Both of the posts below are interesting to me because it indicates that you guys actually care about the non-wrestlers in the book. I don't. They're a means to an end, to me, to get to the fun wrestling stuff.

That didn't bother me because I went into the book knowing nothing about the author or Marvin, so I didn't exactly care about them specifically. I was more interested in the stories about the wrestlers themselves, the process of booking a show, the hurdles they faced, etc.

I suppose if you went into this as a fan of Sean Oliver's, I could see why his abrasive in-your-face personality would bother you - but I'm reading it for the fun wrestling stories, not because of who the author is. Like I said, my exposure to Kayfabe Commentaries is limited to random YouTube clips - I've never bought a single video. (I'm surprised they aren't streaming anywhere though...or are they? I'd be interested in that, potentially.)

they are  i can pm you

The interest is there's, that's the frustrating part.  There's so many issues with signing up and they still need to sort out the app situation.  Once they do that if they put a little bit of Gabe-era shows then they'll see it's worth rolling them out.  But as it is it's just not worth it.

couldn't agree more. Frustrating with  tomm and sat's shows in japan, the anniversary show and manhattan mayhem all big shows but the app won't be ready until the end of March.

  3. ROH can simply  mute it like NJPW. Would it suck? Absolutely but at least the shows would  be there.  I have heard of 5 ppl who have been at the least double charged. One guy on ROHworld was charged 4 times!!!  I mean how can every other promotion figure out how to work a streaming device and ROH can't??  It's not that difficult. Fuck CZW can do it.

  4. I think they are doing a lot wrong.  Powerbombtv  and WWN both were able to get a ROKU channel fairly quick. ROH is saying end of march for a ROKU app.  They also should have had the pre  Sinclair era shows finished by now. I heard over 6 months ago they were going in and remastering them.  It seems very rushed not to mention people being double billed and not able to view half of the shows.  I want to give them my money but at this point I am holding off.

I think they said at first the Roku app was going to be a beta test only given to some subscribers.

I'm hearing the roku may not be ready til end of March. Ugh.  Why not do a free preview like powerbomb?  I heard all negative reviews so far. No shows prior to 2011 and half of the shows won't open when clicked. Other's have been double billed.  Seems like a nightmare. I really hope they fix it because I would have easily paid $120 if they had a working roku app.

Tonight is the "New World Rising" iPPV on Fite TV for Cleveland Knights Championship Wrestling. We will be having special appearance by Eric Bischoff (as GM for the evening), UFC fighter Jessica Eye and powerlifting champion Karam Izzat. Here's the lineup:

CKCW title: J-Rocc vs. Kongo Kong

Powers of Pain vs. State Line

    Tracey Smothers vs. Shawn Phoenix

CWA (Puerto Rico) title: Star Roger vs. Mike Mendoza

Hiram Tua & El Fenomeno BJ vs. Team Storm (Jaxon Argos & Jack Pollock)

Ricky Reyes vs. "Tokyo Monster" Kahagas

CKCW women's title: Vanilla Vargas vs. Solo Darling

Race for the Case ladder match (Money in the Bank style): Sonny Vice vs. El Nazareno vs. JD Smooth vs. Seth Allen vs. Angel Fashion vs. dark match winner

I'll be calling the play-by-play, and we start on Fite TV at 8 pm Eastern. Hope you can check it out.

I think the bad part about this is that ROH is also streaming on Fite TV tonight and they decided to show their show for free.  This show will be great and I really am glad to see Shawn get a good spot. I remember him when he was 13 going to IWC shows with a cast on his arm. Very proud of him.  I'd like to say ROH won't have an effect on this show but sadly I think it's going to.

I've never been sure...is Izzy some make-a-wish/special needs kid or just a normal fan who happened to gain some notoriety?

She's  special in the fact that her parents are both obnoxious rat whores to NXT/WWE.  Does anyone else remember them being pissy and leaving a taping because they couldn't get their normal seats by the rail?  This was when Bayley was still in NXT.   Any parent that would let their 10-13 yr old daughter around a wrestling locker room needs to have their head examined.   Having said that, she would make a great sister Abigail

I got burned on an annual Floslam subscription and while I doubt that I'd get burned on an annual one with ROH, I'm still tentative. I was planning on ordering the Supercard PPV because of Kenny/Cody, but the major appeal of their service is the library of shows from 2004-2007. I remember ages ago their halfassed ringside membership had most if not all of the older shows then they took down a great deal of them. It may be a breaking point from me early on whether or not they have those shows up as part of the service.

And for those that don't frequent the Japan folder, All Japan is also getting into this fandangled streaming game. I would reckon they don't have any of the NTV footage unless they've partnered up with them, but the company is certainly on an upswing from the bleak and dreary hole they found themselves in not that long ago.

ROH recently went in and remastered all of their older shows. I am hoping this means a full VOD offering!  $120 for every ppv and live event is more than worth the money though.

  9. The ROH streaming device is going to be pretty bad ass. Showing all their live events live and VOD  as well as the option to pay for a VIP one year subscription that also gives access to the live ppv's, a special forum, and discounts at the roh pro shop.   $120  to see every live roh show, ppv, and event from the past.  I'm all in!!

  10. I have all the shows on dvd but the 1991 wcw sat night shows are random quality. If i could have anything on the network it would definitely be 1991 and 1992 wcw tv.  The early 91 horsemen vs sting, steiners, pillman, lex  feud is one of my favorites of all time.  Then you get into 92 and you get the dangerous alliance.  Lets not forget the amazing Austin TV title matches.   Can it be April already?

I doubt it since they already ran the gimmick of all the announcers entering the match in 2012 (including Booker and Lawler)

Considering how many guys on the roster still aren't officially doing anything - them cramming random comedy people into the match would be disappointing (much like 2012 again)

I could be wrong but I was at the Pittsburgh Rumble and I think we got JBL in that one. It's an overused spot. I also agree they have a ton of guys not doing nothing. It's one of the first rumbles in a while where I am going to  be surprised with the ending.  Hopefully Philly and the rest of us aren't trolled
