  1. If Taker didn’t take such a liking to Baron Corbin in the first place, he would be on Main Event every week right now. There is zero reason for that guy being a feature player. He is the 6’5”+ version of Ziggler. He kills all the enthusiasm fans have of a potential superstar because you have to job to him a couple of times due to 50-50 booking when you are placed in a feud with him.

  2. Dipped back into Sekiro...

I don’t think I’m supposed to play the area that takes place in the “past” all the way through. I think I’m supposed to play it periodically. Because the boss you fight here is almost impossible to fight in one area of this level. I think I need another ability to take down the guards, because otherwise I have to fight him, and his 7 or so cronies. I did find a 2nd one armed Ninja(who looks exactly the same as the one that had a name in the area that takes place in the present, and he’s not a mini-boss) before finding the big boss in the burning castle. This adds to my current favorite thing about this game, which is the “So I got to the part where I found [insert boss]” “Wait I didn’t see that. Where was he” “Oh he’s over in this area”.

You're farther in than me. However,

If you look at the rest points, it shows memories and prayer beads as upgrade items. Since that seperate area is a flashback, I suspect once you complete that scenario you'll get a memory and can use it to upgrade your attack power. So that might be your incentive for getting that done. Only conjecture, though.

Hmmmmmm... Might finish it now. Even heard a podcast that called it a “side-mission”.

    Also...

Beat that fucking bull, and then went down the path after that. Then the game gave me paths that diverged again in threes(it looks like). Picked one that had a one-armed shinobi boss(real bitch of a challenge). Love that listening into convos basically is a set-up for the boss fights. The one that set-up the shinobi made me think he was talking about my character.

Game is simply incredible. Can’t wait for my New Game+ run.

I assume they're an alarm system of some kind? I've been unwilling to touch them.

Now that I've had a night to sleep on it, here's the difference between Sekiro and Souls games: with the Souls games, you have a lot of bullshit you can use to get the advantage. Your roll has invincibility frames. You can get loot. You can grind experience or money, because they're both the same stat. You have magic. You have a lot of healing options. You can upgrade your loot. You have loot. You can call in other players to help. Other players can leave hints as to what might be happening around the corner.

In Sekiro, you have you, your sword, and your understanding of the combat system, and That's Fucking it. You have to do everything completely honestly. Your side step is for moves you don't know the parry pattern of yet. You only have the one sword, because the point is not doing damage: it's knocking them off balance and landing killing blows. There's nothing in Sekiro but yourself. It is maybe the steepest ask I've ever seen in a From Software game, and I am fascinated by it.

I've never beaten a Souls game. I feel compelled to beat this.

Yeah Sekiro is the shit. The games levels are a lot deeper than some of the first previews lead me to believe.

    Question...

Very early in the game you can aquire an item that allows you to go to a different area set in the past. So do I see this area through to the end or should I go through the other path the game has me on? I’ve already beaten the spear dude, and found an alternate way into the burning castle that had a dead end with two normal bald spear dudes, but I’ve also beaten the horseback dude in the other path that has lead me to a fucking bull with fire horns that has me banging my head on my bed post.

How am I not shocked at this? From this weeks Observer

If Sami Callihan came in, and toned things down a bit, then I can see him as an Ole type. Arn I guess will be JJ. My main complaint with that is Arn isn’t dapper enough for that role. Dustin Rhodes with his ability to be a chameleon in different roles would be great as a JJ. You can add an extra layer with him turning on his brother to join his dads old enemy stable.

Here is the episode in question.

I am digging the MCU Mandarin vibe I am getting from the CONTRA entrance package.  Nice theft and recycling of the Ten Rings emblem for their team logo.

Fatu is a star on the rise and that riot is the best carny thing I've seen in YEARS~!  Josef Samael channeling The Sheik by setting dudes on fire and jabbing them in the head with international objects is The Best!

CONTRA Unit is my new favorite heel stable by a million miles.  They are like The Embassy only much scarier.

Oh, and much love to the New Hart Foundation by invoking Freebird Rules for all of their Tag-Title defenses.

I'm not sure how I feel about this Dynasty / NHF feud, though.  NHF feels more like a heel stable than they do a group of tweeners and the various members of newly formed Dynasty have either always worked heel or have recently gone rule breaker.

Who do you pull for when bad guys fight each other?  You should want to see all of them get their asses beat.,

Oh wow, that’s how we get fans to throw stuff again at wrestlers.

I remember thinking that film would've made an excellent game after watching it

They did make it. It’s called Mario Odyssey.

“It-a me Mario! Beware my wrath.”

Luigi’s Mansion is the canonical sequel.

  8. I’m still bugged that the big twist was that Denzel the narrator was really the Demon. But how could he narrate the story with Denzel’s voice in cat form? Also who is he telling the story to? That narrator twist ruined the movie for me. Felt so unneeded.

Much like you I need this in my life.  Thankfully they linked to where you can get them.  https://wipertagstore.com/products/brawling-wrestlers-wipertags

And you know you want to see it in action:

Aw, sonofabitch, I don't have rear windshield wipers!  Well, so much for my car.  Unless I can convince my wife to put them on hers...

Apparently the most popular just by it being on pre-order after selling out.

P.S. Honda Civic Hatchback, so I’ve got a wiper, BABY!

Goodman and Gandolfini were both in Fallen, the crazy and not so good demon possession movie with Denzel Washington, but I don't think they had any screen time together.

I haven’t watched that movie in quite sometime, but they both play cops. So they maybe share a brief seen together.

Crow Sting was a constant reminder Brandon Lee was taken way too soon, and in a way that was so preventable. Put me down for surfer Sting.

Controversial opinion... Silent Pre-Starrcade 97 Crow Sting is better than talkative Brandon Lee Crow. I think Crow Sting’s coolness rubbed off on Lee’s Crow, and made that movie character cooler in a rose tinted glasses way.

Man was scary on Rosanne too! The episode where him and Roseanne get into a fight and they are destroying the house scared the hell out of me when I was a kid. Or when he finds out Jackie's boyfriend has been hitting her, and he just calmly grabs his coat and walks out the door and YOU KNOW SHIT IS GOING DOWN. Don't fuck with John Goodman

It’s a shame we never got a John Goodman Vs. James Gandolfini(Battle between the scariest big men in Hollywood) Heat-like film before James passing.

    AHHHHHHHHH, what could’ve been...

Edit: I love that James probably told David Chase that he’d only job to Bobby in the most pro wrestling territory way possible.

I’m just happy Genndy Tartakovsky has been the director of a financially successful movie franchise.

Edit: Looking at the photo I posted made me check Rex King’s wiki bio. Says nothing about him being related to Bob Orton Jr., but god dammit he sure looks a lot like him. I’d be surprised he wasn’t a secret offspring of Bob Orton Sr.
