  1. It didn’t help Joe and Troy that they were forcefed the same primetime games every year. Cowboys Cowboys Cowboys. Then every now and the a Packers vs Bears game all those years they were competitive, just never during the same season. Then towards the end when they atleast got some trainwreck fun games (Packers vs good NFCW team) they didn’t know what to do with them lol! Kenny Albert’s deadpan comedy interjections have been pretty ace lately. Camera gets a shot of Ken Dorsey...”Ken Dorsey knows the camera is on him at all times” the just keeps talking calling the action lol!
  2. It’s cute how the Cowboys are doing so much flexing. They’re going to get embarrassed Rodgers style in the playoffs IMO. Of course that might actually be an upgrade over how they got embarrassed last year in the playoffs.
  3. I didn’t get to see the end so assuming the Lions didn’t play Prevent, they played a good game and lost to a good team. Meanwhile the good team will probably continue to lose some of their support because they almost lost this game but the truth is the Bills are still 1 of the best teams and somebody might beat them, but that somebody won’t be a good team that’s on the ups. It will have to be the Chiefs, Eagles etc. We haven’t seen the last of the Bills. Or the Lions. They’re almost there. As for Rodgers, I’d go as far as to say that he’s experiencing the least sympathetic losing season by a veteran quarterback ever. Think about 2005. Every week it was people just plain crying over Favre. Not 1 tear has been shed over Fraudgers. I’m not complaining. I like it lol I’m just pointing it out.
  4. And since he got laughed at. Alot of armchairs are turning on him. I know that happens when you’re a preseason favorite as soon as you lose a game but dang.
  5. The Lions always play the toughest team on Thanksgiving it seems like. They’re playing solid up and coming team ball but they’re going to get stopped flat footed Thursday IMO. They played the Titans that year they went 11-0, as the Lions were 0-11 ams eventually 0-16. They play the Packers whenever they’re good. In hindsight, the Lions coach is doing a good job. They lost to the Eagles 35-38 and week 1 then responded with a win in week 2. Ran into a little trouble in the middle but got it together when it looked like they were finished. That’s basically the blueprint for a future good team. Just ask the Eagles. They had a 1 game difference record at that point last season.
  6. Aaron Rodgers is on a losing streak against the Lions
  7. I think the Falcons were going to ice that game anyway. Fields was shook and the Falcons were playing a very innovative defense that offenses can’t get past even in this offense friendly era. I don’t know exactly what it’s called, but my nickname for it is NOT PREVENT. I would have guessed that the Lions streak went all the way back to the other Caldwell winning season or the Schwartz winning season. The Vikings game is far from over but if they lose that leaves Buffalo and Philly who took care of business so far this week. You can’t argue with those results however sloppy they are. People seem to be slowly turning on the Bills, especially Allen. KC should take care of business later. Now as for the Vikings, they had to lose another game some time so they’re far from done IMO.
  8. There was and it was so bad. A low point seeing Flair do a rare forced, contrived promo like that. Then it was so predictable that they were just lining him up to lose to Bret because that’s what they did with him at that point.
  9. They’re to proud. Mike Martz will always be the worst, but within the last 10 years there more guys like him even if none of them are as bad. They just have run the offense, and they just have to call plays they’ve decided to call period without considering a player’s strengths and weaknesses.
  10. Hogan having an issue with the shape Sting was in was just something he came up with as damage control. The one gripe I have with Sting in this whole thing is that he didn’t challenge him to a lap around arena. That finish would have been thrown out quicker than a Nitro main event because Hogan would have been dying 1/3 of the way through.
  11. They could have done anything with Bret as long as it yielded a match with Hogan. My scenario without even the title would have been fine. Make it winner vs Sting if you want. Then you get either the big rematch or the Scorpion vs the Sharpshooter. They also could have sicked him on Hogan Piper style. He could have just showed up and gave a promo about what he really thought about 1994 like Piper did about 1985. Just so many possibilities. Now getting back to Starrcade for a minute, we have to remember that Starrcade wasn’t centered around Bret. He really didn’t even need to be there for any of the possibilities involving him to happen as soon as next month. He only ended up being there for the only reason anything ever happened in WCW from then on - to allow Eric to jackoff Hogan while trying to save whatever show they were doing. This show happened to be Starrcade and the 2 things just couldn’t happen together then. There was only 1 possibility at Starrcade - Sting over Hogan. I said earlier there were many possibilities with Bret vs Hogan. So whether it was 1 possibility or a many possibilities, WCW could screw it up. I’m not the WWF historian. Would it be accurate to say that there was only 1 possibility at SS?
