He said he has asked around and no one is talking about it which is surprising. Dave did said though he has heard the same things as the Torch said in the reason for Ambrose's unhappiness (especially the part about "doing hokey things")

That’s a complaint Ambrose has expressed in the past. So it sounds believable.

  2. If they didn’t job Seth to Ziggler, I think people would be singing a different tune. Not that I think this board would change it’s mind about him winning it. He’s the new HBK around here in someways. But I think people would be more excepting of it, and the live reaction would be different, since he still had that momentum of being “On fire”. I understood they needed to get the belt off of him, but Elias was right there for that, and he was a hot heel prospect that you could’ve continued in that role. Massive mistakes made prior to Mania, but that’s typical.

Something to lighten the mood. HHH needs to bring these back and keep Vince around as long as his voice holds up just to do voiceovers.

The mock one is pretty good. There's another mock one on youtube, but the voice ruins it. It's like Vince after the massive coke crash.

The Jack Swagger part gave me a laugh.

The WWE has announced it will be doing another reality show with Bunim-Murray (the folks who do Total Divas and Total Bellas) that is "the search for the next great female competitor"

From the very vague details provided - it comes across like it will be an all Female Tough Enough

We got an all female Tough Enough. It was called NXT season 3.

I'm not 100% sure but I could've sworn I read somewhere that the release of RR 94 edited the fan response to make it sound loud for Luger as well. Maybe someone here has better information.

I know he was still getting family loud pops in early 94 but post Hogan and pre Austin, no-one was getting louder pops besides the Undertaker than Bret Hart. I know HBK was hot after WM 11-1996, but consistently Bret was getting massive pops from his initial single run in 91 up until the fans turned on him in early 97.

On the unedited one it sounds 50/50, and sometimes 60/50 for Lex. The RAW’s afterwards Luger was still getting bigger reactions, than Bret. But it didn’t help that Luger’s matches sucked, and Vince was more loyal to his company boy Bret, than he was to outsider Luger. I mean I don’t mind that Bret got the push. I never liked Luger, and didn’t relate to the Lex Express gimmick. But looking back on it, if Vince truly wanted Lex to happen, then he would’ve justified it just going by crowd reactions. I think deep down Vince wanted Bret to succeed in this Bret Vs. new Hogan ordeal. Just to sort of put a nail in the coffin of the roided superstar era.

Thank god “people power” actually chose the true winner in this one. If Vince had his way we would’ve seen the Lex Express part deux heading into Wrestlemania 10 and Luger would’ve gotten as a good a reaction as HBK got at Survivor Series 96.

Mmmmmmmhh... Watched this recently. I gotta say, Lex’s pops weren’t huge, but it sounded at times like his were louder during the impromptu polling by the refs.

This kind of shooty stiffness really galls me. It is shite when low level garbage workers beat the crap out of each other because they can't work properly, but for trained workers with a philosophy of "honor" it makes it worse than your indy geek show in a high school gym. I paid to be worked, dammit, and am proud to admit it. Learn your craft, tough guys, or move to the octagon.

Rev you are doing yourself a disservice for ragging on that G-1 Climax. If stiffness bugs you, then you can watch Nishimura work his ass off by having these brilliant G-1 matches where the idea is that he’ll either wear his opponent down enough to pin him, or settle for a draw to get a point.

Where would they flim their tv show? In a studio?

They shouldn’t be doing that. They should be doing live shows from the Disney Hollywood Studios parking lot to help that parks current shitty attendance.

Without going into all the details, Dave is reporting Ronda is likely finishing up with WWE at Mania

I don’t know what’s happened, but if I was AEW, I would go after her hard no matter what. Although if I had to guess it’s either hating the bumps, or wanting to start a family for why she wants to leave.

The show-within-a-show they did was fun, but I think that's a card they've been well served by only playing the once (so far).

I loved it! It was very surreal in a Garth Marenghi sort of way. I don’t want like three seasons of it, but if I was a major executive there, I’d risk my position for like one season of six episodes to get made.

I think it would be hard to categorize that as trying.  It was just a show they licensed, like a zillion other shows.  When they put some money into a promotion and slap their name on the front of it, that will be Netflix trying.  I can't imagine they ever will, though.  Maybe if GLOW had been a hit, they would've seen a market.  But it isn't.  That said, they're trying to take over every other TV format known to man, so maybe, in time, they'll get around to it.

It isn’t? That really sucks. I was hoping they would spin off the fictional show within a show they had near the end of season 2.

My only issue with this is that Andrade doesn’t completely stand up straight so he can get some extra hang-time. Still cool spot that will most likely used later as a call-back where Rey will counter it ala EZ Money Vs. Kid Kash.
