I just like watching wrestling. All this shit sucks so bad.

As of last week there’s only 5389 tix out this time round.

They’ve done over 90k buys already. Since most come day of the show that’s a really good sign. Too bad it couldn’t be on tnt or max, but they will get a bunch of money (too bad it couldn’t be on tnt or max and they get paid a lot of money for it, though).

I’ll be watching this show at my lapsed fan friends house, the exact same place we watched the original All In 5 years ago. One thing I just noticed, on the fine print on b/r, they say the replay will be available on demand for 72 hours, much like the cable companies. This is a first. The reason I’ve gotten all the ppvs through b/r is that I still have access to them all on demand. We’ll see if this is the norm going forward, it’s just for this outlier show, or it could potentially have something to do with an upcoming streaming platform.

Im just wondering about access to the country based on the charge. Americans can’t even enter Canada if they have a dui on their record. Uk has pretty strict gun laws. Unless aew was kept in the dark about this, they obviously feel the match is still happening as of Wednesday night.

Sucks with all the negative focus clouding their biggest event ever. This isn’t the first time that’s happened either. So messy.

Supposedly some wrestlers snubbed punk at forbidden door like jb, Britt and (I think) Matt Hardy.

Chris is booking west coast pro and there are angles and storylines to build matches (at the show last night we got a masked heel attacking the face before the match to weaken him up, and then a big injury angle where a face wouldn’t be able to come back out for the tourny but miraculously did) but that’s one show per month. Not even in the same universe as booking three shows per week. I think tk is set in his ways and I agree the build for all the ppvs should be better, they’ve been on the weak side for at least over a year now. Not saying it can’t be criticized but I don’t think anything is changing in the foreseeable future. For better or worse, this is what aew is. It certainly isn’t flawless.

Fwiw he said his shoes are super thin and he said he got glass and tacks in his feet at the beginning and it messed him up. Plus time prep and motivation. I’m excited.

Dang I wanted to be there last night but it’s a school night for my little kids. I’m going to night 2 tonight though, hope takumi is at tonight’s show.

Got my Stockton dynamite tickets. I’ll probably make the road trip to Full Gear, and figure there will be more California shows during those 6 weeks. Good times, hopefully they have some hot programs coming out of All In/All Out.

That’s super annoying. Obviously people who bought tickets have started making plans. Hope you and everyone else has a great time though.

I travel to Lanai frequently for work and take the ferry to/from Lahaina. That’s how all the regulars in Lanai get to Maui to do errands and whatnot. Really awful stuff. I was last there in May.

Danielson injured. Hayter injured. Pac injured. Stings not retiring. G1 doesn’t end until next week. I think it’s unfair at best at this point to say he isn’t trying to make this the best card he can. I agree that more should have been built up earlier, but I’ll reserve judgement until I see the final card (and then see the show).

Here is a new article on the subject which states the Max sports tier will roll out in October with the mlb playoffs, and just in time for the nba and nhl seasons to start. Says a formal announcement could happen around Labor Day. Once again, no mention of aew but certainly worth keeping an eye on.

I watched summerslam live, thinking it might be over at like 8:30pst and I could just switch over to collision. Went way passed that so I just watched collision later. That second week when collision got crushed was also the day of money in the bank. Even if people watched that one live, I’d think the typical wrestling fan isn’t going to watch more than one wrestling show in one day (unlike us). I think the Saturday wwe ppvs are going to be stronger competition than college football in the fall.

Perhaps this has been part of the hold up for aew ppv coming to max (or perhaps not). They are planning to roll out a higher priced tier with sports content but haven’t figured out the details yet.

I’ll probably go to that Stockton dynamite. Have to take a half day off work, but there’s worse things in the world than that.

Yeah that was a really great show top to bottom.
