… I’m looking forward more to the offseason, which always stirs up a little drama with free agent moves. lol, maybe MLB should take a page from Vince’s book and do a phantom title switch. Don’t play the games, just head straight into the off-season and whip up a Wikipedia page saying Rangers won in six or whatever. Supposedly, most casual fans have trouble remembering who won the previous year even when the games were memorable,
  7. Is it just me or is Booker kinda terrible? I don’t feel like he adds much or puts anyone over and he’s often more distracting than anything.
  8. I’m not a hardcore fan, but Morty’s new voice is close enough to the original that I’ll probably never give it any thought. If I didn’t know they hired a new voice actor, I’d pay no attention to the differences. Split Rick and Split Jerry switching hairstyles was my favorite gag in this week’s episode.
  9. This is probably going to dash a lot of people’s hopes and dreams.
  10. Going to play Metal Wolf Chaos this weekend. I’ve owned a couple copies of this game over the years, as well as a couple Japanese Xbox’s, but this is the first time in a long while I’ve owned a working copy of the game and a working Japanese Xbox at the same time.
  11. Colorado’s more hype than substance at this point, but I will be surprised if Deion doesn’t keep recruiting “dawgs” (his word) and build a world beater a few years from now. He’s tapping into something and kids are going to keep showing up to play from him. Assuming he stays in Colorado, of course. I’m less certain about that.
  12. Houston QB had an interesting game. Four ints in his first eleven pass attempts, followed by sixteen straight completions,
  13. I intended to watch the Phillies last night but found myself watching more of WVU-Houston. 2nd half was very entertaining. Game saw nine lead changes with two coming in the final minute. Final minute also saw two 50-yard touchdown passes. Holgerson wasn’t particularly popular with the fan base when he left (he wasn’t fired; he quit and left the Big 12 for a Group of Five school, lol), so I expect a lot of WVU fans are nursing ulcers this morning,
  14. I think everyone named is going to be exclusive to Ghost Machine once they wrap up current commitments. At this point, I am sort of rooting for Waid and King to leave DC so I can stop giving that company my money. Big Two have very few writers or artists who can sell me a book. I am guessing it won’t be long before I stop reading Marvel and DC almost entirely (though Hickman just started writing a few Marvel books, so…).
  15. Tony Khan appeared on Dan Le Batard’s show and told Dan he really did fear for his life for a moment when Punk attacked him, so I’m not expecting TK to hire Punk back until football season is over. Gotta get that Collodion rating up!
  16. Lol, get ready for a lotta “Shake it Off” jokes tomorrow.
  17. This is my take, but he’s not as young as he used to be and his reputation isn’t what it used to be. I definitely think he exercised his player option after last season because the free agent market wasn’t what he hoped it would be. I suspect he’ll get what he wants (Clippers) or something close to it. It will not bother me at all if he find himself trapped in Philadelphia. on the other hand, Harden in a Clips uniform would be really interesting.
  18. I met Feinstein a few decades ago, back when I was young and liberal. I was quite impressed by her. Live and learn, I guess. Got to save something for Biden’s reelection campaign.
  19. Have any sales figures for the AEW game been released? I watched someone play it for a bit yesterday and mostly feel like you have to obsessively love AEW to spend a lot of time with it. I’ve having trouble imagining casual gamers staying with it in 2023. I’d be interested in talking to the developers, though. A lot of the design decisions seem curious.
