The Titans came to play and the Chiefs are doing what they sometimes do in big games. If they don’t tighten up they will go on to do what they sometimes go on to do in big games...lose. That’s why Cris Collinsworth’s overselling of every positive Titans play, with a reference to the time time the Titans beat the Chiefs thrown in, is so bad. He is worse than late 90s Tony fucking Schiavone about this.

The Bills will be fine. I don’t know what the Rams were thinking. They played Prevent on the last drive and just gave it to them. On offense before that they threw a pass with just over a minute left. Meanwhile the defense they played all game wasn’t much different than Prevent. They gave up all those short passes by design. Had the Buccs not dropped so many of them they would have blew the Rams out. It also doesn’t work when your own offense doesn’t score. The idea is to force them to go deep but they never had to because it was always a 1 score game.

The Eagles won similar to how the Bills won Sunday, which is how truly good teams win their winnable games. They went out there and just won like they knew what winning was about. It was nothing fancy. The Vikings have to do that to the Commanders in they want to be considered to be in the other 2 winner’s league IMO.

I think I’ve mentioned it here before but there was a Samoans vs Pillman and Z-Man match on WCW Pro I think, that had 3 or 4 very clear politically incorrect chants from the crowd lol! Here’s something I loved - I loved nasty nasty things in wrestling that were done so that they weren’t nasty just to be nasty, or bush league, or...well hell I can’t explain in. There was just something I couldn’t stand about somebody saying “shit” on TV in 1998 vs somebody saying racial slurs or seeing an incident that implied that somebody died in 1989. I suppose it was a combination of innocence and ignorance, which have similar spellings ???

77-0 Bills didn’t quite happen, but a voodoo upset dang sure didn’t happen. The Bills ran the ball traditionally more than they ever have under coach and Allen. It’s as if losing the game never crossed their minds and they were just running the ball to move on to Buffalo. Meanwhile there are a few more people than usual acting like it was some kind of indication that they’re frauds because they didn’t put 77 up. That game was never in doubt.

It was that On the Road segment...ugh it was painful to hear for all of the 2 minutes as a WCW mark who was still fighting the good fight for them. And it wasn’t much better as a neutral I would imagine. A guy doing a segment that wasn’t - which was his only job. Then when you changed the channel you saw WWF doing something that was making people absolutely lose their shit. I don’t remember anybody actually hating Scott Hudson and I seem to remember people being glad that he was on Nitro and mad when Tony took back over. Him actually raising his voice on Nitro sounded pretty cool. He had sort of a lower note JR thing going on. I guess there were people who watched Worldwide or something and misjudged him though.

I think I said it in last week’s thread but there has been some serious voodoo going on in the automatic wins for good teams games this season, so much that it wouldn’t even be an upset if GB won. It would just be the continuation of this linear voodoo model that we apparently have happening. With that said, if there is no voodoo this game could be 77-0 Bills.

I’m not a Matt Ryan fan at all. That play where he tried to avoid making a tackle on a pick 6 only to get ran over cattle stampede style is something that’s a part of his legacy in my mind similar to Tom Brady being tackled a couple of weeks ago. I don’t think he’s a HoFer. Eli is in for the 2nd biggest upset in history IMO. I think Ben is overrated but who are we kidding he’s in. Idk what the big deal is about Mike Evans when Brady has high fived officials during games.

That was a good match. Lee Marshall was a good announcer who is misjudged for having the dumbest, most useless segment in this history of wrestling. I’ve mentioned it before but one thing I loved was the C team announcers talking history on the C shows.

Why didn’t the Packers try the Hailmary? I’m the biggest Rodgers critic but he was always good for a heave. It has to be that be can’t do that anymore. Otherwise that was one of the dumbest play calls ever. The laterals never work, not even against the Commanders who were seemingly trying to blow it. The Bills could beat them 77-0 next week. There has been some voodoo in the air with these automatic games yes, but one more dose of it is the only way 77-0 doesn’t happen next week IMO.