  12. McDaniels is definitely on the list with Kiffin and BO’b. I’m beginning to think McCarthy, ring and all, is also on the list. Even before the drama started, they should have went run, run, pass when they had the ball with over 2:00 left. Pollard wants to be the guy supposedly so ok go your ass out there and get atleast 1 first down. Instead he takes himself out of the game. It sounds like I’m shifting blame to him right but no...because that came out in the wash. Then he didn’t even touch the ball again. He should have ran the ball on 3rd and 4th down, because that was 4 down territory. It wasn’t normal 4 down territory but it was 4 down territory just the same. Rodgers on a good day wins that game if all he needs it a FG no matter what the field position is.
  13. The Diggs drop late in that game isn’t being talked about enough
  14. Arn and Terry were 2 of the best, but my favorite thing about that promo (and a ton of Indy stuff from around that time) was how fresh they looked by doing nothing different than wearing hats and standing against a different back drop than usual. The USWA promo I posted way back in this thread is another example of some guys looking brand new there, after so many years in WCW. This is my holy grail of a dvd documentary set with interviews and matches.
  15. I’m going to read this whole thread but I had to go ahead and respond to this as soon as I read it because I have always maintained that Starrcade 97 was an even worse fuck up. It was also a screw job. It wasn’t as personal of a screw job obviously but take Starrcade’s screw job and everything else that went wrong that night and you have an even bigger fuck up than the SS. I didn’t hate the finish that WCW was selling. Bret coming in to make the 3 count after the match restarted would have counted fine as him helping Sting kill the NWO. The payoff would have happened and Bret vs Hogan could have easily been fabricated while Sting defended the title against Scott Hall who had won WW3 before. And Bret vs Hogan could have met it’s potential WITHOUT the title IMO. Obviously it wouldn’t have been hard to bring the title back into it if they wanted but yeah. Now obviously the finish WCW was selling wasn’t the finish we got. I can’t believe the nonsense they tried to pass off on us that night.
  16. And he’s still the WOAT. Bill O’brien continues to make a valiant effort but he just can’t beat, um, lose, to Lane Kiffin.
  17. Lane Kiffin is the biggest degenerate creep I’ve ever seen. He’s only overshadowed in society otherwise by more recent freakos, and because everything wasn’t quite a click away for everybody just yet when he was in the NFL. As for the Falcons, I can’t put my finger on them. Sometimes they look like a talentless, but we’ll coached team who is going as far as they possibly can like when they were about to come back and beat the Bucs before the refs and then beat the 49ers. Then there’s the last 2 games. Wtf.
  18. It’s true - the Colts really are the biggest dumpster fire of the last 10 years. It just burns a little cleaner than some of the smaller ones. If Allen comes back at 100%, it will have been a blessing that he missed games tbh. Every time he plays he risks breaking a leg or lacerating a kidney. Meanwhile they won’t go 0fer with Keenum. Allen needs the rest injured or not.
  19. I would ROFL if the Colts spent years hiring and firing guys from their dominant era. They’re starting with the guy who took the world’s biggest ass chewing from the guy who carried that dominant era. In 10 years maybe they’ll be so desperate that they’ll offer Peyton Manning so much money he can’t refuse it.
  20. Indy is a bigger dumpster fire than Washington. They just seem to always be a little better at throwing some mascara on and passing as a football team. Now that they’ve took it off I don’t doubt they’ll be right back where they were when Luck quit. Also I don’t remember the name of it but there was an NFL Top 10 show that had a segment on Norm Van Brocklin the coach and it was 1 of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. It showed him smoking cigarettes Dukes of Hazzard style while yelling out plays, cussing and using cutting edge 1970s slurs lol! All to the narration of people who knew him calling him rotten names. It ended with 1 of them saying “rotten S.O.B. God rest his soul.”
  21. Wow I didn’t see this coming. This is the most shocking firing since Marty from the Chargers.
  22. And Mahomes made so many bad throws and was bailed out by his guys so many times but you have to attempt to throw the ball doi. Willis just learned that.
  23. In spite of what I said earlier, I have to hand it to the Chiefs win or lose. They finally did what they had to do to tie this game. They didn’t do it with the refs or the other team playing Prevent either which seems to be how every comeback happens now. That brings me to the Titans. It’s easy to question Henry not getting 2 more touches in the 4th Qtr in hindsight but really they also played well. It was a good game between 2 good teams.
  24. It makes Brady homers who don’t like that the record came thanks to YAC on a 3rd and 20 where the guy didn’t even get the first down mad. Has anybody here ever won any $$$ on the NBC Predictor ap or Terry Bradshaw’s $$$ app? I know better than to get my hopes up but I’m on pace to get the jackpot in this game now
  25. The Titans came to play and the Chiefs are doing what they sometimes do in big games. If they don’t tighten up they will go on to do what they sometimes go on to do in big games...lose. That’s why Cris Collinsworth’s overselling of every positive Titans play, with a reference to the time time the Titans beat the Chiefs thrown in, is so bad. He is worse than late 90s Tony fucking Schiavone about this.
