I was always enamored by him growing up, and it really does suck to just see him struggle like he does nowadays.

I was only 7 years old back then, so I can't really comment on how I felt at the time (especially since my mom always tried to get me to not watch wrestling), but yeah, looking back on it, 1997 was quite the year for that company.

I always loved this Bret promo, and how genuinely unscripted/raw feeling the subsequent Hart Foundation runout and Austin save was. It felt very intense, I think in part due to no commentary.

Liger has put so much time, sweat, blood, and tears into this business. Such a storied career, it'll be sad to see it come to an end, but the man deserves a beautiful sendoff. Looking forward to seeing what he'll do between now and January, and there will be tears in the Tokyo Dome next year. One of the best to ever do it.

Takeda is a confirmed crazy man. Imagine being a semi-successful MMA fighter (11-4-1 when he was active) and being like, nah, deathmatches seem like a better idea.
