  1. Ryback is hitting the big NEW events this month which I find slightly shocking consider what Meltzer said he charges per appearance and the fact that the shows are right around the corner and has probably sold more or less what they are going to sell, but mayb not. I went to Wrestling Under the Stars last year and it was fun. It's also the biggest non WWE event on US soil. I don't think I'm going this year because I am going to their smaller show which is closer the next night, but it's quite a lineup and it can't be cheap to run. This is also in a minor league baseball stadium and the come to the ring in convertibles and bullpen carts. Cody Rhodes, Kurt Angle, Jushin Liger, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Sami Callihan, Kamiatchi, Lawler, Brooklyn Brawler, Swoggle, Michael Bennett, Maria and now Ryback. Senor Benjamin is also there. Photo Ops with him are $10 and autographs are $10. GTFO
  2. Chuck Taylor just wrestled in the show I just went to in a Trios Match as part of Team Chikira with Icarus and Gran Akuma. After a clunky start and a never ending awful match that made me rethink all my life decisions that brought me to this point and time, the show really picked up and had everything from Bobby Ocean and Tim Donst beating the ever living piss out of each other, the Trios match with Chuck Taylor, Alexis Nevah vs Kimber Lee and the 4 on 4 main event that was just 25 minutes of complete madness led by AR Fox, JT Dunn and a bunch of Ants. One of the better shows I've seen in awhile.
  3. Going to Wrestle Jam in Cheshire, CT on Saturday to see a bunch of guys I've always wanted to see. I have no idea how this promotion runs so I don't know if everyone will be all out or not, but it looks like fun Also NEW just announced Ricochet will be at their September 10th house show in Berhatny, a show I have front row seats for already. NEW is full of surprises lately.
  4. Soooo .... I never thought about scrolling down below the sub forums before.
  5. Well, I feel better knowing one is here ... I'm still not seeing it anywhere though, but I'm also not the savviest message board user.
  6. Am I the only one overly hyped for the final battle between Brother Nero and Matt Hardy that is happening in Matt's backyard? Matt Hardy's accent is my favorite thing in wrestling, but his gardener setting up the yard for Massacre might surpass that. Feud of the year. I'm not kidding.
  7. If you live anywhere near CT Northeast Wrestling just announced Liger vs Cody Rhodes in their Bethany CT venue August 28th. The place is tiny and tickets are only $30. Sami Callihan will also be there, but seeing Liger in a setting like this is going to be wild. This is where they do their monthly show and I go to all of them and they are fun, but they have never had anyone on the level of Rhodes or Liger there before. Hyped.
  8. I was talking about The Bennetts, Meltz, fans etc. Yes, there is life after TNA and there are outliers in every situation, but even The Phenomenal One had to take time to work the TNA out of him.
  9. I thought the Davey M line was a funny throw away line that Meltzer would just laugh off or better yet not acknowledge at all, but this new Twitter Troll Meltzer doesn't let things go ... he should have. His record with women who aren't Ronda Rosser or Charlotte is pretty terrible. Of course Maria having to take the Eric Young spot as flag bearer for High Morale and the awesomeness that is TNA is a pretty poor way to use Maria, at least this early in the game. She is a breath of fresh air on tv, but she is already getting that TNA stank on her. As always, when it comes to TNA nobody wins.
  10. It is really easy to make fun of TNA for everything they do, but bringing Maria on board was a really smart move. They currently have her on the show at least once every thirty minutes and will probably find a way to over saturate her presence, but for now she is a breath of fresh air and makes a great face for the company. I'm still not sure I understand the point of The Miracle, but if nothing else this TNA stop will get Mike Bennett a cup of coffee in NXT at some point.
  11. This did not disappoint. Very few people seemed to know who Kamaitchi is, but by the end everyone was pretty engaged. Dijak also had a great match vs local talent TK O'Ryan who is a relative newbie, but is a high riser. I love Dijak who has transformed from stiff to a guy with no ceiling, but my God some of the risks he is taking are scary. He barely got around taking a belly to back suplex off the top, and I mean barely. Nice match though and nice card. A little something for everyone.
  12. I'm not totally convinced Dalton Castle understands what he has either. I love the character. He is a good worker. I've seen him live a number of times at NEW wrestling events against a variety of opponents in intense matches and comedy matches and he is even more amazing in person. I highly recommend seeing him if the opportunity presents itself. That being said I feel like there is something missing from the whole Dalton Castle experience. Its nothing major and I can't quite put my finger on what it actually is. Maybe it's as simple as finally ending the Silas feud and moving on, but then again he might just drift out directionless in the ROH sea, because God forbid they get creative. I do think Castle gets it though. It's probably just a matter of where he is allowed to fully spread his wings.
  13. I really want to see The Vaudevillains transition their gimmick from olde timey wrestlers into two beer snobs with ironic twirly mustaches. The heat from the Budweiser/Miller Lite crowd would increase ten fold.
  14. So, if Vince McMahon tells us he wants to see BLOOD when it comes to deciding the feud between Shane and Steph is that like Bill Watts saying he wants to see one of them throw the other over the top rope to show their mettle?
  15. If Roman Reigns wrestled shirtless he would up his crowd reaction to at least 50/50
