  1. Stardom did have involvement in the AKB drama.
  2. We generally sell out Shinkiba or come close every time. That's about 300 fans that will be there almost every time. The same fans pretty much. Stardom diehards. A lot are guys that travel to every show, be it Osaka or Nagoya, etc. But usually those fans are always gonna be there. Then you have the Korakuen fans. They only go to Korakuen. But they are there every time. Include the diehards and for Korakuen you can usually count on at least 800. That means anyone else, you try to pull them in with the card, with new gaijin, with celebrities, what ever it may be. The Stardom crowd generally is not the same crowd as any of the other promotions. Sure you get some fans that go to everything, but for the most part, anyone that comes to Stardom comes because they want the style that we present as opposed to the other companies. They expect gaijin wrestlers, because no one else does it that much. Diehard international joshi fans want cool angles all the time. Want a lot of wrestlers from other Japanese companies to come in. But it's not gonna happen. Anyone that follows joshi knows this. You can see the same wrestlers on cards from oher companies. Oz, Wave, Ice Ribbon, JWP, Seedling etc. It'll never happen in Stardom. He doesn't want to be the same. #1 goal is to sell tickets. Without Japanese fans, there is no Stardom. To that end, we do what we can to make things cool for international fans. But it's booked for Japan.
  3. And yes, ticket sales are number one as far as making profit goes. Merchandise is next.
  4. We're thankful that we have more subscriptions than we ever have. That's revenue that we didn't have just one year ago. Stardom World and the online store have made a huge impact for us. Some people don't like the product, but it's ok. There are many people that do enjoy it. It may be bad marketing to say "well if they don't want to watch, they won't" but you can't win over everyone. There will always be gaijin in Stardom, it will never ever change. And it's understandable that some fans don't like it. There are many that do.
  5. As our boss says: If they wanna watch Stardom, they will. If they don't, they won't. If you want to follow us, thank you. If you don't we understand and thank you anyways.
  6. You are free to your opinion. If we state our opinion it's not agression. For instance, you wonder why Io and Kairi. Well, it's because TV Asahi wants Io and Kairi. the US audience will only see it if they seek it out. It probably won't be on Stardom World since TV Asahi will own the rights to the matches. Suzuki and Seyama are very popular in Japan. People outside of Japan won't get it and aren't expected to.
  7. umm...we're on national tv. If you don't get what the exposure means, well...TV Asahi would be like being on ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX in the US...we're the only company to be on national TV this year (twice no less). It helps us a lot. It's worth your ”ugh.”
  8. She was biting her fingers. The ref said stop and she did that. Then she bit then again.
  9. For Takumi, it's a case of her living her dream. She idolizes Chigusa. Now she does everything for her. Drive her everywhere, do whatever she needs done. Her stock rose tenfold in Japan just from being the protege of Chigusa Nagayo, more than wrestling with Stardom or anyone else could have brought. Chigusa is still revered in Japan. When anyone with stature comes to Stardom shows, lets say Satomura for instance. She is shown the utmost respect and the younger girls, staff and everyone else are of course very kind, everyone goes out of there way to make sure she is welcomed. But the times I have seen Chigusa at Stardom shows...well, it is like time stands still. The young girls almost bow on the ground to her. Everything stops. Even the fans standing outside of the venue. She still has an aura. All of that rubs off on Takumi. She is treated with more regard by the fans, but also the promotions.
  10. The 34 accounts that are blocked did something to warrant being blocked. It's in the best interest of the company to not be associated in any way with those accounts.
  11. That's funny considering the last matches I thought was Stardom's MOTY up to today were in Yokohama and Osaka. If you want to razz on something, at least get your story straight and then razz.
  12. It's odd how after 40 years in the business, people don't get that Rossy Ogawa has and always will bring over gaijin. He didn't need to in the 1990's because there were so many Japanese girls. But he grew up in the era where he was fascinated with the male gaijin wrestlers. He liked the gaijin more than the Japanese stars when he was a kid. Lou Thesz, Fritz Von Erich, Bruno Sammartino, all the names that toured Japan. When he joined All Japan Women, they ran the same system, Japanese vs Foreigners. It was a style he loved and working in that office from the bottom up, he adopted it as his own style. As long as he promotes, he will always bring over gaijin. And in doing so, he doesn't need to work with anyone that does not want to cooperate. If you think he will absolutely need to change this in the future...guess again.
  13. Mika Iwata of Sendai Girls is now Mika Shirahime (she-rah-he-may), which means White Princess.