I think the CMC trade is good for the 49ers and CMC and bad for Carolina, which I realize is the opposite of everybody else’s opinion. The 49ers like having a bunch of fringe skill guys spread out. CMC is perfect for them. He might even turn out to be underrated because Carolina’s offense is straight pee wee. The Cowboys have only been getting roasted about that the most because they’re still relevant. CMC won’t be a workhorse in this offense so that should eliminate him getting hurt and when he does get in there he’ll be doing something besides run up the middle vs a run blitz. The 49ers have to win now if they’re going to win with Deebo and Georgey Porgey because those guys don’t have time to wait on the 49er’s future draft picks IMO. If the 49ers were building that way heck they would be trading those 2. As for Carolina, they’re in disarray. They’re not a few draft picks away and it was stupid to trade away their star even if he’s not exactly a rookie either. They have no coach and no nothing and it’s only week 7.

This is one that the announcers atleast tried to mention every once in a while. They would praise the ref for letting it go so we could see that match, get a real winner etc. So it didn’t bother me. It was also similar to my point about Tony telling Bobby to shut up. Count outs were on every card in wrestling for such a long time and they were often the reason a fan walked away thinking “that was so stupid I’ll never watch this crap again.”

I have my own opinion about it that I think makes sense, but it’s not a popular one. The nice version is that I think they were both guilty of a few things, and both victims of the disaster that was WCW. Add all that together and those 2 guys had just seen enough of each other.

I loved Tony cutting Bobby off and telling him to straight shut up. I know I know they didn’t get along in real life and some of those shut ups were “real.” I also know that that stuff held them back as a team in the long run but at the time I loved it because it was a breath of fresh air. I’d grew up with heel announcers absolutely owning everybody on commentary, even when the perfect comeback was obvious. Of course the face announcer never pulled the trigger on it because that was part of the work but I’d had enough of that lol! It was fun finally seeing the heel announcer get dealt with.

It’s one of the greatest little tiny things in wrestling when done right, but it was so bad and such an embarrassment sometimes lol!

Here’s another one lol when the wrestler demonstrates how the other wrestler pulled his tights, and does it so that it looks more like he’s demonstrating an exercise. Pivots his foot, turns his hip, grabs his own tights, then fake reacts to his tights having been grabbed lol!

Just like somebody said every Lawler match, there is also every WCW match from the same time. Lawler and the WWF got away with it because people bought into either whatever else they were hyping or the fact that Lawler was saying something funny as opposed to postprime Bobby Heenan. Meanwhile it was so bad in WCW that people just accepted the fact that it came with the territory. So add all that together and you have enough ifs and buts so that it all still worked out. But the Hardcore Lucha match was worse the usual for sure. That match has lived on through the internet for that reason. It still comes up on every forum, Podcast etc.

The announcers used to mention that they were surprisingly good together, had chemistry, etc. Idk if they do that anymore. I hated the overuse of street sign language. Not Diamond Cutter, DX type fun stuff that was done interactively for fun. I’m talking about how a fuming mad wrestler would yell to the ref while doing hand, arm and foot signals explaining how somebody ran into the ring, hit him with a chair and stole his valet. He would jog in place, do a chair swing with his arms and snatch the valet away out of thin air lol! All while yelling at the ref lol!

These games aren’t hype machines, but there will be good games and the heat will be off the chain for the ones you’re invested in. The struggling teams want to win the winnable game, the middle teams want to take the next step, etc. I don’t have anything to say about Brady’s drama, let alone anything to judge him about concerning that drama. There’s plenty of that to do over the wussiest unnecessary roughness call I’ve ever seen. I hope he takes a shit the rest of the season. Why is Tomlin stuck on Pickett? He sucked besides that first drive and Trubisky is a big reason they won that game. Claypool’s numbers are being overanalyzed. TEs numbers go up and down depending on the quarterback. Vernon Davis was an example and he was always good.

By being a football player from Florida State from the years 2010-2017. Except Dalvin Cook. They are all mental cases overshadowed by the Manti Teos and Vince Youngs. Jimbo Fisher is a monster overshadowed by the Urban Meyers and Bobby Petrinos. I’m a Seminole fan. I know what I’m talking about lol!
