  1. Another thing to pile on... After the snap, the worlds infrastructure is in complete shambles. Whole cities have been abandoned. Garbage is piling up because I assume nobody can run waste management. “But GODDAMMIT, we can still fund, and maintain a memorial that has all the names of the people that have been dusted in the USA!” Edit: @Casey That’s a good point about that. I just really disliked the scene in Japan where she let’s Clint let his steam out on the Yakuza. I’ll accept her arriving later that night while Hawkeye is stuffing his sorrows with sushi, and sake after he killed all those dudes. But to be right there while he’s continuing his fascist vigilante campaign, really upset me. They could’ve arrived to that moment cleaner than they did. Heck you could’ve done all that with Clint, but had his killings off-screen. Natasha could confront him about the issue by just dropping a news article in front of him that reads “Masked Killer Continues Terrorizing The International Mob”.
  2. I haven’t been watching all the Marvel movies consistently over the past few phases since the first Avengers, but like The Sopranos, I couldn’t help not miss a big finale. I’ll say I was very entertained during it’s runtime. It wasn’t always entertaining. I didn’t care at all for Black Widow, and Hawkeye’s arc. Those characters came off as super unlikable. Especially Hawkeye, and his new Punisher persona that felt out of nowhere, and unearned. The big climactic(like a lot of these) made me drowsy. I’m 33, and these scenes don’t hold my attention anymore. Hulk, and Thor were indeed the best parts. The later stealing the show completely. Only issue was that it bordered on gimmick infringement of Jeff Bridges Dude. I mean I can accept one cute homage, but this was almost every single scene, including one that was clearly referencing the scene where Donny’s ashes are “spread”. The former on the other hand, had the single best scene with Ant-Man at the diner. Hopefully Hulk isn’t just going to be a token exposition dump in these movies for the future(It’s sadly looking that way). Disney/Marvel should just bite the bullet, and get those damn Hulk movie rights from Universal, and make that solo Professor Hulk movie already. Also no mention of Edward Norton at all in the big spectacular credits. Dude is Macho Man Randy Savage to Kevin Feige’s Vince McMahon.
  3. Was it ever true that Yokozuna had butt pads for a bit because Rodney Anoa’i hadn’t gotten fat enough for the gimmick at the beginning?
  4. I’ll laugh if they made a last minute documentary that features canned interviews about Tom McGee by Bruce Prichard, Rikishi, and Steve Lombardi.
  5. For somebody who was booked to lose, and lose all his momentum he built up to that match just so he can put over Flair, he was never more motivated to bust his ass on that night.
  6. Ugh I remember now. For some reason the slow-mo they put it through on Starrcade made it look like a non-title tv match that I’ve never seen before.
  7. Right at the start of Starrcade 88 there is footage of Luger(in yellow tights) submitting Flair(in white tights) with the torture rack, and the fans go ape shit. Where is this from?
  8. If they ever get a 2nd show I would love it to be a pre-taped studio show. helping flesh out storylines, with promos, matches, and angles exclusive to it. WWE sort of does this on YouTube. But the footage feels so raw at times, that it doesn’t immediately hit you as something important(Most of the time it isn’t). Also of course NXT is a modern regional studio show, and that has shown to still be a superior way to tell stories in wrestling.
  9. Looks like if he lands anywhere it’ll be butthole.
  10. He’s on a really tight rope. Be careful not to fall.
  11. If they are hard down grading the women on TV, then that is really upsetting. Yet somehow Baron Corbin gets rewarded with plenty of TV time.
  12. The only thing I remember about Fuse was that it replaced my beloved Canadian music channel Much Music.
  13. The good thing is they will put a ton of money in this at the start, unlike WCW. Which it took like 6 years before Turner gave them the money to put out a quality looking program.
  14. I did really like Cody’s promo, but I’ll admit I haven’t liked everything I’ve seen. I hope this Turner deal means they’ll get some more TV people in on this. Hopefully they use the PPV, these house shows as a practice run before the TNT show.
  15. GOT is early 98 WCW. You see the cracks, but it’s still an entertaining program. I’m expecting a finger poke of doom with the big Mountain Vs. Hound this weekend.
  16. Do they really need it for now? By the time the TNT show premieres, they would’ve gotten footage from all the house shows they have scheduled coming up. So for ads, and wrestler highlights they’ll have plenty of footage to use. I could also see Highspots, and PWG agree to letting AEW use their footage too.
  17. You totally could rib Cole with it too. Cole: ...And there he is. Yellwar... Graves: WARRRRRRR!!!
  18. I know... I know... But it’d be a real cool phrase not to use for marketing purposes, even if technically TBS/Saturday Night was the Mothership.
  19. I would love to see what Turner’s advertising comes up for these shows without the rights to old WCW assets, and footage. Maybe a shadowy silhouette in reverse of the 90’s WCW logo(since I think they could get away legally with that), a narrator saying “18 years ago a television tradition ceased to exist. But now the tradition, and legacy... Has... Returned... To... It’s... Mothership!” Intercut wrestling action in-between “Turner Sports proudly brings you All Elite Wrestling on TNT”.
  20. Having an hour some weeks wouldn’t be a bad thing creatively. Would be a nice way to give the bookers a creative rest. Maybe even having a TV title defended frequently on those nights to entice the fans to watch those shorter episodes. The only bad part is if they had a PPV that past Sunday, and needed a major episode to follow it. They could still always request to be moved to a different night some weeks.
  21. Just you wait! One day yelwaR ojoM, which is Mojo Rawley spelled backwards(This will be repeated on commentary) will debut. Actually a wrestler who does everything in reverse doesn’t sound like a bad payoff to this angle with Mojo, and the mirror. He can always do a reverse version of wrestling moves. Enter, and exit the ring in reverse. Cut a promo in reverse. Etc, etc, etc...
  22. That Delorian almost disintegrating instantly on the crash test footage makes the way the time machine splits apart in chunks in Back to The Future 3 look believable now.
