  1. Trae Young is the biggest fraud. Guy fucking leans in on every shot to draw a foul.  Pussy move if there ever was one.  Guys in the 90's would shit all over his style. He needs to toughen up like John Starks.   John Starks shot the 3 with pride and dignity. Never once heard anyone call John Starks a fraud.  Hell remember the cartoon WayanHead?  Who did they idolize?? John Starks, that's who.

Kaplan vs Matthew Justice was rowdy as fuck. Josh Bishop vs Mance Warner was wild as well. AIW is one of the better indies out.

So IWC  has an annual show where the champions face random opponents selected by a reset button.  The show is happening now on Fite Tv and Bill Collier is facing Mance Warner, and Matthew Justice.  Wild to see it as I was just reading this post when both guys were selected.   Mance has never been in IWC and Matthew Justice has been gone for 5 years at least.

Also the reset button had Bushwhacker Luke in a tag title match. The guy is in his 70's and still had the crowd going nuts.   Henry Godwin also was in a battle royal.   Not a bad show. Brit Baker showed up to make a save as well. Talked to her earlier in the day as she was at a comic con here.  She said the Saturday AEW show with Omega-Jungle Boy will be "can't miss"

Funny thing about Lady Frost,  my co-worker used to bartend with her.  She was not trained when she had her WWE squash match. In fact it was her first ever match. She lied and told them she was trained when in actuality she was not. Her husband the Savage gentleman was a bad ass MMA fighter. Not sure why he made the move to wrestling as the guy is a legit bad ass. Used to date another co-worker of mine.  Most of you may know this but for those that don't,  Mick Foley officiated their wedding.

Sam Adonis booked his first lucha show here and we sat around my house talking about matches. He asked me to find a lady to face Lady Frost I said "how about Ray Lynn"  The match was fun they wrestled in the bounce house as well.  Flashforward and now Sam and Ray Lynn are dating.

    Crazy world.

It was less than a month between July and August of '03 - I only know because that sick ass block logo Word Life raglan tee was the last WWE shirt I bought til ~2011

I recently sold this shirt for $400.  The back said something like "if you don't know, we don't want you to know"

  6. what people haven't mentioned is that WWE is looking hire basically a whole all new IT team.  If you follow any of the big name office guys on LinkedIn you will see the posts daily.  I'm assuming this is due to going back on the road.  Pretty soon they are going to have to merge the rosters together as there won't be enough to have 2 brands plus NXT.

  7. With a good ref you do not notice them.  A good ref doesn't try to get themselves over or the match either. A good ref stays out of the way and lets the workers do the work. AEW needs good refs.  Bryce isn't bad. Aubrey tries. Noticed her tell Sting to get back to his corner a few times. She is equal to the faces as she is the heels which is actually good to see.  A good ref does not pander to the faces or the heels.

  8. I really enjoyed the show.  Riho-Deeb was better than Shida-Baker.    I wouldn't mind seeing Baker-Riho next just to see what Britt can do with someone like Riho.  Too many mistakes in the women's title match but it wasn't bad. Head's and shoulders above anything WWE is doing in the ladies division.

Bucks winning was meh. The ending was original though so I'l give them that much. Up until the ending I'l say it was one of the best tag matches i've seen in years. If Mox and Kingston would have won I would have loved it more.

Jungle Boy winning the battle royal was great. Lio Rush as the Joker was not.   AEW has too many guys similar to Lio that aren't even booked.  Janella himself wasn't even put in the Battle Royal.  Shows how much they think of Joey. Nothing for Chuck and Trent? Nothing for Luchasauraus or Marko?

Cody is one of the most boring guys in AEW. I want to get behind him but I just can't. Had a feeling when he came out with the Red, White, and Blue, and remixed theme he would be going over. Sadly I was right.

Hangman Page is over. Not sure who I'd rather see unseat Kenny at this time. Page, Cage, Jungle Boy, or Orange.  (watch it be Christian)

Riho coming out to the live crowd first was the perfect move. That match set the stage for a great night. Both ladies looked good in the ring. The work was crisp and the crowd enjoyed every second of it.

Miro and Archer wasn't bad. Could have been better. I wouldn't mind Kingston-Miro for the Tv belt. Give Kingston a win and let him be the face of TNT.  Let Mox have some time of with wife and daughter.

The 3 way title match was fun. Never for a second did I think Kenny was going to lose though. I think that took a lot away from the match for me.  Fun match, but the flash ending seemed rushed.

Stadium stampede was amazing. I loved the match and think Wardlow and Sammy both came out of it looking like gold. Interesting to see where the feud goes from here. How do you top Blood and Guts and Stadium Stampede?

Jim Ross needs to go.  I love JR. He is the voice of my WCW childhood but my god my dad who hates wrestling would have sounded more invested in the product. He sounds grumpy, disinterested, and it's not good for the product. New fans hearing him would have to be scratching their heads and asking "why is this guy even on here"

Solid show all around. All heel champs is a bold move. Looking forward to seeing where they go from here on Friday night.

I’d be all for WWE going full-Lucha Underground. It’s just weird that they present that stuff as being in the same universe as their other stuff. Seems inconsistent.

the only universe that matters to them is the WWE Universe. Whether that be 1 universe or 500 it's the only Universe that counts.

  10. The vaccine (2nd 0ne)  had me more tired than I'd been in my life. It gave me a pretty bad headache also but it was worth it.  Hope everyone is out there staying safe.

I normally pay for gas with my card but for some reason I didn't have my wallet on me so I went to pay with cash and some guy came in without a mask and was asked to put one on. The guy tried to start shit with the old lady working. I decided to stick around in case things got rough. He was yelling and finally he just left. I waited until he drove off. The lady looked scared to death.  People can be fools.

My counterargument would be that I don't think Randy spending several decades doing lots of drugs and being an increasingly out-of-control paranoid nutball did Randy any favors.

Savage is a top 5 or 10 guy for me, but he documentary just reconfirmed the opinion I've had of him as a person.  There wasn't much new or different in the episode, and, honestly, I could rattle off stories that make him sound even worse.  The Liz-Savage stuff has always sounded creepy, it's always been known that Randy was sorta weird (do you know anyone who starts doing their television character 24/7?  Or refers to themselves in the third person?) and we've always kinda known that Randy was using heavily (both performance enhancers and recreational drugs.  It's not the flimmakers fault that they didn't have a lot to work with to paint Randy in a better light.

I thought Lanny came off as a toadie.  No idea how fair it is, but he came off as an enabler who wouldn't say anything to Randy about anything unless he was sure Randy wanted to hear it (prob. because, even in WCW, he was drawing a salary mostly because Randy wanted him taken care of).

true on all accounts.  I think the telling tale will be with HBK. If they don't mention his drug use and shitty attitude phase then we will know all we need to.  HBK's drug use and attitude has been well documented as well. I'm looking forward to see how much of it is covered and if they bring up his miraculous turn to Jesus (to get him off of working Tuesday Smackdown tapings)

  14. I'd mentioned the speed in the past. It's just too fast. When you go back and play Wrestlefest you can tell right off the bat.  Chris Bey, Mr. Hughes, and James Storm were going to be the initial DLC. Not sure if any of that changed. There's just not a huge replay factor in this for me at the moment. The Chikara Action Arcade moved fast but it made sense. I prefer the little I played of that game to this by far sadly. I really wanted to love this game and maybe I would have had they not went out of their way to deem it the sequel to Wrestlefest.
